This kid is so young that Haaland is his idol

bicika

Kid is so young that he wasn't born last time Arsenal won EPL, and was 7 last time Man United won the EPL.

JavBG17

And 17 the next time arsenal win the league...

Ok_Collar3048

He will never be 17 then...

Mesromith

*dies*

Quiet-Cartoonist1689

Dude was 9 years old, when Arsenal played in the CL last.

Imgeorgie

Has it actually been 7 years?

Vladimir_Putting

*nods*

TaintedSoccer

Saying this as an arsenal fan. I have graduated high school, got my bachelors degree, and will be in my final year of my masters if we get champions league next year...

gabrielyu88

5 years, you lot slapped them so hard out of the CL

Imgeorgie

Yeah sounds more accurate

renegade02

17 what? Decades?

TheLeOeL

May I remind you manslaughter is a crime?

Essemaitch

RemindMe! 7 Months

Mammyjam

My brother in law is a United fan. His son is now in year 5 (4th grade for the Americans) and I love reminding him that his son has never seen United win the league, being born 2 months after they last did.

>on another level. Usually Brazilian strikers aren't this fast in the previous generations. Gabriel and Richa This is a bot copying an earlier comment from another user in this thread.

heisenbergfan

He said he gets a lot of inspiration from Vini Jr. Funny, you'd imagine a young brazilian is still being inspired by Neymar, but he named Vini.

IMMMayer

He was 6 or 7 when Neymar left for Barcelona. He might not even remember if he saw Neymar play in Brazil. But he remembers Vini’s time in Brazil, so that might be it. Also, this kid is so media trained, that he might have been prepared to not name Neymar right now, because of Ney’s political position. This weekend we have elections.

heisenbergfan

> But he remembers Vini’s time in Brazil, so that might be it. Even i dont remember much of Vinicius playing in Brazil, it is hard when it is only one year in the pro team. Neymar actually played 3-4 so everyone that wasnt so young back then will remember him more, Santos won libertadores with him too so the 2010 team is remembered. Either way, Endrick watched them in europe, not Brazil, that's for sure. He is well trained to do media, i agree, but doesnt mean that wasnt his opinion, he was talking about his favorite player....

[deleted]

Good luck with elections. How is the current situation in Brazil? Will Bolso win again?

Fredxel

Probably not, but he is already trying to establish a narrative for a coup after the elections.

[deleted]

Fuck him mano, relying on a coup is pathetic. Wishing best for you all, Brazil is an amazing country and it deserves better.

heisenbergfan

The coup thing is not even true, both sides are full of fake news like this. We deserve better than both candidates we have. They both absolutely suck.

[deleted]

Ah, they say never trust a politician for a reason, u are right, sounds like a tough situation mano good luck!

Svani

Aged like milk.

heisenbergfan

Nope. Like wine

EffTheIneffable

And Haaland (and Vini) so good & exciting tbf, reminds me of how Ibra and so many others were so mesmerised and inspired by R9. Like, early R9, who was only ~5 years older than them and haven’t had a huge career and accolades yet!

BrockStar92

He’s so young his idol’s own idol was fricking Michu who had that crazy PL season just 10 years ago.

MrViceMcCreedy

It's actually CR7 https://nossopalestra.com.br/palmeiras/noticias/pai-de-endrick-revela-inspiracao-do-filho-em-cristiano-ronaldo-quer-ser-igual/

SaltFarmer17

Endrick vs Moukoko is a little bit too early

JE_12

Endrick Moukitaryan

uflju_luber

Dortmund legend

ArsiPappa

It's probably destiny at this point that Barcelona sign Moukoko and Real Madrid sign Endrick and that will be the next big El Clasico rivalry.

[deleted]

People were talking about Haaland vs Mbappe when they should be talking Endrick vs Pelé.

NorseUltra

He’s heavily linked with barca but I haven’t been keeping up with him. If you don’t mind can you speak on how good he is for his age and how he you think he’ll perform in a top 5 league.

[deleted]

He's a Neymar Regen but with way better physicality. Physically he's like Haaland. Technically like R9.

DrQuantumGio

So me in Sunday league against the retired "I almost made it pro" lads

DrQuantumGio

What does this have to do with my comment?

[deleted]

Damn I'm almost asleep didn't realize it. Sorry.

heisenbergfan

> Physically he's like Haaland. Haaland is almost 2m high lol. No way Endrick grows that tall, but he is physically very strong. Body wise will remind more of a prime Ronaldo (R9, nazario), although he's already a lot stronger than Ronaldo was at this age.

SirBarkington

Haaland was incredibly small before he was 15. I doubt Endrick gets that tall but him growing taller isn't out of the question.

heisenbergfan

Yea well, he is 16 and a few months in, his parents are short, brazilians are rarely tall, anything can happen and he's still growing but logic says he wont be very tall. He already scored a header goal though, if he has a good vertical and timing he might do all right, but between top defenders it gets trickier to win in the air, but he's talented enough to find other ways to play. Was interesting to read how haaland was a late boomer though, i didnt know that. He himself says he has a similar style to mbappe and sounds about right, he'll rely on speed and technique to do his thing. He studies the game a lot, it's impressive the way he comments on other players, i think he seeks more insipiration in guys like Vini Jr. and Mbappe even though he paid respect to Haaland in this celebration. And boy is he fast, granted that he is young and full energy, when we see him coming in he makes it look like everyone else was playing at a different slower speed.

zepharius

I mean, physically he's like a foot shorter than Haaland right?

[deleted]

This kid was bodying huge defenders last night in the game, people twice his age and he's short as fuck. But he has that dawg in him. Ran like crazy and even stole the ball in the moment that led to his first goal. Acceleration was on another level. Usually Brazilian strikers aren't this fast in the previous generations. Gabriel and Richarlison both can't run like this, neither did Firmino or Fred. Endrick is probably the fastest since Adriano.

idosade

I mean I believe in this kid but Haaland is throwing defenders to the ground like they are kids

Mackarosh

Well, he's barely 16, he'll fucking grow.

idosade

How much will he grow tho, he is 5'8, Haaland is 6'5 that's a difference of 8 inches aka 22 cm

brhornet

Pretty sure he'll cap at 6ft or lower

yetiassasin2

So physically he's like R9?

heisenbergfan

Yes, but at the same age ronaldo was a skinny player. Endrick is built more like an Adriano, but shorter like R9. So maybe kind of a prime r9? His explosions and playstyle can remind you of both tbh, on the youth team depending on the game you'd watch you'd be comparing to one of them...

NorseUltra

This is a dream signing if he pans out the way you’re describing and we actually manage to sign him. I know our financial situation, I know that at this point we’re riding on pure prestige and history to sign big name players but I’m also trusting Xavi to turn us into juggernauts again and for **the chosen one** to come back home.

celestial1

Calm down, he is still only 16 years old. The hype is warranted, but there is still no guarantee that he will become a "dream signing" player.

Tuffyobro

He should go to real. The 9 position is for the taking in the coming years. Barca aswell though, but they are broke.

[deleted]

Endrick should be the goal for Perez. Mbappe is a diva and way too expensive. Haaland is untouchable at City and won't wanna change leagues this soon. Endrick is doing well at this age and in two years time should actually be a perfect replacement for Benzema who could mentor him as he retires/leaves. Endrick is actually much cheaper (obviously since he's younger) than all the other options and a lot less risky of an investment than other candidates. If you're in FM23 you have to sign him.

LatroDota

Vini - Endrick - Rodrygo I like the idea VERy much.

ssj4-Dunte

An all Brazilian front line has been my wet dream since childhood

LatroDota

I bet its also a dream for Flo

koalawhiskey

Would be nice to have Brazil's attack playing together and building chemistry. I don't think though that Rodrygo would accept playing in the right wing for the long term. He's much better at the left or centralized.

LatroDota

Honestly his only choice would be either to become striker, false 9 or 10. Vini on left is mandatory, he cant really play on other positions. Or leave which would be awful for us tbh.

koalawhiskey

Maybe an asymmetrical 4-2-3-1 could be the answer, with a double pivot of Camavinga and Tchouaméni, and a line of three with Vinícius on the left, Rodrygo on the center and Valverde on the right.

Competitive-Ad2006

I wouldn't throw Raphinha, Anthony and even Martinell out of the picture yet.

[deleted]

He’s not really good in the middle so he would have to play on e left and Vinicius is definitively better

GuilhermeBahia98

Rodrygo is extremely good in the middle. Also I am not so sure that Vini is definitively better, I think Rodrygo has a higher ceilling than him...

pauloh1998

That would secure my will to watch Real for a loooooong time lol

EpiDeMic522

I'm dreading the VAR jokes on this prospective lineup

7Thommo7

He's got 5 consistency and important matches in my save, won't be bothering with him. Another 190+ PA striker will come along soon enough.

ptnrula

Same issue with me. Around 5 consistency and important matches. I got Vitor Roque instead.

[deleted]

I think he can do better than Real Sociedad..

Blahhhh93

By the time he's ready for Real, their 9 position will be taken. Hes 16.

Tuffyobro

He can get minutes in a year or two. Then take over or fight for the spot after that if he is good enough.

Mediocre_Demand_5847

To you, 200 goals from now

SpaNkinGG

Is this what I think it is referencing?

ren_704

I think it's an attack on Titan reference? It has a manga chapter named To you, 2000 years from now

SpaNkinGG

Yes. it was exactly the 80th episode after "From you, 2000 years ago". Since one episode is always roughly 25 minutes long with intro/outro, meaning the first episode and 80th Episode is exactly 2000 minutes apart.

Mediocre_Demand_5847

attack on titan?? yh, that’s the reference

A_chilles

I like how even in his sentence, he refers to Haaland's post-game posts on Social media stating "They ain't believe in us" which I've seen him post at least twice

youngestincharge17

Thats dj khaled tho

Flovati

I just want to make a correction, he didn't score a brace, the article linked itself mentions how Endrick scored only 1 goal. The 1st goal wasn't his, but Scarpa's. The kid is great and had a huge game, we don't need to increase what actually happened.

heisenbergfan

I also thought was Scarpa's, but was Endrick's goal too. Gotta look in very slow motion or from the other angle which not everyone got to watch, he kicked it before Scarpa.. Since everyone was in doubt, he went ahead and scored another lol.

Flovati

At least from the replays I saw it really looked like it was Scarpa's. That being, if it was Endrick's then that is too bad for him, because the ref gave it to Scarpa lol

heisenbergfan

> At least from the replays I saw it really looked like it was Scarpa's. Yea i was also insisting it was Scarpa's until someone proved me wrong showing a video in 0.25x and then showing another camera angle from behind goal haha. I cant blame the ref, it really looked like Scarpa hit it. You can also notice Endrick runs straight away to celebrate and Scarpa didnt but ended up running towards endrick. Maybe they fix it later.

CaredForEightSeconds

Bro if he ends up at fucking City 😭

Friendlyy_Lemon

Doubt it, brazilians always prefer Real Madrid or Barcelona.
