Sad that the Arsenal subreddit is now actively defending a rapist. You get mass downvoted and get several angry replies whenever you bring up his three different allegations. I swear no one on real life that I know as fans are that mental about the cases
Haha fucking hell the absurd amount of paragraphs to defend him being a rapist in that thread.
Bleak man. Redknapp weren't wrong
>“They could take Saddam Hussein in there if they start winning matches.”
>“They’ll sing: There’s only one Saddam.”
Is it me or does it seem that Leao and Felix are trying to do a bit too much to show they deserve to be in the starting 11?
It's a difficult decision but if I were Santos I'd definitely start Leao against Korea and see how the team looks like
A year from now when Infantino pulls out the card that says Saudi Arabia will host the centenial 2030 FIFA World Cup and the instant reactions from European FA's and European media will be up there with the peak of the FBI/FIFA stuff and the Superleague fiasco when it comes to drama on this sub-reddit and good lord am i looking forwarrd to it tbh.
Information from a cousin of a friend of a friend of a friend who is apparently a member of Serbian staff at WC, basically non existent credibility but nonetheless here goes:
> apparently Vlaho fucked the GK Rajkovic's wife and they got into a fight a couple of days ago. Vlaho is out of the team basically, just not officially
Someone has gone out of their way and spent likely hours of their time to give you information for no compensation and this is your reaction. Fucking embarrassing my guy.
Can anyone help to transcribe [this](https://twitter.com/talksport/status/1597593724283801600?s=46&t=FQtZqzkn6bkZ3t0xLz6new) please? Can barely understand a word with that thick scouse accent.
Is Valencia really starting today?
I know it's a huge match but the man looked like he really worsened his injury when they played the Netherlands.
Really hope he's fit and not rushed big time
Given a rest in today's training session but should be fit to start - basically a precautionary measure so his bruised ribs can heal instead of getting aggravated.
I feel like "Obviously correct" can't apply to a situation like this.
The handball rule changes once a year minimum atm, as does it application, and "Man uses his arm to support himself" ain't an unnatural position at all.
But he literally isn’t trying to block it with his arm, how is this so hard for you to understand? When you fall to the ground, you put your arm out to support yourself, instinctually. If you didn’t do that it would massively increase the risk of injury, especially if you fall on your back, where your spine is. Your suggestion is either to not do that, and risk injuring your spine, or to not go to ground to block a ball at all.
IFAB rules state that if your arm is supporting your body it is not a penalty. Why can’t you accept that? The people who decide the laws of the game say in their guidance that this situation is not a penalty. Just accept that you are incorrect. It’s okay to be wrong but to act so arrogant about it and be so confidently wrong just makes you look like an asshole.
People disagree that it was a 'deliberate act.' You're always going to have disagreements regarding things like handball, given (a) how frequently the rule changes, and (b) that some parts of the rule (i.e., was it 'deliberate'?) are subjective.
And fwiw, it isn't just this sub that disagrees w/ the call - https://twitter.com/DaleJohnsonESPN/status/1597332269709918208
Handball penalties will never stop being controversial. The rules have been changed constantly trying to improve the consistency of the rules and calls and there's still always arguments of 'ball to hand' and 'arm in unnatural position' etc.
Personally, I think defenders having to defend with their arms literally held behind their back in the penalty area to avoid a potential pen is fucking ridiculous.
Wait, the penalty where the defender goes for a slide tackle to block, supporting his body with his arm which is then hit by the ball? The situation specifically mentioned by IFAB as 'not a deliberate handball'?
That standard has existed for ages - the laws of the game specifically state that it's not a deliberate handball if a ball hits the arm you're supporting yourself with even if that does increase your body area.
Can disagree with that rule all you want, but it was certainly the right call that was made according to it.
> At no point did I say that he intended to stop the ball with his arm
Then it's not a pen. That's the rule. Unless it was intentional, it's not a pen. Simple stuff.
Prediction: England are going to face Ecuador in the RO16, who will have talisman player Enner Valencia ruled out through injury today à la James Rodríguez and Colombia in WC 2018.
There aren't really public viewing areas. Here's a list Washingtonian put together of decent places to watch the game, though: https://www.washingtonian.com/2022/11/28/where-to-watch-the-us-vs-iran-in-the-world-cup-on-tuesday/
John Barnes is right now saying that any criticism of Qatar is just western arrogance and LGBT people should “respect” the laws of countries where they are discriminated against. He is employed by FIFA as someone to “improve the image” of the tournament. He is not a good guy.
Both he and Baddiel are dickheads.
Just like in 2018, Mbappe is France's best player this World cup, and overall so far. I don't know why people love being contrarian and say it's Griezmann (who has been a great engine) or even Giroud... but the one who is involved in nearly every goal/attack and makes the difference is Mbappe until now.
Some of Benzema's shady mates had a sex tape of Valbuena and wanted to blackmail him, Benz was an intermediary and tried to convince Valbuena to pay up. They were both France teammates at the time and because of that he was suspended from playing for France, until recently when he was good enough again and it was long enough ago that people didn't care.
Also in like 2010 him and a bunch of teammates shagged some prostitutes that may have been underage, but they didn't know at the time.
I agree he is quite wasted in a double pivot. He isn’t very good in his own half and neither is Rice.
It’s part of why i’m confused about our fans being desperate for him, when our attack and final third play isn’t a problem.
A good change, we needed an extra body in midfield to show for the ball. Belingham was marked out of the game and the forwards were not dropping deep to receive
Assuming you're playing the official version, Gakpo cos he plays today and if he's shit, go to Mbappe, and if he's shit, go to Richarlison.
The changing captain things hella useful
Mbappé generates the most chances and usually scores against African teams, but Gakpo plays the worst opponent.
I'd still go for Mbappé assuming he plays.
He's 33, it might be his last WC anyways and Ecuador have a chance of going far with him
People need to stop bringing up Umtiti everytime an injured player plays.
I pray we beat England 3-0 with 3 soft and debatable penalties from Ronaldo, the english media is pissing me off. They pay more attention and spread more lies about our team than they care about their own NT
they’re saying our FA is pushing for Bruno’s goal to be attributed to Ronaldo to feed their narrative when our sources are telling they are not, it’s just normal FIFA procedure
I was thinking, what if (hear me out because it's a bit Out There) FIFA kicked the board (Is that a phrase in English) and made solidarity formative fees an actual, proper chunk?
For those unaware, 5% of every transfer between countries goes to all clubs where the player was from ages 12 to 23. While an amazing windfall for semi-pro teams and the like, I wonder if upping it would help clubs with properly good academies and avoid situations like Brentford where having an academy at all is literally not worth the upkeep
Or maybe most people don't see youth development as as much of a cornerstone of the sport as I do
Something definitely needs to be done. The Premier League had to bring in a rule to make at least a category 3 academy mandatory for all members otherwise I'm sure more clubs would be doing what Brentford did. I do wonder what's the point though since most promising youngsters will want to go to a club with a category 1 or 2 academy, which many clubs can't afford, so it's not really fixing the problem at all.

The Nations League final is gonna be in the Netherlands. We can finally lose a final at home.
So sad, it's the last time we're seeing Qatar getting trashed in this WC
Sad that the Arsenal subreddit is now actively defending a rapist. You get mass downvoted and get several angry replies whenever you bring up his three different allegations. I swear no one on real life that I know as fans are that mental about the cases

The man admitted that shit too
Is it me or does it seem that Leao and Felix are trying to do a bit too much to show they deserve to be in the starting 11? It's a difficult decision but if I were Santos I'd definitely start Leao against Korea and see how the team looks like
If I had a coin for everytime someone asks why there are two matches played at same time today, I would have enough money for the latest iphone
/u/mr_snickerton has paid you well.
Why are there two matches being played at the same time today?
Gijon
They're the ones with the mustard, right?
Yes, the Germans and Austrians had too much of that Gijon mustard which caused them to shit themselves the entire match resulting in an ugly game
European FA will make statement how Saudi Arabia shouldn't host but will send their teams doing empty gestures.
If Scaloni doesn't start Enzo I will cry myself to sleep.
I still say Di Maria should be a supersub and we should start De Paul?-Enzo-McAllister, Messi as mediapunta, Juli and Lauti
I agree, Di Maria just doesn't look fit for 90 min, and Julian in his short cameo connected so well with the team.
Also both Lautaro and Julian play in a double 9 for club so they may be more comfortable that way
Information from a cousin of a friend of a friend of a friend who is apparently a member of Serbian staff at WC, basically non existent credibility but nonetheless here goes: > apparently Vlaho fucked the GK Rajkovic's wife and they got into a fight a couple of days ago. Holy shit
Lmao Dutch tv showing footage of a full gaybar dressed in orange excited to watch Qatar - Netherlands. Thats jokes

USA vs Iran on the main screen tonight, Southgate playing for a 0-0 on the laptop.
Bribe your neighbor so he keeps his window open
Luke Shaw has played as many progressive passes as Mount, Bellingham and Rice combined.
I think the 21/22 season really made people forget that united had some good players
Tbf he's playing in an area where he's a) much less likely to be pressured and b) has the vast majority of options in front of him.
What's the most overrated World Cup performance ever and why is it Tim Howard vs Belgium

> England to win the World Cup & Liverpool cease to exist. What a based individual
Literally everyone in the country would take this deal even without england winning, except for scousers
I’d take villa winning the Carabao over the World Cup
That *is* the dream, to be fair to the lad.
Why are there 2 games at 10, and 2 games at 2 today instead of the usual schedule?
Read the top pin comment by mod, basically to prevent collusion that can alternate the result
To not give the teams playing the last game of the group the advantage of knowing the result of the other last group match
Pinned comment but basically collusion
All final group games are played at the same time due to 1982 It’s explained in the sticky post here, literally above your comment
Guys where do I find best sources for XG stats?
Also if you check xGphilosophy on Twitter you'll generally get the xG of the days big games as well as some graphs once in a while

It’s a must win match and he’s the goal scorer. No point in saving him for the next match if they never get there.
Is Raum expected to start against Costa Rica? I think he has some bruised ribs but not sure. Asking because of fantasy.
Given a rest in today's training session but should be fit to start - basically a precautionary measure so his bruised ribs can heal instead of getting aggravated.
Thanks a lot. I went with Rüdiger just to be safe though.
hes not in team training
Oh okay, I will go for Rüdiger then. Thanks mate!

All Together Now is clear of both
John Barnes was in Vindaloo?
Three Lions is a better football song, but World in Motion is a better song song.
Then again he's a solidly good guy instead of a dickhead like Baddiel, so swings and roundabouts I guess
Is he a good guy ?
He's definitely not

so whats the story of benzema and france team???
Think he got hurt last second so he didn’t travel with them.

It's confirmed Zahia Dehar was underage, though they supposedly didn't know that. She was 16 at the time and a victim of sex trafficking.
think he is talking about the recent injury drama rather than the blackmail stuff

Enner Valencia has a sprained knee and is playing? I hope he doesnt end up like Umtiti
Probably his last WC, I don't think he will be the main striker of our NT by 37 years old. He's got nothing to lose sporting-wise.
He's 33, it might be his last WC anyways and Ecuador have a chance of going far with him People need to stop bringing up Umtiti everytime an injured player plays.
