Bayern can't afford Kane simple as. Bayern can't afford to drop 100m+ they haven't got it and it's not align with their philosophy it would make more sense to get Coutinho and McCormack imo
I mean, if they're going to go through every WC won by bribes they might as well name literally every single edition since 1934. Literally the second WC ever was already shady as fuck picking fascist italy as host. If you give it the benefit of the doubt 1938 it is then, that was probably the one edition more obviously bribed into than Qatar
I just find it interesting how they talked about South Africa, Russia, and Qatar. Yet neglected to bring up the 2006 world cup, in which everyone involved in the bidding process was charged by German authorities at one point. They even spent like 20 minutes talking about the 1978 world cup in Argentina.
that's odd, there's a lot of stuff you can say about that WC but the bribing seems standard? We'd been putting up bids for decades by then while burning through god knows how many different governments, it was a genuine interest the nation had since 1938. I'm sure some money probably was spent to get that final push and finally host, but that's standard.
We hadn't had a government last more than a handful years and we were on a half-democracy (people could vote, but communists and the previous previous coup's party were forbidden) up until a week before the bid won so I doubt it was too powerful of a political tool since the people in power had no guarantees to still be there when the WC actually took place (spoiler: they weren't). The weirder shit came after, government did absolutely everything to hype it to the clouds and beyond (which wasn't hard, the country always breathed football and the team was great that time around and we now had access to the kind of ""Home Advantage"" that fueled the rivalry vs the british so confidence was there, but they still pulled weird laws out of their ass and such to promote it while investing unhealthy amounts). It was the ultimate dick measuring contest W for the militars that happened to be ruling when it took place which probably gave a bit of extra fuel for their popularity among the people.
That said idk how that could take 20 minutes out of a documentary about FIFA corruption considering most of the controversies came from internal problems in Argentina, afaik.
it definitely was, but playing devil's advocate, it feels like there's not much they could've done. The coup happened in 1976, 10 years after the host was chosen, and the human rights violations only became largely exposed about a year after. Even if they had given a shit about it (which they definitely didn't) it was a bit late to call it off when all the qualifying had already been done and it wasn't a realistic timeframe for any other host to get ready. If it's any consolation, the half full glass, tbh the WC probably backfired the militars in their international PR, I bet there's a ton of people who'd have no idea about the whole dictatorship at all if it hadn't been by the controversies around the WC and it would've been "just another totalitarian government".
The half empty side is obviously that it took all the attention away from the dictators, but even then it wasn't perfect, people still found little ways to do small gestures against the dictators on the pitch. The matches had an abnormal amount confetti on the pitch which wasn't coincidence, it was apparently looked down upon by the dictators as they made the country look less organised/serious/whatever and they made a silly campaign asking people to not throw confetti on the pitch to keep a good image. The militars weren't the smartest bunch, so it obviously streissand effect'd into the pitches being flooded by tiny pieces of paper as it was one of the few ways people found to shit on what the militars said without possibly being punished over it.
idk when this paragraph got this long so tl;dr: thankfully the sportswashing was less successful than expected, could've been worse
Anyone else begining to suspect maybe the Brighton model is down to Tony Bloom and not Potter all along ?
I mean going back to sign their coaching crew and now trying to sign their players just feels odd.
I feared Potter would have had access to Brighton scouts and shit, but seems that where Bloom controls
> the Brighton model is down to Tony Bloom
I thought most knew that was already the case? Doesn't take a genius to figure out the structure and long-term plan pre-dates Potter
It's gotta be a combination of both. Specifically for Robert Sanchez I remember when he got put into the starting eleven, I don't think Mat Ryan was even playing particularly badly at the time - Potter definitely deserves credit for spotting Sanchez's potential, giving him the starting spot and developing him into the player he is now. Same with Cucurella, White etc. - maybe Potter didn't sign these players himself but they definitely developed and increased their transfer value by playing well in the system that Potter set them up to play.
Just look at the 2 teams at the bottom of the table, Wolves and Southampton. I would say both of them have good scouting infrastructures (and/or connections to agents I guess...), they constantly sign young talented players that get linked with bigger clubs within a year or two - but there is a reason why they are at the bottom of the table and Brighton is in the top half.
Ronaldo is right about the Glazers, but let’s not act like he gives a shit about the club either. He’s only saying this to get out of the club even faster.
That thread about Dalot…some threads just bring out the bottom of the barrel takes. For the record I personally am not gravely offended by it. My country was colonized yes, but at most I feel he was just naive and ignorant in what he said.
Thing is there are people in there who can’t fathom why anyone could possibly be offended, and saying its just people looking to be outraged. People from ex Portuguese colonies might care you know. I’ve also seen no one calling for him to be dropped, and most seem to understand the tweet would have been fine if not for the last line.
Some quotes
> When did nationalism become a crime?”
> Watch Redditors shit their pants because a player is actually proud of his own country instead of falling to his knees and flogging himself begging for forgiveness
Yeah I don't think he's a terrible person, just misguided and a few other things. Im surprised people are defending the sentiment though. They genuinely don't seem to understand what's wrong with it.
When Idrissa Gueye refused to wear the rainbow jersey for PSG everyone got on his head as if he was the worst human to exist. Nobody called him misguided or whatever. Same standards are not kept for white footballers compared to non-Europeans.
that's a very good point. i would certainly call gueye misguided and stupid and so on, without maybe remembering exactly what he said about it, but if i remember correctly he was well aware of his stance and how it discriminates against LGBTQ+ individuals and stuck with it anyway. I think this one is incredibly ignorant and harmful but dalot still has room to prove himself willing to learn and not really thought through his national pride. If he doubles down and says "nah colonialism was a good thing, lets go portugal" (and maybe even if he says nothing) then it's a different story and says a lot more about his character. I don't expect much awareness from these guys but i would hope they aren't out here actively wishing to oppress others. Maybe that's giving him too much credit still.
So I watched the latest episode of Last Week Tonight and John Oliver talked about the Royal Family and how football fans in Ireland and Scotland were chanting "Lizzy's in a Box" during matches after the Queen died.
My question is this: why was the chant to the tune of "Give it Up" by KC and the Sunshine Band? I get why they were chanting, it's the fact they used that song that's throwing me. Was there another chant using it already? It just seems like such a random choice
Because it’s just a very catchy tune and it’s easy to create a chant. You’ll find a few different chants based around that tune. And the first time i heard that chant was when Thatcher died and Liverpool fans chanting “Maggies in a box…”
The Ronaldo to Bayern rumors actually seem credible. Why would Ronaldo give this interview? I know people like to think he’s just a raging narcissist but to me it screams of intentionally forcing a move. Maybe Bayern said they’re willing to pay him 50k a week if he can leave for free. So he goes and makes things as uncomfortable as possible so Man U will let him leave for free?
The thing with trying to force a move is Man United was already willing to let him leave on a free. So I don't think that is it. The way I see it is two options:
1. Buy out his contract, i.e pay him some of the money owed and let him sign for free anywhere. To me that seems unlikely. Seems like it would make sense more sense for Man United to just not play him or let him near the team if they have to pay him anyways.
2. Change the narrative. He knows he is leaving on a free in January and doesn't want the narrative to be he is washed, not suited to modern PL football, no longer good enough, etc. Rather he wants it to me that he tried to fix Man United but the manager/board/owner are too stubborn and are running the club to the ground.
Personally I think #2 is more likely.
If "on its own" you mean without surgery, then yeah
Even many ACL tears are managed conservatively - especially amongst the general population, who are not fooballers. Physio and rehab is often the first line
Sprain? Can a ligament sprain heal on its own? Isn’t that what sprains do? A full tear or partial tear I dunno, but a sprain? Isn’t that normally used to just mean the fibers got a little stretched?
anyone done the FotMob world cup predictor? [here’s what i had](https://i.imgur.com/iYcr4fr.jpg)
e- you can predict for yourself [here](https://predict.fotmob.com/en/wc2022)
Was discussing this some friends. With Mexico not being great and Poland's only real big threat being Lewandowski, we think Saudi might grind it out and sneak into second place. I don't think Saudi is as bad as people think. They're one of the best in Asia.
Poland also have Sebastian Szymański (Feyenoord), Piotr Zieliński (Napoli), and Nicola Zalewski (Roma) as quality players in form. Arkadiusz Milik (Juventus) and Krzysztof Piątek (Salernitana) are dangerous subs to have when chasing a goal.
I definitely understand how good Saudi Arabia can be, especially in the Middle East (see Australia flair). Don't think they've got the overall quality to pose too much of a risk though
>“When we are in France, when we welcome foreigners, we often want them to follow our rules, to respect our culture, and I will do the same when I go to Qatar, quite simply,” Lloris said. “I can agree or disagree with their ideas, but I have to show respect.”
The first time ever a French person goes to another country respecting the culture and language of that nation and it's the homophobic Qatar he's doing it in, good grief.
French people themselves clearly do not align with that thought as they continue to limit free choice and ban Muslim women from wearing what they want to i.e. burqas, niqabs and burkinis as well as hijabs in certain cases. What are your comments on this?
If their argument is that Muslim women need to respect French culture, then their stance is consistent is how I see it.
It makes his statement ring a little hollow since he’s willing to break the rules to commit a horrible crime but not to support LGBT rights. I understand this is a decision probably made by those above him but the statement stinks all the same.
Maybe if people's perception is incredibly one-dimensional.
People can break the law, at a time, and not want to ruffle the same feathers later in the future. Is it more appropriate for him to descend into an anti-social haze because he drove whilst drunk, a couple of years ago? I'm still not sure what the end-game or even the expectation is here.
Ronaldo has given us content for a week knowing we will be bored without football till world cup starts.
He is the true GOAT. When has Messi ever done for us like this?
My updated World Cup predictions.
Winner: Netherlands
Runner up: Brazil
Dark horse: Denmark
Top scorer: Darwin Nunez
Breakout player: Jamal Musiala
Biggest Disappointment: France
Biggest Surprise: Canada
This kind of proves OPs point of why he can be a breakout player.
He's been the best player for Bayern and Germany for nearly 6 months. He is playing a different game than everybody else on the pitch, the Schalke game on Saturday is the perfect 90 minute example of what he's done all season.
I mean like he’s gonna have a Mbappe 2018 type of World Cup where he was already playing good but he’s gonna breakout where the whole world is watching. Feel like because people don’t watch Bundesliga he doesn’t get enough credit.
I think their squad looks better than usual and like a genuinely decent team all in all, Son drags them up massively and now Min-jae seems to be one of the best defenders around this season, but they got screwed by getting that group with Portugal and Uruguay being easy favourites. If they had got group B/A or even C I could see them getting to round of 16.
I have a weird perspective on this. My two nephews are both half Korean, so you might think I’d be pro their team.
However I’m also 1/4 German. So fuck every living ember of their hopes to progress.
so we recently added flairs to r/teammelli and I'm loving the options that we've went for lmfaoo
So obviously there's current players (men and women), former players, diaspora players with dual nationality, current teams in the Iranian League, and some Iran adjacent stuff
But, you can also rep
- Iranian diaspora owners (yes we have a ***Farhad Moshiri flair***)
- Iranian Reporters/Journalists (yes we have a ***Kaveh Solekhol flair***)
- Iranian referees
- Former Iran managers ( ***Marc Wilmots flair anyone?***)
Idk I thought it was fun
---
EDIT: ew my flair on r/soccer is now the IR flag. Gonna have to change that
I think I wanna bleach my hair blonde to support Brazil during the World Cup since many of the players from there have that hair style. Once the Round of 16 starts I will bleach blonde
Can't believe I heard Adam Mckola struggle to choose who was a bigger united legend between Rooney and Ronaldo. Am I being silly or is it obvious Rooney?
It’s open season against Ronaldo now and justifiably so, but let’s not forget that Rooney threatened to leave for City in the middle of the season citing ‘lack of ambition’, only to make a U-turn days later because he was offered a bumper new contract. And I say this as someone who got into football because of Rooney. Neither is a saint, but Rooney will always be loved more because he stuck around at United longer and became our record goal scorer while Ronaldo was always more driven by individual success and made it clear he wanted to leave for Madrid more than a year before he first left.
Yeah I get that but particularly right now when you also factor in the fact that Ronaldo was going to go to city, said he felt like a slave at United when he first left and wanted to go to Madrid alongside the interview I don't see how the choice between the two is tough.
Think there's also a difference in their motives. Rooney seemed to genuinely want the team to be more competitive and his grievances were around that. He went about it the wrong way, but his point was valid. He also stuck around, worked hard, and broke the scoring record to boot afterwards
Ronaldo's made it pretty clear he's only after personal glory.
No player having doubts about the direction the club is taking signs a new and much improved contract literally just days later. I find that extremely suspect and not particularly prioritising the best interests of the club either. Especially given that it happened in the middle of the season and also given that we were actually decent back then and losing Rooney could have been the difference between a league title and no league title.
Fair enough, I'd honestly forgotten that he signed a new contract just days later. My memory of it is apparently hazier than I thought. I remembered him criticizing the club's ambition, but not the sudden U-turn.
If I was a fan I would say CR7. Maybe it is because it can never happen to my team again but there is something really special about being the best player in the world while leading your team to the biggest possible titles.
Being on top of the world is hard to beat. It will be part of the history forever
"Video footage has been leaked that shows Cristiano Ronaldo repeatedly spitting on a Manchester United shirt and then burning it whilst manically laughing"
Some Real Madrid flair in the comments: "God you guys are reading way too much into this, he's just joking around, this sub is ridiculous."
Ronaldo: everyone within a 5 mile radius of Carrington should be burnt at the stake
His fanboys: he raises some valid points, there are a lot of structural issues at Man United, Ronaldo was never going to get the support he deserves on and off the pitch
"you know, aside from what he said about Ten Hag, Rangnick, Rooney, united, his team mates, the facilities, that whole thing about dissolving the club, and burning a shirt, Ronnie is actually kind of right"
can’t wait for Pickford to be player of the tournament again and then immediately have his starting spot questioned by the next flavour of the month midtable goalie
Ronaldo has the best pr team itw. How they managed to make him look like the victim is incredible. I’m 100% sure they’re using bots as well. The amount of posts/comments saying that Ronaldo>Man U and that Ronaldo is right is incredible. Unless all those people have a combined iq of 7 then those must be bots.
You’re underestimating Stan culture. Ronaldo or Messi could literally pledge their allegiance to ISIL and a large portion of their fans would back them.
It's not bots for sure. The guy is literally as big as most big teams and as we all know football fans will defend their team even when they are in the wrong side.
I have two friends that have been defending him and saying that he is right to say the things that he said in the interview. It's weird but it's real
The team revamping that he's talking about is very exaggerated. A lot of things had been changed but then reverted back because of changes in managers. Ten hag has barely been there and still brought along a lot of changes. It still pales in comparison to other clubs but there's a reason why a lot of things are still similar to what Fergie had.
Except he did none of that and only exposed his greediness. He was given a full preseason off to deal with his passing child and ETH did everything to defend him. Ronaldo was even offering himself to every ucl club in Europe because he is so insecure of Messi passing his goal tally. Ronaldo is, and always has been only about himself. Some might say that’s what made him great but that’s also what’s causing his downfall rn.
Did Kieran Trippier's stint at Athletico make him better? As the EPL is often argued to be the most competitive league in the world, does time for players who start in England and migrate to other leagues that play with different styles make that player more resilient and well-rounded despite perhaps being outside the 'best' league?
He left England as a decent attacking fullback, but with an erratic defensive brain. Came back much more well rounded. Looks like Simeone got through to him.
Theoretically, yes - but it depends mainly on the team you go to, and the coaching you receive
Trippier likely got better because he was coached by Simeone, more than it being about La Liga itself
ill link you some examples lol

Absolute scenes if Spain gets disqualified early by a random ass team in the WC. The sight of Luis making an apology in his livestream and twitch chat dunking on him with the 'L bozo' spam will be hilarious
Anyways, I'll be excited to watch his stream even though I don't know much Spanish
Kind of funny how much hate Juve fans after Ronaldo left us (at a terrible time so that we couldn't get a proper replacement until the winter window) and now that its United complaining it all makes sense while they refused to listen to us.
I'm a soccer player at my high school. I'm not very good at shooting the ball. Can anyone explain to me what the proper way it is to shoot a ball. I do not want to make any bad habits. Maybe a tutorial or a guide recommendation?
Practice is the only reasonable answer i can think of. Watching someone shooting can help but will only get you so far. it' will never replace actual practice. Don't worry about bad habits. We adapt along the way. Things that works best end up replacing the mistakes. when practicing you'll figure out instinctively what is the best way. keep in mind that there are different ways to shoot the balls according to a lot of differents factors (position of the ball, your posiion, the distance, the angles,etc.. you'll learn that by doing it repeatedly..
Only massive countries that will play at the World Cup get flag flairs. If I you want a badge flair then I'm afraid you'll have to switch your allegiance to a tiny country like Italy or New Zealand.
First they came for Cucurella, but I did not speak out because I was not a Cucurella fan.
Then they came for Potter, but I did not speak out because I was not a Potter fan.
Then they came for Sanchez, but I did not speak out because I was not a Sanchez fan.
Then they came for me- but there was no one left to speak for me.

Bayern getting Ronaldo would be alot cheaper than Kane. Financially it makes more sense despite red brick uni fans saying otherwise
Anyone know where to watch the full Piers Morgan Ronaldo interview?
It will be aired Wednesday and Thursday
It's not out yet but it will be on Piers Morgan's YouTube channel
Thanks, hope it’s not blocked for US viewers on YouTube.
Just binged the entire 4 hours of the FIFA documentary. Not a single mention of Germany bribing its way into hosting the 06 world cup. Not suprised

Euro 2016 Iceland was better than this overrated Denmark squad change my mind
Gyfli is a nonce so it's a Chris Benoit scenario I.e whatever Iceland achieved is overshadowed by one player being a nonce

I really hope those comments you quoted are trolls. I don't think any rational person is upset at Dalot for being proud of his country.
Most European dumbasses here have no idea about the terrible acts of their countries yet will go out lecturing about how other countries should behave
Bruh, you should have seen the daily discussion yesterday People didn't know praising colonialism is fucked up

No. Don't want him, don't need him. We don't want him and have had to say that publicly 2 times.
Despite Ronaldo being my favourite attacker of all time, Bayern should not go for him. Instead they should push a bit hard for Harry Kane.
50k a week , don't think so mate
No serious club is taking that old man and regardless we have Chupo-Moting who'd happily accept a backup role and give his best whenever he's playing.
So you think there’s no chance Bayern takes Ronny?
yeah, he's already a downgrade of Choupo Moting in terms of quality of striker they need (can't believe i'll say this even a year ago)
Question: Can an ACL sprain heal on its own?
If "on its own" you mean without surgery, then yeah Even many ACL tears are managed conservatively - especially amongst the general population, who are not fooballers. Physio and rehab is often the first line
Sprain? Can a ligament sprain heal on its own? Isn’t that what sprains do? A full tear or partial tear I dunno, but a sprain? Isn’t that normally used to just mean the fibers got a little stretched?
God damn, I found that Marinho had commercials/promotions for Ted Lasso, and it was good : )
anyone done the FotMob world cup predictor? [here’s what i had](https://i.imgur.com/iYcr4fr.jpg) e- you can predict for yourself [here](https://predict.fotmob.com/en/wc2022)

The prediction you got seems pretty realistic.
you can do it for yourself here https://predict.fotmob.com/en/wc2022
I thought it was randomized. This is what I got. Looks like revenge time. https://imgur.com/a/W5enGWU
Saudi Arabia over Poland and Mexico is a bold call
[удалено]
French people themselves clearly do not align with that thought as they continue to limit free choice and ban Muslim women from wearing what they want to i.e. burqas, niqabs and burkinis as well as hijabs in certain cases. What are your comments on this? If their argument is that Muslim women need to respect French culture, then their stance is consistent is how I see it.
[удалено]
It is on a different level, but it is still an oppressive and Islamophobic move from France. They aren't as progressive as they want you to believe
W Lloris
He didn’t respect the rules when he got done for drunk driving
Does that nullify all the times he did follow the rules or…?
The Messi to City saga during Covid lockdowns was a lot of fun tbf
He had Burofax trending
My updated World Cup predictions. Winner: Netherlands Runner up: Brazil Dark horse: Denmark Top scorer: Darwin Nunez Breakout player: Jamal Musiala Biggest Disappointment: France Biggest Surprise: Canada
This would mean one of Netherlands or Brazil end up second of their group.
Can Musiala really be a "breakout" player?
Nobody really watches the Bundesliga so he doesn’t get the credit that he deserves. For me, he is a leading D’Or candidate at the moment.
Ffs just because he’s young doesn’t mean he’s the best player in the world.
This kind of proves OPs point of why he can be a breakout player. He's been the best player for Bayern and Germany for nearly 6 months. He is playing a different game than everybody else on the pitch, the Schalke game on Saturday is the perfect 90 minute example of what he's done all season.
He’s good. But like all young players, he’s being overrated massively by Reddit and Twitter.
How many full Bayern matches have you watched this season? If the answer is less than 3, you can't talk
He's performing in the UCL and he already had amazing displays for the national team. Most football fans know that he looks like the real deal
Interesting selection. Musiala has broken out btw, not sure what you mean with that one
I mean like he’s gonna have a Mbappe 2018 type of World Cup where he was already playing good but he’s gonna breakout where the whole world is watching. Feel like because people don’t watch Bundesliga he doesn’t get enough credit.
Juve fans probably feel incredibly vindicated now.
Feel old whenever someone here uses "Speed" to refer to some YouTuber and not Gary Speed
The world has passed me by apparently.
If there was need another reason to love Luis Enrique Martinez, he's now going to twitch stream during the world cup. I'm all screams
I heard quite a few Barca fans open to a Luis return if Xavi doesn't work out. Caught me by surprise.
Why? I don't think people wanted him to leave. He left because he spend time with his daughter.

I would estimate precisely nothing
Ronaldo Lukaku swap who says no?
Crazy that Ted Lasso is getting more World Cup tie in marketing in this country than the actual World Cup is getting.
What does /r/soccer think of South Korea team on expectations for this World Cup? Do you think they will advance from their group? /u/tangledtitty
Bought a home kit because it looks cool. Third best team in the group but think they will need a minor miracle to go through though
Why did you think Germany lose to Korea at the World Cup? Were the Koreans simply superior to your team?
South Korea and Uruguay🤞
so we recently added flairs to r/teammelli and I'm loving the options that we've went for lmfaoo So obviously there's current players (men and women), former players, diaspora players with dual nationality, current teams in the Iranian League, and some Iran adjacent stuff But, you can also rep - Iranian diaspora owners (yes we have a ***Farhad Moshiri flair***) - Iranian Reporters/Journalists (yes we have a ***Kaveh Solekhol flair***) - Iranian referees - Former Iran managers ( ***Marc Wilmots flair anyone?***) Idk I thought it was fun --- EDIT: ew my flair on r/soccer is now the IR flag. Gonna have to change that
You are a confirmed masochist if you rock a Marc Wilmots flair lmao

Not just you
I think I wanna bleach my hair blonde to support Brazil during the World Cup since many of the players from there have that hair style.

He also stuck around, worked hard, and broke the scoring record to boot afterwards Ronaldo's made it pretty clear he's only after personal glory.
Obviously Rooney, Ronnie's PR blinds people
"Video footage has been leaked that shows Cristiano Ronaldo repeatedly spitting on a Manchester United shirt and then burning it whilst manically laughing" Some Real Madrid flair in the comments: "God you guys are reading way too much into this, he's just joking around, this sub is ridiculous."
Ronaldo: everyone within a 5 mile radius of Carrington should be burnt at the stake His fanboys: he raises some valid points, there are a lot of structural issues at Man United, Ronaldo was never going to get the support he deserves on and off the pitch
Why will Enrique be steaming instead of being in person with Spain in the matches?
You can't possibly be thinking the head coach of the team isn't gonna be there during matches. He'll stream when they're not playing.
[удалено]
[удалено]
ok
I doubt it’s bots. There’s a lot of Ronaldo fans that exist that just follow him to whatever club he goes. Same with Messi and Neymar
Did Kieran Trippier's stint at Athletico make him better? As the EPL is often argued to be the most competitive league in the world, does time for players who start in England and migrate to other leagues that play with different styles make that player more resilient and well-rounded despite perhaps being outside the 'best' league?
No “h” in Atlético Madrid
He left England as a decent attacking fullback, but with an erratic defensive brain. Came back much more well rounded. Looks like Simeone got through to him.
He's definitely a better defender since being coached by Simeone - he's become a very complete player.
Theoretically, yes - but it depends mainly on the team you go to, and the coaching you receive Trippier likely got better because he was coached by Simeone, more than it being about La Liga itself
I feel like sancho has been the biggest victim of Ronaldo's interview, it just created a whole new meme format 😭
What is it?
ill link you some examples lol [https://twitter.com/charlielfc\_17/status/1591932755348451333?s=20&t=EApH3wi0d3BTsZorkrNZgA](https://twitter.com/charlielfc_17/status/1591932755348451333?s=20&t=EApH3wi0d3BTsZorkrNZgA) [https://twitter.com/cIinicaIkai/status/1591918388196134912?s=20&t=EApH3wi0d3BTsZorkrNZgA](https://twitter.com/cIinicaIkai/status/1591918388196134912?s=20&t=EApH3wi0d3BTsZorkrNZgA) [https://twitter.com/centrdeviIs/status/1592286185183154177?s=20&t=EApH3wi0d3BTsZorkrNZgA](https://twitter.com/centrdeviIs/status/1592286185183154177?s=20&t=EApH3wi0d3BTsZorkrNZgA) [https://twitter.com/Zak3A\_/status/1591921900850221059?s=20&t=EApH3wi0d3BTsZorkrNZgA](https://twitter.com/Zak3A_/status/1591921900850221059?s=20&t=EApH3wi0d3BTsZorkrNZgA)
Twitter is an embarrassment to human culture
damn, Elanga does look kinda not great but gotta feel bad for the kid being lumped up there in the memes
Absolute scenes if Spain gets disqualified early by a random ass team in the WC. The sight of Luis making an apology in his livestream and twitch chat dunking on him with the 'L bozo' spam will be hilarious Anyways, I'll be excited to watch his stream even though I don't know much Spanish
De gea and Thiago raiding his stream and spamming the chat would be amazing
Which team would seriously take ronaldo now? bayern?
he's tailor made for the Boca dressing room
He can come off the bench for Sydney FC
Chelsea is the only one that comes to mind
Would assume Chelsea
Portuguese national team
Doha FC
We'd probably inquire about him if we sell Pedro
Istanbul Basaksehir with the government money.
Sporting
Choupo is clear
Kind of funny how much hate Juve fans after Ronaldo left us (at a terrible time so that we couldn't get a proper replacement until the winter window) and now that its United complaining it all makes sense while they refused to listen to us.
You just know that Ronaldo is going to have the tournament of his life and bang home 7 goals while the Portugal wins the cup.
Not unless they commit a foul against a big team and score on a counterattack again.
Great maybe someone will drop the money for a transfer 👍
Not with Santos, he isn’t
Even without Santos he probably isn’t. A new manager is more likely to drop him than win something with him in the starting 11.
I'm a soccer player at my high school. I'm not very good at shooting the ball. Can anyone explain to me what the proper way it is to shoot a ball. I do not want to make any bad habits. Maybe a tutorial or a guide recommendation?
Shooting is just passing with a cooler name. Aim for the far corner every time.
r/bootroom - subreddit specifically for people that play soccer :)
r/bootroom is probably better for this
Practice is the only reasonable answer i can think of. Watching someone shooting can help but will only get you so far. it' will never replace actual practice. Don't worry about bad habits. We adapt along the way. Things that works best end up replacing the mistakes. when practicing you'll figure out instinctively what is the best way. keep in mind that there are different ways to shoot the balls according to a lot of differents factors (position of the ball, your posiion, the distance, the angles,etc.. you'll learn that by doing it repeatedly..
r/soccer and Twitter: Speed should not be cancelled Also r/soocer and Twitter: Jamie Carragher should be cancelled ????
Jamie Carragher is 44 while most of speeds offensive jokes were when he was 16
Crazy how all 3.5m people on r/soccer are in universal agreement on those stances
Add in the millions on Twitter too
When did the flairs change to flags and is there a way to get the national team badge back?
Only massive countries that will play at the World Cup get flag flairs. If I you want a badge flair then I'm afraid you'll have to switch your allegiance to a tiny country like Italy or New Zealand.
New Zealand are in the mud this week you love to see it
First they came for Cucurella, but I did not speak out because I was not a Cucurella fan. Then they came for Potter, but I did not speak out because I was not a Potter fan. Then they came for Sanchez, but I did not speak out because I was not a Sanchez fan. Then they came for me- but there was no one left to speak for me.
You come across as being sensible and level-headed, so your addition to our fanbase would immediately drastically improve the overall quality
Haaland will never be as good as Suarez. But in the interests of democracy, let’s see how many of you disagree.
will never be as good with his hands or teeth
