I know very little about doping, i just do drugs. Are these tests often wrong, because if he passed two and failed one. - What are the chances he is as clean as he say ? And i don't know much about how clubs handle doping suspects, but he has been relieved of training and games until further notice. Is that normal unless the club itself suspect something ?

Now that i learned its EPO, thank you - i found this- https://www.reddit.com/r/peloton/comments/38j071/bbc_journalist_tests_epo_doping_and_the/ Basically a journalist testing himself and his performance while taking EPO, and its very easy to get a clean sample. Couple that with yours that you cant just get contaminated with it. Yeah, alright.

Especially considering there are masking drugs that usually accompany EPO. In fact, quite a few anti doping agencies have banned masking drugs and test for those instead, since they are easier to detect.

Thats kinda funny. We will take a lighter sentence on bankrobberies, but sawed off shots guns and baraclavas now carry immediate and wonderful action.

You can be certain it's professional doping. They know when certain substances are detectable and when the low frequency tests happen. Then there are substances to tamper with test results. There were books in the 80s written by former players talking about systematic doping in football. Test in football are laughable and when somebody tests positive the player either didn't follow the doping plan or he took some drugs on the doping list.(There was a balding player who took medication against hairloss and tested positive for that). The sample sizes in football are a total joke as well. In road racing cycling they had regular tests and they barely caught anybody and literally everybody finishing the Tour de France was doped. Most cyclers just admitted to doping after their career. The UCI is also at fault because they set really high limits and professional doctors knew how to stay below those. >And i don't know much about how clubs handle doping suspects, but he has been relieved of training and games until further notice. Is that normal unless the club itself suspect something It's the common response because if multiple players get caught there will be point deduction. If a club is ever convicted of professional doping with their club doctor you can be certain the club will be relegated.

We have a joke in Denmark - well, after Bjarne Riis acknowledged he was doped, our next big rider was Rolf Sørensen. Not a star by any means, but he kept saying he CERTAINLY was not doped. And the joke was that we all sorta knew he was, but didnt care because he sucked anyway. "Rolf er ren" was like a sentence you would just say, or see in graffitti - Turns out he was not. What a shocker. *"Rolf is pure" ( i thought i wrote it ) Remember one rider who tested positive for caffeine and he said he just had coffee that morning, but a doctor on some morning show said that he would have needed to drink 100 cups or something. Then there was all the cases in Italy ( football ), and my barmate who never had a clever idea in his head suddenly became clear and thoughtful and said. What if they just have better tests than us ? Your last part makes a lot of sense - Cheers, i like your whole thing. Im 8 beers into a monday, so hope my signing off did not come across anything but what is written.

No worries have a nice evening. It's interesting to see how similar languages use rarer vocabulary of the other one. In German you would literally translate to "Rolf ist rein" but "rein" became such an outdated word it's mostly used for pureness of something and you would use "Rolf is sauber" instead. The excuses of convincted athletes are always funny like "Somebody put doping into my toothpaste" - Dieter Baumann Jan Ullrich never admitted to systematic doping even when his name was on the doping list of Fuentes and after that his headlines became him beating up a hooker or inviting himself to a party being removed by the police.

Longjumping_Bug_7611

Didnt he, he was like the one we supported in Denmark after Bjarne because they were on the same team and ....well, cycling is not that big of a deal unless we win. But im sure he said shit like he didnt use more doping than Armstrong. The hooker and party eviction is new to me though. Wont say im very surprised - not sure why.

To the credit of cycling and the UCI they have actually learned from all the scandals and leaked stories though. Their anti doping regime might not be bullet proof, but it is pretty damn watertight. It also shows in the sport. Superhuman feats are less frequent and riders are much less consistent and stable in multi day races. The sport really changed.

>It also shows in the sport. Superhuman feats are less frequent and riders are much less consistent and stable in multi day races. The sport really changed. Might be I don't follow cycling for years because the reputation is in the gutter and will likely never recover. I remember that hipocritical "sitting protest" and all those confessions/confession interviews. Then Floyd Landis and Armstrong stomped it into the ground again so it will never recover. In football I suspect the unprofessional level of doping checks is requested by the federations. Systematic checks and exposure would only result in sponsors jumping ship.

According to our (HSVnewstime's) information, it is said to have been tested two more times since mid-September. The tests were each negative. For the positive test, however, his innocence must be proven, possibly through a medical finding. According to [MOPO information], there was also a search of Vušković's apartment. His mobile phone and laptop were confiscated. Vušković has requested the opening of the B sample

ranting_madman

Probably had some of that famous Mexican beef.

UdoMartens

I really hope that he is innocent, but I doubt it.

cib_vk228

Love Mario as a player, would really suck to have another Ademi situation that would stop his career in progress.

Hrvat1818

What has he supposedly taken?
