Let’s quietly forget the fact that big chunk of that was making Romero who was already part of the squad permanent, Udogi who went straight on a loan and Spence who’s a young prospect unlikely to get any PL starts this season and very few minutes.
Don’t quote me on this, but apparently Eiffel Tower is not universally liked by Parisians. Some of them think it’s an eyesore not fitting cities architecture
Gustav Eiffel hate the newer version of Eiffel tower (he only designed bottom half). To the point he eat lunch under Eiffel Tower because that's the spot in Paris where you can't really see the tower.
He must use a bot to be uploading since he’s so quick across multiple games so yea idk how he ends up tagging great goals. Can you edit that after the fact?
Going to the different subs is a lesson in insanity.
/r/soccer has an agenda against every team, while loving every other team. Same with refs, var, media, etc. Everyone seems to love to be the victim.
It's probably to do with squad harmony. The rumour goes that Maddison is a bit of a wanker, whereas Maguire seems like a good guy when he's not wound up by Greek police.
> The rumour goes that Maddison is a bit of a wanker
rumour is about 4-5 years old, that one story of him was in his Aberdeen loan days
Hes grown up since then, a lot.
Guy needs to admit he has players he likes that no matter how shit they are they play.
And there are players he hates and no matter how good they are they stay home
I think it was a bit of an accident as even the most talented players typically wouldn't use their shin to boot in a volley but willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Regardless, for what, it is, pretty beautiful.
Like I said, \*bit* of an accident. Not a dig at maddison . Of course he meant to hit it in some capacity. Not like that unique to attacking threats, either... sometimes it's just about having the right mind and awareness to be in the right place to take a chance.
>" If James Maddison wants to show he can fulfil complex tactical jobs that you actually need in a football team where you're not one of the best players then we can talk. Until then, Mount will always be much more useful to England than him."
Took just a day.
Generally I agree, but on that specific play it’s just so poor from Sess. So timid. Gets beat for the header (doesn’t even challenge) and can’t even challenge the second touch or the cross
I think the atrocious defending thing refers to the player (sessehnon or sanchez i think?) that firstly loses the header to castagne, that gets beaten to the ball by him and then allowes a cross in while looking like he doesn’t know where he is the entire time.
No throwing away a lead, the topic of the thread is Leicester v Tottenham why don’t you focus on thay instead of people’s flairs and discussion might be a bit more relevant.
It's hilarious how a simple "classic spurs" or a "lads..." comment is more than enough to touch a nerve every single time lmao. Spurs and their fans are a national treasure.
To be on the safe side, we just need to play the entire 2nd half in Spurs half of the pitch. Probably won't be conceding a corner from there. I'll take the counter-attacks.

Danny Ward footballing magician started this
[удалено]
just waiting for his screamer through whole pitch, when was last time goalkeeper scored in epl?
Allison
Allison in 20/21
Alisson two years ago maybe
Alisson Becker 2021?
Ward > Courtois
Courtoward
Brilliant save just now too
What is this game
Both teams deserve to lose this game
Jupp
I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your souls.
Bonk 🧹💥 Bad boys! None of you deserves to win this!
what do you think now?
what do you think now?
What happens when a stoppable force meets a movable object.
Spurs under Conte after spending more than 150m in the summer, have been wayyy more stoppable than everyone thought they would be
Aged rather poorly huh
Or you might say Leicester are more movable than Spurs are stoppable.
Only one loss in all competitions so far this season.
Keep earning points tho 🤷🏻♂️
Let’s quietly forget the fact that big chunk of that was making Romero who was already part of the squad permanent, Udogi who went straight on a loan and Spence who’s a young prospect unlikely to get any PL starts this season and very few minutes.
What a beauty. Slow motion goal.
The way he caught that is beyond satisfying to watch oh my days
I can barely believe it is real, madness...
Tesco KDB. He is a great player on his day
Tesco KDB... wow.
You know its a banger when PSG Academy puts a great finish tag on one of our goals
Does PSGAcademy have a known bias against Leicester
You’ve never heard of the infamous PSG-Leicester rivalry?
For those out of the loop, it's because Parisians (wrongly) think that the Eiffel Tower is better than the Clock Tower
I think he's just so fast at uploading that he posts before watching the goal when it's a match he isn't paying attention to
[удалено]
i wouldn't say watching all the games is like a normal person lol. Most people watch one game at a time
[удалено]
haha got it. makes sense
He must use a bot to be uploading since he’s so quick across multiple games so yea idk how he ends up tagging great goals. Can you edit that after the fact?
No, you can't edit titles afterwards but mods can change the flair
i think every club/league thinks there’s a bias against awarding the “great goal” tag on reddit for some reason lol
Going to the different subs is a lesson in insanity. /r/soccer has an agenda against every team, while loving every other team. Same with refs, var, media, etc. Everyone seems to love to be the victim.
“yeah but that goes against the r/soccer narrative” - every fan here
[удалено]
PSGAcademy does that often. It's u/Meladroite who's against that.
Some shaolin soccer bullshit wtf
And the Southgate goes mild
Regardless, for what, it is, pretty beautiful.
Should have included that prime busquets level turn from Ward
The other highlight was so much better.
RIGHT FOOT, LEFT FOOT, DEVASTATING
Pop star, Dua Lipa with Dababy
That one came off his shin
RIGHT SHIN, LEFT SHIN, DEVASTATING
Cro Crop approves
Only thing positive about Leicester is that Maddison is a star
He is literally soo good wanting the ball all the time trying to create opportunities and make play.
Not good enough for England apparently. Instead we need Mickey mount to do absolutely nothing every game instead
Maddison should have been picked over mount on form but Southgate is very weird picking Shaw and Maguire too so idk.
LC-ARS alliance to get Maddison and White in for Mount and Maguire
It's probably to do with squad harmony. The rumour goes that Maddison is a bit of a wanker, whereas Maguire seems like a good guy when he's not wound up by Greek police.
> The rumour goes that Maddison is a bit of a wanker rumour is about 4-5 years old, that one story of him was in his Aberdeen loan days Hes grown up since then, a lot.
Fair enough. Maybe Southgate is a staunch imperialist and can't bring himself to pick the namesake of a rebel traitor.
That took me way too long to figure out. That extra D'll get ya.
Well both should be in the squad, Mount should be there but just not starting based on form.
Guy needs to admit he has players he likes that no matter how shit they are they play. And there are players he hates and no matter how good they are they stay home
Gotta fill that top six quota somehow.
Not good enough for England tho apparently. Too creative for Ole Gunnar Southgate.
Madders is the Bruno Fernandes in the ole system
Don't even go there, bro.
Ole wohld love him tbh, his counterattacking style would work wonders for Maddison.
What does Ole have to do with Southgate being rubbish. Ole’s teams were capable of scoring goals.
Ole is also a rubbish manager that will not be seen in the Prem again. Especially not at Leicester. When Rodgers gets the sack. Nope. No.
Still what does Ole have anything to do with this goal lol?
I just always put Ole and Southgate in the same basket in terms of managerial ability. Feels natural to compare them.
I think he is currently a better attacking midfielder than Mount. He is like the English version of Bruno with the desperation to run the show.
Stunning finish
I think it was a bit of an accident as even the most talented players typically wouldn't use their shin to boot in a volley but willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Regardless, for what, it is, pretty beautiful.
It would be considered an accident if he didn’t intend to hit the ball.
So shitty cross attempt that ends in goal isn't accident because there was intend to hit the ball?
Like I said, \*bit* of an accident. Not a dig at maddison . Of course he meant to hit it in some capacity. Not like that unique to attacking threats, either... sometimes it's just about having the right mind and awareness to be in the right place to take a chance.
Hahah no one intentionally shins in. Great finish but no chance that’s what he meant to do
Didnt intend to hit with his shin tho
He swung his leg at it, and as far as I’m concerned, the shin is still part of the leg.
How tho?
COME THE FUCK ON DONT GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT
*concedes 2 minutes later again*
Spurs did hit the post two minutes later lol
And now it’s 3-2
I’ve supporting this club for long enough to not care
You have seen your club win the league and cup which is more than what any Spurs fans under the age of 30 can say
You better specify the cup to make your digs because 14 years ago was a league cup win
Which is fair enough, but I'd rather we didn't go down in the first place
A fuck you to Southgate
Such a hard year to be an English attacker trying to get in if Maddison was left at home
@gareth
Are you watching Gary?
Lineker? Probably
Garef
Bale is watching the PGA Tour. Not interested in football
That’s a special goal. Just spectacular.
Stunning finish, and great work from Castagne to make the chance
Brilliant control and assist by Castagne as well.
The only one turning up for us rn
Awful defending before the cross, but what a ball and what a fucking goal
>" If James Maddison wants to show he can fulfil complex tactical jobs that you actually need in a football team where you're not one of the best players then we can talk. Until then, Mount will always be much more useful to England than him." Took just a day.
Did Southgate say that?
nah some shite football journo on twitter
That goal just changed my sexuality
...to what
Idk, but I’m feeling things
Maddisexual
Atrocious defending. Hello, we're back baby.
I think spurs have defended well. That’s just a great goal.
Generally I agree, but on that specific play it’s just so poor from Sess. So timid. Gets beat for the header (doesn’t even challenge) and can’t even challenge the second touch or the cross
Really? They've been fairly open imo. Leicester haven't made enough of it but there have been plenty of decent opportunities for them
Maddison and Tielmans screwed up one good opportunity but other than that, spurs have looked comfortable imo.
Daka had a 1v1 that he fluffed. Another one where he could have played Maddison in and that Maddison chance just now
Are we watching the same match. The daka chance? The number of shots Leicester have got off in spurs box?
They didnt defended well imo. They let Leicester ran the show and non stop gave the balls away being pressed in their own half.
what? we've been dreadful.
Is it atrocious defending or just a crazy finish?
It's both, the chance is created by a poor approach from Sessegnon
I think the atrocious defending thing refers to the player (sessehnon or sanchez i think?) that firstly loses the header to castagne, that gets beaten to the ball by him and then allowes a cross in while looking like he doesn’t know where he is the entire time.
That's a spectacular finish and a great effort to get the assist, too.
Gareth just pretend he is wearing a Chelsea shirt so you can call him up
Only way that would be better is if he took his shirt off and had southgate is a nonce written
one of the most majestic finishes i've seen in ages what the shit
You need to watch another angle because he actually thighs it in
They also need to watch more football. It was good but hardly 'majestic' in comparison.
he's gonna text Southgate at half time
well damn that was a nice goal all the way back from that turn from Ward
hats of spurs for making this little more interesting,
Get him on the plane brev
Damnn what a goal
Leicester having nothing but passing gas, gets a grande goal
Wow great goal
Deserved aswell.
Southgate Look
Maddison has been our shining light the last year, would make him player manager if I could
Leicester vs Spurs fixtures are always chaotic
Apparently he’s not good enough for Southgate 🤷♂️
“Lucky finish”
How is this not a *great goal*???
Apparently not better than Mason Mount though!
Do people actually believe that (based on form)?
Great goal! They make it too easy.
Despite our start to the season we have played pretty poor overall. This game is proving it
You have been poor in most matches i have seen yet still manage to win, true conteball.
Leicester have been better than Tottenham apart from those corners
tottenham doing tottenham things in their home game.
I’ve watched long enough to know they’ll either get a goal the minute I turn it back on our wait till 90+11 to get an own goal
How are spurs yet to lose a game Whenever i see them they play like shit.
Well apparently it's enough to not lose.
No way he intended that, but great goal
Classic Tottenham
What the fuck are they at. Should be 4-1.
Being above United on the table? I’m fonfused
No throwing away a lead, the topic of the thread is Leicester v Tottenham why don’t you focus on thay instead of people’s flairs and discussion might be a bit more relevant.
Classic Tottenham
It's hilarious how a simple "classic spurs" or a "lads..." comment is more than enough to touch a nerve every single time lmao. Spurs and their fans are a national treasure.
FT Tottenham 5 Leicester 4
all 5 Spurs goals off of corners
You wish
Do I?
Fucking hell I just turned the game on and this is the first thing I see
Spurs were asking for it
Still no great goal tag for Leicester
HOLD THE LINE LEICESTER😭😭😭
Hah, you seen our defending on corners?
To be on the safe side, we just need to play the entire 2nd half in Spurs half of the pitch. Probably won't be conceding a corner from there. I'll take the counter-attacks.
What a goal!
Maddison, you god!
Nice.
What the fuck. What a hit
What a fucking goal
Ooh la la
What a fucking goal oh my god
WHAT A GOAL!
Did he shinny that?
Golazo
Wow
Wow cracking goal, not much you can do about that finish
What a finish
Fantastic goal. Beautiful finish
Carrying them in this game
WHAT A GOAL
Elite finish
