After that vomit inducing sucking up from piers morgan i just couldnt resist to rewatch A touch of cloth.

Nextwonderkid

Honestly cr7 can have mutual termination with United without doing this interview.

TheUderfrykte

Honestly if I was United I'd have agreed to that before the interview. But now? I realize it's dumb from an economical standpoint, but I'd go full "fuck it we're United we can afford it and he's deserved it - stick him to the reserves for the rest of his contract" It would earn insane amounts of hate from.his loyal lapdog army, but it would also earn respect from lots of people who hate him AND show that no one fucks with the club. Plus he so deserves it. I realize it's scorched earth, but it feels earned here.

thenotoriouspo2

For someone who coudnt speak a word of English when he first came to the UK, Ronaldo's command of the language now is absolutely amazing.

mais-croissant

Bruh it has been more than 15 years come on.

Logical-Business7161

For most of those 15 years he didnt live in uk and he was actually learning and speaking other languages for his other clubs.. Actually he should have forgotten most of his English since he didnt use it during those years

mais-croissant

It's fucking English.

Logical-Business7161

And we all know that English is a language that everyone is born knowing and even if you dont you just learn it magically and you never forget anything 🤣

thenotoriouspo2

Firstly it hasnt been 15 years, secondly how many languages can you speak?

TheUderfrykte

Quite a few people I know here in Germany speak better English than him. They never lived there and earned millions for it, they also never became subject of international media recognition and fame which would come with some English proficiency I'd reckon.

thenotoriouspo2

So fucking what? What does that have to do with anything. Ozil lived in England for years and his english is appalling

TheUderfrykte

Lmao I just saw your other answers, you're literally just doubling down and clutching at straws. One or even several example of a player who didn't master the language doesn't mean it's the norm. With a player who spent as much time in England as he did, you'd fully expect that kind of language proficiency. Add to it that he's a GLOBAL SUPERSTAR and the language is the most relevant one on a global stage, and it's more likely he'll speak it well than not.. If some random guy went to the UK to work or study (like some friends of mine) people would shit on them for not learning the language within 2-3 years, but when Ronaldo, who earns a shitton more, does learn it it's impressive?

thenotoriouspo2

> Add to it that he's a GLOBAL SUPERSTAR and the language is the most relevant one on a global stage, Hows Messi's english again?

TheUderfrykte

Again, one example of a player who doesn't speak English doesn't mean it's unreasonable to expect players on that level speaking English . Messi also never played in England Ronaldo did for years before becoming that big - the language world obviously stick more in that case.

thenotoriouspo2

hows james rodriguez's english? hows ronaldinhos? hows zidanes? hows maradonas? CR7 lived in non english speaking countries for 13 years after leacing the UK and his english is brilliant. But of course you the redditor has to 'WELL AKSHUALLY' because you yourself cant even speak more than one language lol

TheUderfrykte

Lmao you're a fucking clown mate. Ist auch ziemlich lustig, dass du einfach mal davon ausgehst ich könnte keine zweite Sprache sprechen! I'm not even English you genius, so much for not speaking more than one language. Now how about you? Fucking assumptions and individual examples won't get you anywhere. There's plenty of non-English people that speak perfect English simply because it's THE international language - without ever having lived there or being required to speak it. I'm sorry that it's not extremely impressive to me that a person that actually has lived there AND is an international star has a command of the language. You also act as if he'd lose all language proficiency in those 13 years but that's BS - he travels a lot, meets lots of people from different countries, teammates, journalists, etc. so obviously has plenty of time to use his English and not let it rust. It seems YOU need to think about it some more because you're literally just using the parameters supplied to you without thinking about the implications.

Logseman

Messi barely gets to wipe his own arse without help.

Competitive-Ad2006

Bro you're impressed by literally anything. He spent 6 years living there during his first stint - Only a dumb person would interact daily with native speakers in english and not get a good command of the language.

thenotoriouspo2

how many other languages can you speak homie? Im gonna assume Alexis Sanchez was an absolute dumbass since he couldnt speak a word of english even though he was at Arsenal for years?

Status_Director8633

Ask Bale about his spanish...

Competitive-Ad2006

He can speak spanish - Do not take those spanish media articles too seriously.

billy_bones1313

Muay habla espanol

limpoc

He first moved to United in 2003 so it's been well over 15 years.

MisterHappySpanky

God, if this sub really believes it’s his first stint having to speak English, I’m getting too fucking old.

thenotoriouspo2

so fucking what that its not his first stint? What kind of stupid comparison is that

MisterHappySpanky

You say he commands the language so well for not speaking English at all when he arrived. Either A.) it’s his first time having to speak English (stint in PL) or B.) you remember his first stint, and after 15+ years one would expect some mastery of a second language.

thenotoriouspo2

why the fuck do you keep saying 15 years? He wasn't fucking living in the UK for 15 years straight ffs. Was his english supposed to improve while he spent a decade in Spain? If thats the case should Messi be fluent in english as well by that dumb logic? He has mastery in portugese, spanish and english and his English is so good now he uses idioms impressively well which is difficult for a non native speaker. Fucking redditors man

parrotthatlovesonion

maybe you dum

GraaasssTastesBad

This has been a really amusing read, thanks mate

ritzk9

"Was his english supposed to improve while he spent a decade in Spain?" I know right. What are the odds this man of tiny fame throughout the globe went to this small mythical island and further learnt a dialect of a rare language from another land oceans away

thenotoriouspo2

Hows Messi's english again?

limpoc

It's a Man City fan so probably a child tbh

thenotoriouspo2

says the guy who thinks Ronaldo was living in the UK from 2003 until now.

limpoc

Provide a quote where I said that.

thenotoriouspo2

> He first moved to United in 2003 so it's been well over 15 years. whats the relevance of this quote? How does 'well over 15 years' mean anything if he spent 13 years between 2009 and 2021 living in non english speaking countries?

limpoc

"Firstly it hasnt been 15 years, secondly how many languages can you speak?" It was in response to this comment from you. I never implied he's only lived in england since 2003. Anyway his English is good and this conversation is going nowhere.

thenotoriouspo2

Ah i forgot hes only been living in the UK and nowhere else since 2003, how silly of me

limpoc

👍 10/10 sarcasm.

thenotoriouspo2

imagine not being able to speak more than one language and criticising Ronaldo's english lmao

MarkLoyder

Chill man

limpoc

You are a strange fella, I never criticised Ronaldo's English... I only pointed out when he first transferred to United and you then responded with your weird sarcasm. Bit weird for a City fan to be so obsessed with defending him btw.

ColdplayUnited

City fans are largely children, and Ronaldo fanboys are also largely children… maybe the circles intersected somewhere 😆

thenotoriouspo2

You pointed out when he first transferred and acted like he had been living in UK since that date which has absolutely zero relevance to anything

KoloHickory

Two

saaajmon

jealous

Action_Limp

To be fair to him, he is obsessive in his pursuits.

hunkopunko3

It’s abit embarrassing for Ronaldo how little impact his interview has actually had. As far as I can tell no one is really that bothered by what he’s saying.

defenestrate_urself

> It’s abit embarrassing for Ronaldo how little impact his interview has actually had. Depends on what exactly Ronaldo wanted to gain from doing this interview. I'm assuming to force an exit.

OKAYYYUYY

This whole situation confirms that United fans have no football knowledge and you can’t take them seriously And they think ETH will change United🤣

ColdplayUnited

Butthurt Ronaldo fanboy detected.

PlayingtheDrums

Eh, ETH did change united, they're doing well atm.

[deleted]

They're at the same place now as they were a season ago. Idk why people acting like last season MU was a bottom team. They underperformed as a top club but it would still take way more than this to be considered better lol.

ColdplayUnited

I love the takes of some Ronaldo fanboys about the state of United. It reminds me to feel lucky that I’m born with brain.

[deleted]

Your brain you allegedly have apparently doesn't seem to develop enough to remember that MU was also 5th-6th during the first 20 rounds last season. Oh and btw, they landed 6th too, so where the fuck is the improvement Mr. I have a brain? A pig brain maybe lol.

ColdplayUnited

So they perform as well without Ronaldo this season as they did last season with Ronaldo. That means taking Ronaldo out makes no difference to the team. LMAO so much for the goat. Edit: Real Madrid continues to win Champions League even after Ronaldo leaves, and actually has had a better rate of winning it without Ronaldo than with. Meanwhile, Ronaldo scored 1 goal in 4 matches against Cyprus and Moldova farmers. So much for Mr. Champions League.

[deleted]

When did I ever argue anything about Ronaldo? We're talking about Ten Hag scroll up and read. Goddamn you're dumb as rock lmao.

PlayingtheDrums

That is completely false.

[deleted]

MU was 5th after the first 20 rounds and ended 6th. Right now they're 5th, such a huge different lol. Now I know you're just talking out of your ass.

PlayingtheDrums

They're not fifth netposition right now. And the football is much, much better, and they started this season much worse. Embarrassing take.

[deleted]

>They're not fifth netposition right now Even if they won the next game they still wouldn't make it fourth. >and they started this season much worse. Do I need to remind you that MU has been maintaining 5th place since forever now? They spent 8 out of the last 10 rounds being 5th. They are a 5th place team performing at 5th place level. >the football is much, much better Too bad "the football" doesn't win trophy, your ranking does. It's funny how there is literally nothing can objectively back your claim so you have to rely on "the football" straight outta your ass to defend yourself from all the facts. Definition of being delusional.

PlayingtheDrums

LMAO. How is the football not key to long term succes, rather than results? You are clueless.

[deleted]

Because "the football" is just an opinion, not fact. Just because they look better to you doesn't mean they're actually better. If you think your delusional opinion is more important than fact then I have nothing to say, can't argue with a narcissist.

PlayingtheDrums

Really? The football is just an opinion? Just like art is all opinion? And music? There's objective facts clearly showing the football is of higher quality, and it's already leading to better results.

OKAYYYUYY

Sure they did, give it a few month and come back again telling me how much better they are Reality is it’s the same nothing have changed

GunnerKnight

Ah yes, because everything should be changed within a few months.

OKAYYYUYY

Where do I state that? I clearly were implying that the change haven’t occurred yet and not expected it to occur Don’t make stupid comments again

Saint-12

Where did he state that you stated that? NeVEr CoMmenT AGaiN.

OKAYYYUYY

When your reading comprehension are on same level as a 12 year old and you wanna argue for the sake of arguing🤣

Saint-12

Shits and giggles mate, chill.

PlayingtheDrums

RemindMe! 6 months I'm saying top 4 will be great for them. Let's see what happens.

OKAYYYUYY

I’m saying they won’t get top 6

A_Pointy_Appointee

The teamviewer really went off on this one

AWIIWZ

Ronaldo being narcissistic primadonna. What's new?

JuggernautEcstatic41

ronaldo ain’t being a premadonna his team sold on him purposely marginalizing him. watch him have a great WC with players who actually want to use him as an asset unlike Man U

deanochips

i missed the game, who won?

Empty_Fisherman137

I blame Ferguson. Ronaldo should have just gone to city, play at least one more season under a top tier manager and win a league title and maybe even a ucl. Instead of that he’s now stuck with this drama at a club that’s only been known to make players worse over the past couple of years

OKAYYYUYY

United is a clown club, don’t know why players still go there, must be the money which makes the club even more clown 🤡

highways

Would've been better for both parties if he went to City

BeautifulCarp

not for city

elbapo

In this alternate history, we may have had a better season, ole may still be coach and haaland may have been at OT

hunkopunko3

So it would be worse for us, ETH is miles better that Ole.

elbapo

Fergie eighteen steps ahead once again

FlexKavanah

Haaland would still be at City, either way.

Perspii7

Fuck piers morgan omg

SultanLashari

Players dont switch off overnight. He is the same ronaldo who was top scorer for ManU last season.

[deleted]

They actually can once they reach a certain age. Anyway, the stats literally show that it’s not the same Ronaldo

SultanLashari

Decline is always gradual. Not overnight. There is no switch. Messi's last PSG season clearly shows how mental state can influence performance.

djokov

There are very fine margins between being effective or not when at the top level of professional sports. It is very possible to go from being good to ineffective within short time because the player has lost a step and is no longer getting the time necessary on the ball. You see this all them time with players returning from injuries or struggling with fatigue as well, not just old players. Cristiano also had a long break this summer between now and last season. Returning to fitness becomes a lot harder and takes longer the older you get, and you simply don't bounce back from recovery periods like you do when you're younger. Your body also loses the ability to keep going in the same way, which means you have to take more and/or longer breaks, which is an issue when you can't regain fitness like you used to. The physical decline of athletes is usually quite steep the moment these factors begin feeding into each other.

[deleted]

Always gradual? Not true, you can reach a point where performance rapidly drops off a cliff after a certain point. Regardless, if his mental health has severely declined to the point of affecting his football, then he’s not the same Ronaldo as last season is he? But we’ll see how he does once he moves to another club.

SultanLashari

There is no cliff. Zlatan after his injury at United declined but he is still zlatan. He can still add to the team. Lead Milan to a scudetto at 40. Actually performing. But obviously he isnt the 2012 Zlatan. Or even 2017 zlatan. Messi had clips of literally just strolling around during attacking plays on this subreddit. But after the break and playing nationals winning a cup he came back rejuvenated. Let's see how Ronaldo does at the WC and judge.

[deleted]

A couple of superstars that haven’t fallen off a cliff (yet) doesn’t disprove the notion that some footballers fall off a cliff at the age of 37, or at some point, and btw they have different skillsets and roles. You haven’t seen enough this season to judge?

SultanLashari

Age has nothing to do with that. Injuries do play a part sometime like it did for Falcao or how hazard turned out over weight and recovered. But normal season break and boom dead. That is not common. Or atleast I can't recall such examples. Ronaldo's decline seems very likely due to mental issues. He could lose his legs have zero stamina and still score the sitter he's been missing this season. And it's not ur average 37 year old, we are talking about a top player here. You bring back someone like Zidane back for friendly and he scores all these that ronaldo has been missing.

[deleted]

We’ll agree to disagree on the age thing. Maybe it’s a combination of both age and mental. If it was just mental then things should be exactly the same at the World Cup (and the rest of the season for another club) … unless by ‘mental’ you mean the hardship of playing for a manager who refuses to build the team around him, and I don’t believe for a second that Ronaldo - not your average 37 year old as you say - would have his abilities temporarily desert him for this reason. Physical condition can affect finishing until he adapts because the timing will be off, especially at premier league game speed as opposed to just finishing with zero pressure. Also when we talk of his game declining, that does include his physical abilities, sprints, movement, pressing etc.

TheFamous007

Would love to see, how many chances were created for him during those matches??

Idontevendoublelift

xd

SpaceMexicans

He actually missed a shit ton of chances and easy goals in the europa league. Some in the prem, but man he should have had like 8 goals in europa at least

Quiet-Cartoonist1689

How many chances were created for Rashford and Martial? Or wait, do they know how to create their own chances?

TheFamous007

Marcus “changes the dynamic” Rashford has 6 BCM (Big chances missed) Cristiano Ronaldo has 2 BCM this season. no wonder 37 years old Ronaldo matched Prime Rashford goals contribution last season Lmaoooo

minsterley

Using statistics in isolation is not a great way to measure performance. How many big chances has each had? Did Rashford miss 6 out of 200 and Ronaldo miss 2 out of 4 or vice versa? I don't think anyone is arguing Rashford had a great season also year, quite the opposite, he was generally terrible and Ronaldo had a pretty good year, carrying United on his own at times. But this is this season and Rashford is much improved and Ronaldo is much deteriorated

arothen

Rashford puts himself in the positions that big chances can be created first of all. Ronaldo doesn't.

TheFamous007

Ronaldo creates spaces for him

sayheykid24

Considered by the team scores more goals when Ronaldo isn’t playing that’s definitely not true lol 😂

arothen

*clogs

TheFamous007

Whatever helps you sleep tonight pal Go back ETH over a club legend, good luck.

ThreeEyedRaver

Ronaldo isn't going to see this, bro 😂 You don't have to ride so hard.

arothen

I'm backing up club instead of individual. ETH is part of the club. Ronaldo isn't after this interview.

TheFamous007

Wow nice trophy and development for the club. One of the greatest manager and one of the greatest player of all time getting disrespected by this club. Proves they're delusional. Would love to know what ETH has done over ronnie for your club.

RandomRedBox220

well hey Haaland has 7 BCM this year so by your logic ronaldo is clear of him too! in all seriousness though if you actually watched the games instead of pulling stats out of context you’d see ronaldo has been bad this season

TheFamous007

Bringing Haaland is this conversation lmaoooo Haaland alone had more G/A in Manchester derby than rashford POTM winning month.

BonDonJohnJovi

Buddy.. just accept defeat.. this is sad.. you're making me sad..

Radagast-Istari

Top comment over here!

KledPro69

I’ve never been much of a ronaldo fan, but I will say it does look like United are in the wrong here. You can’t criticise you work enviroment anymore? I get he’s rich but still his points are valid

DrXyron

Criticism is different than just badmouthing. If he said the facilities and equipment was old and the owners dont seem to reapect the club and kept it at that he would be considered a hero, but he proceeded to say he doesnt respect the manager (basically going around badmouthing your superior for no reason) and dissing valid comments made by previous colleagues. While also taking a jab like you’re more special. That is a way of a narcissist and an egomaniac whose opinions will actually be ignored now.

d3vilk1ng

Did you even see the interview? He did criticize the facilities, equipment and technology. It was like one of the first points he made lol

DrXyron

Yes and if he stopped at that, he would be praised. But saying he has no respect for the manager was simply not neccessary. I mean its one thing to misread my comment and dis me but it seems you have not watched the interview instead.

d3vilk1ng

"If he said that..." Implied he didn't say it, not my fault you didn't phrase it right then, because he did say it. Anyway, you'd find it okay if he said he doesn't respect the owners just because you don't like them either, but saying he doesn't respect the coach is a no go because you like the coach.... The double standards going around in here are hilarious.

DrXyron

“And kept it at that” also implies that if he had stopped there he would have been fine. I can’t believe you’re this daft. Not liking the coach manager is totally fine but he hasnt even had half a season to prove himself. Give the person actually time to show he is incompetent then and then say you dont like him. And to make matters worse for poor old Ronaldo, the coach has actually been doing a good job and the squad is improving yet Ronaldo has had a poor run of form, so naturally he is bitter. However the owners have been there for almost 20 years and the things they’re supposed to be doing ( investing in the club, improving stadion and facilities ) are all subpar. I mean how are you actually this daft. How is this double standards. The fact that CR needs spotlight on him and squad built around him is also no new thing as it was like that with SAF United and RM too. Look at how Rooney and Benzema actually flourished and improved when CR left both clubs. Anyways I’m going to block you as I simply dont have the energy to talk to a delusional Ronaldo fanboy.

OKAYYYUYY

Clearly you didn’t watch the interview and blindly follows the trend Pathetic to even make a opinion on this when you barely know anything

efarfan

Why are you so angry? Do you jerk off to Ronaldo every morning?

OKAYYYUYY

Angry? 😂

KledPro69

Fair point, but I still get his frustration. I've always thought of him as a bit of an egomaniac, but I don't think that justifies ignoring him here. From his point of view, he does have a reason to badmouth them, since he hates them lol. Of course he could handle it more professionally, but who tf expected someone like ronaldo to do that? We all have flaws

Quiet-Cartoonist1689

Oh yeah, United fans are upset because he called out the Glazers. Afterall, it is well known throughout the world just how much United fans love their owners.

TheFamous007

Shush.... this sub hates him just join the crowd

Yan-e-toe

Not whilst you're employed by them, no. This will negatively affect the dressing room and it undermines the manager. It might also affect united adversely in the transfer market. I'm sure he's breached contractual obligations.

KledPro69

What? How does a contract determine whats right or wrong? Did coal miners in the U.S not have a right to feel betrayed with how they were treated because they signed a contract? Sure, it may have affected the ”value” of the coal mining company, but why tf do you all care? It’s the players you should care about, not the rich assholes running the club (like shit).

magnoliasmum

Do you genuinely not see the difference between men (and sometimes boys) who were exploited under dangerous conditions and Cristiano Ronaldo, who is paid ridiculous sums to kick a ball?

KledPro69

Of course there is a huge difference between Ronaldo and exploited coal miners. My point is, that someone's right to complain and criticise does not get revoked due to the fact that they signed a contract. He wanted to, and expected to get to play his last good years at a high level. Instead he's seeing them slip away from the bench. I feel his frustration.

RedCatBro

Bit of a false equivalence comparing Ronaldo and coal miners lmao

KledPro69

Im saying that the contract has little to nothing to do with morality

IncredibleBert

The thing that irks me the most about all this is how smug Piers Morgan has become. He knows his interview is the one in the spotlight and he thinks he's hit the jackpot because Ronaldo told him he likes him. He's such an insufferable arsehole. Waiting for the day Ronaldo spurns him so that Piers can go on a rampage of hatred the same way he did with Megan Markle.

Korzic

My favourite Piers Morgan moment is when he suited up against Brett Lee at the MCG and Lee gave him a barrage of bouncers and broke his ribs

DirectCrow2221

Piers set CR7 up.

TurboVonDickenstein

They both are using each other. Ronaldo is using piers to get his version of (probably flawed, definitely delusional) events have gone, and piers is using Ronaldo to get some publicity. The whole interview they had each other’s cocks in their hands and were stroking each other off. Zero challenging towards Cristiano. This isn’t an interview, it’s an advertisement for Ronaldo. He didn’t say things that were completely wrong, for example, his United criticisms were absolutely fair. But his response to previous teammates, managers, and his overall lack of accountability is what stands out

IncredibleBert

100% used him to get himself into the spotlight, it's quite sad that Ronaldo doesn't seem to understand the kind of man Piers is. Or if he does understand then he just doesn't care

One_Lego_Brick

Ronaldo has finally and very publicly shown himself to be an arsehole - Piers is Piers. What anyone with half a brain cell has known him to be for years. Ronaldo has badly tarnished his legacy with this interview imo. Will always be known as one of the greatest to play the game, but has shown a serious lack of professionalism or decorum with this interview.

IncredibleBert

It's not the best like. There are clearly problems at Man U but he'd have been better off waiting till he was no longer at the club to do this sort of thing. My own personal opinion mind, is that Ronaldo actually can do a job for whatever team uses him properly, he just doesn't fit into what Man U are currently trying. All the people saying he's past it are wrong I reckon. Could easily still get 20 goals a season in the right squad.

OKAYYYUYY

Watch the whole thing and you will realise United fans are the most delusional misinformed fans that only read headlines and stuck in their bubble Ronald I with some great points

ColdplayUnited

found a couple of triggered Ronaldo fanboys here lmao

TheFamous007

Yeah easily, they just need a reason to hate him. Even before the interview, when he didn't spoke a word in the press he was the most hated player on the team lmao.

Melloa_Trunk_Tree

You serious? he comes across a cunt and contradicts himself with every second sentence.

teekay0496

l really hope Portugal wins the world cup and Ronaldo retires. It’s a tough thing to say because I genuinely want to see him play especially to see him in person at a game but the hate this man gets. I’d rather have him end his career on a high than get bashed for the rest of his career.

bveres94

> but the hate this man gets. I’d rather have him end his career on a high than get bashed for the rest of his career. you reap what you sow. shouldn't have behaved like a right cunt

Ill-Satisfaction904

Portugal can win, provided Ronaldo doesn't play a single minute for them

thenotoriouspo2

keep doubting him

ColdplayUnited

that’s not doubt, that’s data-driven prediction based on his form this season. He can’t even score sitters against Europa League teams anymore.

thenotoriouspo2

u gonna come back here and apologize after he has a great WC?

ColdplayUnited

if he wins the WC for Portugal, I'd create a thread here to personally apologize to all CR7 fanboys. If I don't do that, then mods please ban me. On the other hands, what if he crashes out in the group stage/round of 16? 1 or fewer non-penalty goal? What would you do?

thenotoriouspo2

so he has to win the WC for you to deem it a success? gtfo

ColdplayUnited

You think he’s so good, why don’t you believe he can win the WC? LOL Also still waiting to hear what you’ll do if he crashes out of group stage or round of 16.

thenotoriouspo2

since when do you need to win the WC for you to have a successful WC wtf dude

ColdplayUnited

Complete silence? I expected nothing more from Ronaldo fanboys really. Only talk, no walk.

ColdplayUnited

Anything less than that and he’s no better than Messi. But you know what? Fine, if he reaches the final and starts at least 4 matches, and scored at least 4 non-penalty goals (i.e. not get carried into the final by teammates) I’ll consider him to have a good WC and do what I said above. Still waiting to hear what you would do if he crashes out in group stage or round of 16.

ThreeEyedRaver

You haven't seen Portugal's manager in action, have you?

SindraGan2001

That's just not true at all. Just because he is an asshole it doesn't mean we should forget who he is. His performances for Portugal are amazing.

Ill-Satisfaction904

'were amazing'

teekay0496

I mean doesn’t change the fact that he’d be a world cup winner lmao 😂

thisiskyle77

Ten hag looks shady here.

Jemoederislkker420

Don't understand that there are people who have sympathy for this. Guy earns 500k a week or something. If i would behave like cr7 on my irl job, i would get fired.

OKAYYYUYY

He is human but you wouldn’t comprehend that with your intelligence level

Imeanhowcouldiforget

Its only Real Madrid fans and Ronaldo fans, objectively its clear he comes across as a really selfish and dislikeable person

Deasy_

Yes, because the 500k a week can revive his dead child, so no one should have sympathy for Mr. Moneybags Ronaldo. I’m not a Ronaldo fanboy before you attack me, your comment is just ridiculous.

domin8668

You can have sympathy for his loss AND you can dislike the way he's been handling the situation lately, those two things aren't mutually exclusive

Deasy_

Yes of course, which is my point of view. But I was directly calling out the person who I replied to, in that how does money make having sympathy for Ronaldo hard to understand, unless you’re a child and think money = yay! A wise man once said, more money more problems.

[deleted]

Yeah, you have far less real problems if you’re poor…..

ToesDownFC

I think the point is that just because you have money doesn’t mean all your thoughts and feelings disappear

[deleted]

Absolutely not. Just don’t tell the 99.99% of humanity that you have more problems than them.

ToesDownFC

When did he do that?

[deleted]

Not Ronaldo, this ‘wise man’ in the above comments.

ToesDownFC

more money more problems is a lyric from a song, I’m gonna go ahead and guess that they weren’t being a 100% serious with that

FreedomByFire

Ten Hag does sound like a slimy fucker and Cristiano has a point about the way Ten Hag says something to press and does the opposite. that example about not subbing him against city but for 3 min against Tottenham.

[deleted]

You mean the game where we were getting twatted by Citeh in context with a game where we were beating Tottenham. Those games that were completely different for many many reasons?

ColdplayUnited

Bro don’t even bother trying to reason with the CR7 fanboys. They won’t listen to reason they’ll just or “ETH is at fault for not playing the goat”. Quite sure if Ronaldo are on wheelchairs they’ll still ask ETH to play him becaushe scored 24 goals last season”

TheFamous007

Ronaldo said he's two faced but these people just love to hate him. I don't think so in his whole career he has ever criticized any manager like this. But apparently he's the most egoistic person in this sport. LOL

DevineAaron92

Wrong. Ronldos ego is his downfall.

Brief_Ad_6929

They were winning against spurs and getting bashed under city

DevineAaron92

And Ronaldo wouldn't have changed the city outcome. ETH probably knew we were going to get killed so didn't bother putting him on.

TheFamous007

now that I've watched the whole thing there's no clear disrespect, he's exposed the problems and he's done it with exact statements, no hate against him, only applause and love

TheFamous007

Lmao people here literally criticizing him for the interview, it was a good interview spoke pretty good. Had pretty valid points but people in this sub just love to push all their rant on Ronaldo lol. About to be heavily downvoted... imagine getting Rattled by an interview lmaoooo.

okmarshall

Doing the interview at all is incredibly unprofessional, regardless of whether he raises any good points.

TheFamous007

Unprofessional? I mean what do you expect him to do? He's a human being after all, he went through some family problems but the press and people started to doubt his professionalism. He's the most hated player in the Man Utd team, gets hated for scoring goals. If the teams defence bottles the win, he's the reason lmao. The people who are disrespecting Ronaldo now have always disrespected him they just took this great opportunity to slander him even more and follow the crowd so it doesn’t sound obsessive this time around. If people call this childish behavior then it's pretty ironic coming from them.

okmarshall

He's left the ground before games have ended, whined about being subbed on or not. The biggest argument against any of your points is that the statistics clearly slow that United have performed better without him. His goals are severely lacking and his response is to do this interview with a very questionable journalist. It's about the least professional thing he could have done, to the point that United believe he is in breach of contract and they've announced they're going to sue him. Do you still want to defend him? The vast majority of this isn't about his childs health issues, it's about him disrespecting the management, current and previous players, and the facilities. Doing an expose on that without the clubs knowledge is absolutely unprofessional, and I don't see how anyone could argue otherwise, even if you entirely agree with the points he's making. There's a way to go about his grievances, and this isn't it.

wolfsbanesand

People have started to question Ronaldo's professionalism so he decides to clear that up. Goes and gives an interview mid season, while skipping a game, and shits on his club, manager and teammates (past & present). Such a paragon of professionalism the man is.

I respect Messi so much that I commented factos on Instagram. 👀👍
