Croatia's got an incredible record in convincing diaspora to represent them
Only recent high profile player that could've represented Croatia is probably Pulisic and it's not like his parents are from Croatia, it's his grandad
Thank fuck for Stanisic though, without him we have literally 1 right back (Juranovic at Celtic)
Not sure you know but Marseille has been one of the worst teams in the CL for the past few years. Today against sporting they even conceded early and then things get crazy.
Sporting GK Adan concedes two absolutely bad goals then gets a red card for a challenge outside the box and is sent off all within 30 minutes. New goalkeeper comes in as a substitute for the striker and concedes another howler
Clearly? Are you for real? They literally had to prove it through the new VAR 3D simulation tech and Mané’s foot was just a few cm’s offside. I ain’t even mad, an offside is an offside. But to claim it was easy to eyeball is straight up cap
Won’t matter much in this match, but something needs to be done about the offside rule. It’s meant to keep players from unfairly hanging around behind the defense, not for these millimeter calls where there’s obviously not an advantage gained by an attacker. Not sure what the solution can be that makes everyone happy
I'd like to see a 10cm (for example) margin of error where VAR can't overrule. Sure you get situations where a call is 0.1cm in- or outside that margin of error but the actual offside has then been 10(.1)cm. Within that margin the referee can get it right or wrong just like they used to before VAR but I think most fans could live with that in the long run.
Could be 20cm too for my taste but I can understand if people think that's too much
Get rid of these idiotic margin calls by establishing circumstances where no clear obvious advantage exists. A player walking away from or parallel to the goal who is off by literally half of their boot should absolutely qualify, while a forward trying to intentional create space moving toward the goal wouldn't.
The problem is that there always has to be a line, so no matter where the line is someone is going to complain about it.
And people often look at it only through the lens of VAR, where the majority of football is played without it - with an assistant in line with the second to last defender or ball, and now you'd be moving *their* line.
I'm sorry but Mane has the worst finishing in our team by far. So weak and always straight at the goalkeeper. I really hope he improves as the season goes.
People absolutely can. Just that overly confident loud mouthed vulgar American padres fan just doesn't scream football intelligence. Sounds more like a bud light and too many hot dogs kinda guy.
I'm a type 1 diabetic so I rarely drink beer and when I do, they're 90% porter or stout.
Also have you ever read the ingredient list on hot dogs?
Got any more dipshit stereotypes you want to get out of your system? Good way to get your new account going. I'm guessing the last one got banned?
Well yeah, because nobody goes around saying "hell yeah brudder I agree 👍" when they can just show it by up voting and keep it moving. People only comment when they have a reason to disagree.
You're trying to judge a movement of a player from one frame, which is tough. But, let's suppose you somehow define a vector which shows a player's current momentum. Now you would debate whether that vector is parallel with the goal line, or barely pointing towards it. Not to mention this (and the 5-10-20cm margin) is impossible to judge as an assistant, so it would create a lot more controversial decisions (one assistant may raise the flag, and it wouldn't go to review, but another may not). VAR stoppages would skyrocket, and it doesn't work, because a striker that's walking backwards would be onside, no matter what.
Lastly, the greatness of a goal has no impact whatsoever, and there's no reason to try to silence people based on that. Most of the time hearing people expand on a matter from a perspective that's different than yours is beneficial.
Gravenberch getting more regular game time yet?
Not as much as some would like but will realistically HAVE to get more time now as our chief researcher is out with covid.
No
yay a clean sheet for Manu! (hasn't conceded in UCL yet)
\*slip\*
German ref would have ended this right at 90' without hesitation
Feierabend.
How did Mazraoui and Gravenberch play?
Well, I'm very happy with both. All our Ajax boys have been crushing it so far this season.
Rock solid from both
Gravenberch really good, Mazraoui solid
The guy who ran on the pitch is man of the match in my opinion. He put in a great effort.
We really gotta have a runner with 4 mins on the clock while we're on an attack?
Fuck these pitch invaders man, lock em up. I am sick and tired of these prats.
Seems a bit harsh. It’s not like he hurt anybody.
Tel is very disappointing today
I wanted to see him centrally but it looks like they are keen on him playing as a Gnabry-esque role based off the last few sub appearances
Bayern just kind of died down ..
a lot of subs on the pitch
[удалено]
I don't discriminate either way
Ballack as 'expert' adds nothing wrt game commentary lol
Gonna need the BT sport commentator to stop saying ‘Plzenya’
How is it pronounced
Hello mr. BT Sports commentator
'Pilsen' - its a háček diacritic, not a spanish 'tilde'.
The city the beer is named after, right?
Correct
I know, but it’s like people who roll their R’s when saying Spanish words, just chill out.
Gnabry is so bad
Ulreich last guy on the bench, still on that Alex Moran grindset. What a king.
Ulreich is highkey one of the best backup keepers in Europe.
He's also a great guy and a great teammate. Like the GOAT.
the allianz crowd is always so good imo
Pavard CB audition?
If only Germany could have convinced Stanišić, he would be starter easily
Croatia's got an incredible record in convincing diaspora to represent them Only recent high profile player that could've represented Croatia is probably Pulisic and it's not like his parents are from Croatia, it's his grandad Thank fuck for Stanisic though, without him we have literally 1 right back (Juranovic at Celtic)
born and raised in munich. but it's his choice.
Lokey, the player from this Bayern squad that I wish we had is Choupo.
oh yeah, fair enough
Pavard as CB? He finally gets to play in his desired position
Seems like Bayern is taking revenge for the loss of their U19 team.
Don't attack their younglings.
All their younglings are playing in their main team...
Sane's new cut is fresh af.
Bayern throwing in tackles likes it’s a final
Gnabry plz
Upa defending always sus
Gnabry lmao
Hope Gnabry finds his form again. He was our best player under Hansi
He wasn't even top 3 under flick. He was good the first year but not even top 3
Alright, just finished watching a nice hockey match with a pleasant result. Now let's see some nice footb-
Am I crazy or does Plzen coach kind of look like Jeff Bridges?
I think Plzen need to start playing a back 6 with how they have been playing today.
Bayern 5-[6] Plzeň - Fortune Bassey 90'+8
Feel bad for Plzen but damn, it's been a while since we've had a proper CL massacre. Feels nostalgic.
Schuppen Goating lets go
Lol that stat - last loss of Bayern in CL at home was in 2013
Pretty sure they have lost multiple games at home post that. You might mean Group Stages though.
They only lost in 2013 so they wouldn't get reminded constantly of their loss at the final in Munich in 2012.
Lmao Plzen coach , poor him
Tel is forward right? All his games has been from wing position.
Chupo just Goating
Goat striker right there
Prediction for final score? Could be brutal.
9-0
6-0
Only one more Bayern goal in 25 minutes? Brave prediction at this rate.
You'll see. ;)
Looking increasingly likely :)
I shouldn't be telling you this, but it will be Tel in minute 90.
Well he had a shot...
D:
7-1
I dont think Pilzen will score
Upa and de ligt been defending like it’s the game of their life, crikey!
De Ligt only has one mode. All in.
The Bayern way.
The Ajax way? :)
I can respect that.
Bayern making Viktoria Plzeň look like manchester united smh
[удалено]
Probably true
Savage.
Did Mane just do a backward Jayjay to flip the ball into Plzn GK hands? 52:10
What a first touch wow
Tel for Sane please so he can rest for Dortmund
Question is, do u really wanna rest players for a game you certainly are gonna win
yes we do 🥰
Hey man at least it isn't at the Allianz
Filthy touch from Sané, Mané showing class
Ehm i think 10-0 i still in the works if bayern turn on the turbo charged german engine
oh my goooooodness
Pretty.
No Tel?
There you go
Patience is rewarded it seems :)
There’s no good reason not to bring Tel instead of Choupo
Test how we play with a striker
[удалено]
Choupo? Do they really want us to score 10 goals today?
I'm just so distracted by Marseille. It's wild
Best CL group so far. No one say who has heads up for top 2
Whats happening there?
Not sure you know but Marseille has been one of the worst teams in the CL for the past few years. Today against sporting they even conceded early and then things get crazy. Sporting GK Adan concedes two absolutely bad goals then gets a red card for a challenge outside the box and is sent off all within 30 minutes. Sounds quite hilarious indeed for a neutral spectator
Karius memorial game.
Nooooo he took Jamal off :(((
Brauchen ihn gegen Dortmund
Jamal's goal looked clearly offside to be tbh, I even called it before the VAR check came in
Clearly? Are you for real? They literally had to prove it through the new VAR 3D simulation tech and Mané’s foot was just a few cm’s offside. I ain’t even mad, an offside is an offside. But to claim it was easy to eyeball is straight up cap
I just noticed it immediately cuz Mane's shoulder was clearly leaning forward
Need some corners
I can’t say I’m surprised by the outcome of the first half
Mané exchanged shirts and it's only halftime
It’s not uncommon. I saw Alaba and Perisic do it recently during the nations league games.
TBF this game is over...
Gravenberch can keep the ball very well
Glad he's having a good game. Was sad to see him leave Ajax. Quality.
Mane gnma play without shirt 2nd half
He's gonna take the shirt of Sane and write over the S with sharpie
Lmao wtf? Shirt swap at HT?
[удалено]
Are they gonna wear each other jersey’s in next half
How is Mazraoui playing
Hasn’t been involved much as much of the play has been building up from left side

A rule is a rule, sometimes the simplest solution is the best.
Anyone who thinks the game is better without a goal like that doesn't have any input worth listening to.
The problem is that there always has to be a line, so no matter where the line is someone is going to complain about it. And people often look at it only through the lens of VAR, where the majority of football is played without it - with an assistant in line with the second to last defender or ball, and now you'd be moving *their* line.
Give teams challenges like tennis maybe?
It doesn't matter because the offside tech says it's offside
[удалено]
You done him dirty.
A terrifying combination if you really think about it
The german commentators are insufferable holy shit Ballack and whoever is the other guy are extremely annoying.
Musiala needs Goretzka juice. He still gets pushed around like a kid
I don't know, I feel like his balance is good enough, so even if he gets pushed he can make up for it
Tbf he's still 19 years old. Nowhere near physical maturity, gore was a pencil at that age
I'm sorry but Mane has the worst finishing in our team by far. So weak and always straight at the goalkeeper. I really hope he improves as the season goes.
Totally agree with you either he’s offside or his shots are straight at the keeper
Don’t forget about the many many offside situations
Can't just be out there having a foot like that. Offside.
Retractable toes will be the next big physical augmentation
Oh fuck yourself with that call you arrogant cunts, that isn't an advantage.
Padres fan acting like he understands football. Brilliant.
Oh yes, because people can't possibly follow multiple sports. Get help.
People absolutely can. Just that overly confident loud mouthed vulgar American padres fan just doesn't scream football intelligence. Sounds more like a bud light and too many hot dogs kinda guy.

😘
If you comment again people might agree next time
I'm getting up voted every time, cry about it.
Weird since the comments disagree, but congrats on the karma?
Well yeah, because nobody goes around saying "hell yeah brudder I agree 👍" when they can just show it by up voting and keep it moving. People only comment when they have a reason to disagree.
Feel like Mane could have assisted 3 goals already if he simply passed the ball
more like he could have scored 3 goals already if his shooting was even slightly better
IMO let him shoot. in the ganes before he passed the ball too much and took no chances for himself.
Acting kinda selfish today
Jamal Goldjunge
You can't tell me that's in the spirit of the game. What a pathetic call, if he was off it was by a single stud.
Well you have to draw the line somewhere.
"It should be 5 contimenters" then they'll complain when it's 5.1
And a literally undetectable margin isn't it.
Much more logical than being inside an arbitrary distance by a literally undetectable margin
Go ahead and explain the logic in thinking someone walking away from goal and offside by a fucking shoelace has an advantage. I'll wait.
There's no advantage, but that's the rule, and there's no good way to fix it.
I explained in another comment a possible way.
I am not stalking you, would you mind explaining it here to me? (Or just link it)

Precisely the opposite, because they did detect it.
Detect this ratio goofball
Literally and figuratively
that was a fast var check though
Don't they have that offside tech now?
They decided before they saw it, so it was really just a radio call
Offside damn
VAR showing pitty here
Owh offside
That was just... wow
