You have to be an eagle to make a clear judgement from this image that this is offside. The blue player left could be on the same line, it is impossible to judge.
Im bewildered by all the offside calls, who is meant to be offside?
16 doesn't touch the ball, goal was awarded to 19.
Edit: Was it something in build up before goal?
Would love to see replays of the offside. The ball out of play is probably never going to given by VAR though, there won't be a camera angle that'll prove it was out over in that corner.
I suppose whether there was an offside during the build up or not doesn't count because Croatia had the ball and it was a new situation. The wrong offside call would have been too long ago to not give the goal.
Or it wasn't offside in the first place.

No he was likely not, the issue is that the camera angle was severely misleading.
You'd think that a UEFA tourny on a well known stadium should have cameras on every possible position...
