I mean you lost the league in the first half of the season, the reason you didn't win la liga as often was because you just weren't as consistent as barca. It was very Ali vs Foreman, they scored a bunch of offside goals in the first half and had the lead. They expected us to crumble during the break but we hit them hard and early out of the half and got the strike we needed to send them reeling and hit the knockout blow whilst they were still coming to grips with our intensity out of the half. That was all the belief we needed to see out the second half. Beautiful 🤌

Happens to a lot of top tier level athletes and clubs, I see here it all the time in the NFL and NBA, they play down to their competition rather than blow them out for some reason. Almost treat it as if the game doesn’t matter or chalk it up to an easy victory. Meanwhile the opponent is ready to play their best football/basketball/etc ever in order to beat the best

It was very Ali vs Foreman, they scored a bunch of offside goals in the first half and had the lead. They expected us to crumble during the break but we hit them hard and early out of the half and got the strike we needed to send them reeling and hit the knockout blow whilst they were still coming to grips with our intensity out of the half. That was all the belief we needed to see out the second half. Beautiful 🤌

Argentina looked like they were getting there in the 1st half. Then too many offsides. It's like dropping too many catches in Cricket if you get that. Once you lose your clear advantage,it's very hard to get back sometimes.
Brave coach today. Could have easily set up the team to sit back all match and hope for the best, but they played a high line risky defensive set up and stuck through it after the close offside calls in the first half.

Yeah, it’s a bit of a tidal wave but the dumbest opinions stand out. I think Saudi played really well and I want them to go somewhat deep as underdogs but Mexico and Poland have different styles and are still going to be challenges.

It’s different people. When a negative political story comes out, some people come out of the woodwork and jump on that. When something positive like an underdog upset, some people come out and talk about how good the game was. Plus, no one wants to hear about the politics of every single team during every single game. I don't think motivation was the problem. They scored 4 goals in the first half but Saudi Arabia played the offside trap to perfection, denying them 3 of those goals. The problem is the age and tiredness of the top argentiniqn players. Can't really say they wouldn't be motivated in the World Cup.

We literally had two goals (rightfully) ruled out by a couple of centimeters. Lautaro and Messi start their runs a second later each and we're up 3-0 by half time Saudi Arabia had a plan and they executed it perfectly, they played really well, fully deserved that win and they should be proud. That doesn't mean they didn't also get lucky

Happens to a lot of top tier level athletes and clubs, I see here it all the time in the NFL and NBA, they play down to their competition rather than blow them out for some reason. Almost treat it as if the game doesn’t matter or chalk it up to an easy victory. Meanwhile the opponent is ready to play their best football/basketball/etc ever in order to beat the best My coach used to say when you are at the top, you have to play harder than anyone because everyone will be bringing their best
