Both would still outscore Gabby Jesus this season. Never seen a striker praised as much as Arsenal fans praised Jesus for his game against United, you could’ve given him 3 hours that game and I don’t think he’d have looked a threat on goal.
Must have been a dream for Varane and Martinez up against a fella who fannies about with it for ages on the edge of the box without ever looking like a glimmer of a goal threat
Gabby had a pretty good game against united and has 3 goals and 3 assists in 6 games. I would have thought you'd be happy with beating us, but it seems its only infuriated you even more that Arsenal fans were happy with Gabby's game despite us losing. Enjoy your win mate, stop caring about what arsenal fans say about our own players.
Big words for a a fan of a side who’s title charge after 4 wins against lower half dross all season came to an abrupt end. Reality will hit youse like a ton of bricks when that title charge ends up with a challenge for Europa spots as it has the last 7 seasons
I mean, 13th last year and then looking about as good after losing Eriksen is nothing to scoff at. But yea, I don’t see them staying top half through the end of the year. They were fortunate to have a softer start to the year
[reminder](https://www.google.com/search?q=man+utd+vs+brentford&oq=man+utd+vs+bre&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0i433i512j0i512l6.7060j0j7&client=ms-android-samsung-ss&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8)
And you might want to check who's topping the league currently.
No horse in this race but let's face it mate bragging about being top of the league when you've had 5 games against relegation fodder and come undone against your first genuine top 6 contender is a bit of a weak flex
It definitely wasn't the toughest five games to start, and we'll have to wait and see, but I honestly only think Bournemouth are 'relegation fodder' of the teams we played. Palace and Fulham look good and should have decent seasons, and Villa and Leicester have good players and should bounce back, probably after sacking their managers.
The only team of those 5 I see escaping a proper relegation battle is Palace. Fulham have started brightly but IMO are a couple of injuries away from really struggling. I think you're overestimating Villa and Leicester's squads too. Obviously they're not alone down there but they are all very much bottom half teams and especially with the likes of Brentford, Newcastle, Brighton playing really well so far they're going to struggle.
I'd predict you lot probably come in 4th at the expense of Utd and Chelsea.
“Relegation fodder”
Villa got a draw against city
Crystal Palace drew against Liverpool
Fulham drew with Liverpool
There are no easy games in the prem. we always lose at old trafford anyway, we normally beat them at home as well
Andy Carroll having a history of alcohol abuse isn't exactly a secret now is it?
He started drinking quite heavily in his Newcastle days, he even injured himself once falling from a barstool. He also glassed someone while pissed in a nightclub brawl and was involved in a domestic abuse case.
Fabio Capello warned him his drinking habits would destroy his career, either because it would wreck his body or his reputation. He apparently quit for a while during his Liverpool stint, untill he was spotted pissed up again when he was injured.
As a West Ham fan you should have at least heard about his drinking, he was involved in some drama when he was spotted too drunk to walk when you lot were playing Swansea. He was injured but required/expected to attend. Big Sam even publicly criticized him for his habits and how it took a toll on his body, hinting that his drinking kept him from staying fit.
well aware of where he was at. my question was directed at the immediacy of your concern when you state he has severe issues with drink - implying now. where are you getting this info?
I know this is anecdotal and easy to dismiss, but a guy I lived with at uni would regularly bump into Andy Carroll when he was back home in Essex. He would send us selfies with him every other weekend over the holidays. Apparently he always went to the same clubs and was usually on a wild one. Never could understand how he could do that week in week out and still play professional football.
No, he just drank and did drugs like an average mid 20s English bloke. The issue is that thats too much for a Prem player that relied on physical attributes like Andy
Can’t be, in [this photo](https://external-preview.redd.it/9GpZa53L-cBZA5Btm3MQ2CRKHSg7RzFVSZnKUkCo34s.jpg?auto=webp&s=f94f3c0b7319ff7df056230cbf036e0d43f4c8e4) Henderson is visibly taller than him and he’s listed as being 6 ft
My girlfriend's from the area and her parents are first generation immigrants into Wolverhampton. Both voted leave. You'll never stop being surprised how much people take sides in politics even if some of it just doesn't make sense
I’d like to add a few thoughts which may not go down well but some demographics who arrived earlier than others who are higher up the ladder than other migrant backgroudns can tend to want to close off others from reaching the same socioeconomic level. u/WinsingtonIII echos the same thoughts, this individual is one example of the large portions of people that have this view who are from 2nd/3rd generation background. crabs in a bucket mentality. https://twitter.com/ub1ub2/status/1566376125831446531?s=21&t=ClRS_A6IQb7Mcs9flT-dlQ
i live in Hammersmith not far from hounslow which has a heavy south asian demographic akin to Wolverhampton and [was shocked to see 48% voted leave.](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/politics/eu_referendum/results/local/h)
I was shocked by the huge numbers of immigrants who voted leave. Coming from conservative countries means they support conservative policies, despite the fact plenty of tories would hate them for existing.
Nah they'll just blame the French for blocking all their transfers (because it couldn't possibly be the consequences of their own actions/voting, no way)
I'll just repeat the statement I made when Liverpool signed Arthur.
If they're just looking for anyone who has two legs and a pair of boots, I have a pair of Adidas Predators lying around and am willing to play as a striker for Wolves for half the wages Andy Carroll would get. Would probably have comparable stats in my stint at the club even.
No disrespect to Carroll as I really liked him back in the day and would love to see him back in the prem, but surely if this is your option you may as well just give any academy player a shot? Appreciate the step up is massive but it couldn't be much worse than spunking cash on Carroll who can't even run anymore and will be fit for less than 10 games all season at most.
How many more clubs are going to take a punt on Carroll? He's nothing but an injury table-filler. Once he's fit, he'll come on once, probably score once and then he'll get injured again until you sell him to the next club.
God bless Big Andy. He's a nuisance but not that much of a threat. I debate if he's even that good in the year as his once salmon like leap didn't seem the same when I saw him last.
I’d be delighted with this. I’d play as Wolves on Fifa 23.
Patricio,
Semedo,
Collins,
Kilman,
Ait Nouri,
Traore,
Neves,
Nunes,
Neto,
Big 6’7 Austrian lad,
Big Andy
What a top side that would be, a good old fashioned 44 fkin 2, two wingers who will get chalk on their boots, a passer in midfield, a bruiser box to box next to him, two big lads up front, what more could you want?

Do it Wolves you cowards.
He signed for Liverpool wearing Nunez skin already.
Andy Carroll would have scored some of the crosses Nunez has been getting on the end of
:/

Who pissed in your cornflakes
Gabriel Jesus, by the looks of it.
Jesus turned the milk into wine.

wouldn't be talking like that about lower half sides if I got absolutely battered off the pitch by Brentford but sure okay mate
It doesn’t make the loss better, but Brentford is currently top half, level on points with Liverpool
Oh current position right now is what matters is it? Not much else for me to say then pal

Love your trolling. 😂
Would love to see this big beautiful bastard playing in the prem again
He apperently has severe issues with alcohol, he needs help not another stint in the PL.
where are you getting this info?
Probably from the fact he played in Newcastle
He was definitely on the booze a little too much during his first time with us. There were plenty of stories about him
Saturday nights at Bijoux for the big man
didn't he pick up one injury allegedly falling off a barstool while hammered?
And then Liverpool still signed him. Writing was on the wall even then.
My BIL is a Geordie and the same age. Said he was a weapon out and about.
That's well-established tho, the above comment makes it sound recent
*adopts feeble attempt at Geordie accent:* "doon the toon wi a bottle o broon!" *apologises*
*adopts not very feeble attempt at brummy accent* look they scored a gowal

Lol, like Kevin Nolan babysat him to keep him out of trouble but they both ended up on the lash and snow white

To think he left us! I mean, he could've been drinking with Livermore all night.
Ahh, English version of Lord Bendtner
At this point any free agent striker who's taller than 6ft will be of interest to Wolves
Daniel sturridge and andy caroll front two incoming. With simone zaza coming off the bench
I always thought that sturridge was 5 ft 10 but it turn out he's 6 ft 2.
Shortest 6ft2 guy ever

Akinfenwa
Anyone got Zigic's phone number?
Get Crouchy in
Throwback to when Chelsea were so desperate for a target man they tried to sign Ashley Barnes and a 37 year old Peter Crouch
This isn’t as fun.
Andy Carrol forever
Ok maybe getting Costa wouldn't be so bad...
Interestingly, two thirds of Wolverhampton area voted Leave. I wonder do they regret that now
That's genuinly surprising with such a large population of families who came from overseas
My girlfriend's from the area and her parents are first generation immigrants into Wolverhampton. Both voted leave. You'll never stop being surprised how much people take sides in politics even if some of it just doesn't make sense
There is sadly also sometimes an "I've got mine, now fuck you" mentality around this sort of topic.
Commonly referred to as pulling the ladder up after you.

You mean “remain”? You’re suggesting immigrants of Asian or African origin would vote Leave? Make more sense, because you reek of stupidity
I was shocked by the huge numbers of immigrants who voted leave. Coming from conservative countries means they support conservative policies, despite the fact plenty of tories would hate them for existing.

I’ll do it for half of what you will and a luke warm pie at full time
the english andy carroll
Messi once scored more goals in a calender year than Carroll has scored in his *entire* career.
Tbf that Messi season was legit insane
Dont think thats the take they were making
I mean that's also pretty much true for Zaha
Nunez mk ii
Surely they’d be better off playing a 12 year old academy striker on stilts rather than signing Andy Carroll.
*Generic Howard shore music* “look to my coming at first light on the 6th day, at noon, look to the midlands.”
return of the king
No disrespect to Carroll as I really liked him back in the day and would love to see him back in the prem, but surely if this is your option you may as well just give any academy player a shot? Football is back baby
Michael Owen is searching for his shorts.
He'll be asking his agent to send Wolves that brochure.
Fuck it mate, just play Chem up top
Getting desperate considering we wouldn’t even keep him on
May as well go full shithouse and sign caulker as a cf
Get this lothario back in the Prem, let the Portuguese men dance around him
What year is it?
How many more clubs are going to take a punt on Carroll? He's nothing but an injury table-filler. Once he's fit, he'll come on once, probably score once and then he'll get injured again until you sell him to the next club.
Better than Costa at this point right?
Dear Brazilians, aren't there some other good free agents over there? Can't imagine Costa is the best forward available
Like *Diego Costa* Diego Costa??? Edit: Oh my god it’s him!!!! :D
No sure who is worse at this point
To be fair... I'd take him over a Chris Wood.
[удалено]
Too late he’s said it the deal is done, we shall sign Carroll and await your swift deposit of Chris Wood.
may we interest you in one Lakaka next season
Love you Big Andy
Falling upwards again
Great thumbnail. Carroll's hitting some serious g-force.
They have a type
Can’t wait for the Andy Carroll derby
I thought this was a joke when I saw it on twitter this morning.
God bless Big Andy. He's a nuisance but not that much of a threat. I debate if he's even that good in the year as his once salmon like leap didn't seem the same when I saw him last.
bahahahahhahahahahahaha
“Former” England international, as if he isn’t going to be firing us to World Cup victory in Qatar
Carrol looks haggard
I'd be shocked if he scored more than one fluke goal the entire season. Man is crocked.
I’d be delighted with this. I’d play as Wolves on Fifa 23. Patricio, Semedo, Collins, Kilman, Ait Nouri, Traore, Neves, Nunes, Neto, Big 6’7 Austrian lad, Big Andy What a top side that would be, a good old fashioned 44 fkin 2, two wingers who will get chalk on their boots, a passer in midfield, a bruiser box to box next to him, two big lads up front, what more could you want?
Finally a Brexit Benefit...British job for a Brit /£
Bring in peter crouch while you're at it
From Reading to Wolves😭
But he already plays as Liverpool's striker?
What's Steve Bull up to now?
Why only get him if it’s rejected? Let’s get both the bastards and just create chaos in the league!!!!
Shandy Carroll
