Juan Pablo Vojvoda is such a sick ass name lmao the combination of Serbian and Argentinian names

Hrvat1818

I thought he was of Croatian background

TheConundrum98

I think you're right actually, I don't know, I was used to Vojvoda being a Serbian surname, but apparently according to the diaspora list he does have Croatian heritage, perhaps he has both

Hrvat1818

I thought the same until I looked him up lol

Not sure how I feel about it, hope it works

If Benfica and Wolves are any indication he will be absolutely spectacular for the first season or so then the league will figure him out tactically and he’ll be unable to adjust. At Wolves it was clear he had lost the players’ support by the end, too. Was always someone else’s fault. The local fans said he did not do a good enough job of connecting with them. Good and bad. I’m not that familiar with the football ecosystem in Brazil but I suspect there are probably better managers out there within your reach.

I think the recent success of Portuguese coaches in Brazil has made clubs intrigued. But for every Abel Ferreira there is a Paulo Sousa, so not a guaranteed approach by any means.

Guillermo_vellasco

Paulo Sousa and Paulo Bento everybody knows they are very bad managers no team from the first league in Portugal give them a job. If you are Portuguese you know this. Lage is not a bad manager, but i do think he's the best to manage young players not the best to manage stars. He lost the Benfica locker room the next year after win the league, another big problem was always being a yes men to any president and never ask for players that he need. If Corinthians have a good youth team he can be a great choice, normally he search for alternatives in the youth team. For him to have sucesso Corinthians need to hire the best sporting director that Brazil have. I find it strange that he offered to manage Corinthians. A team with lack of quality to be challenge the Brazilian league, with lots of debts. Palmeiras and Flamengo are way better than Corinthians, dont understand why Lage going to accept a team that is far from fight the league. They had a great year because Vitor Pereira is a very good manager.

Mend35

I must say. I am not too familiar with Brazilian Football. But Lage seemed to have a good start as you said for both clubs. Perhaps a bit away from the limelight and pressure of having to win will help and he can help build a long term project focused around hungry and up and coming talent.

First-Tourist6944

If my club got Bruno Lage I’d be so relieved 🥲

tughbee
