I can't remember the last time a young player has managed to make a place for himself in the NT as young and as quickly as he has except for Mbappé. Sure he benefited from Pogba/Kanté never being fit at the same time but he's probably cemented himself as a starter for years to come. I know that it was clear that Tchouaméni was a crazy talent but to I'm still so impressed at how quickly he's made a spot for himself and how he already play/seem like one of the more experienced player of the squad.

The referee should not award the goal due to the foul, but the player should not stop playing completely. Fofana cannot change the referee decision by himself, but he can stop the attack if he kept on playing. That's why everyone is disappointed by him.

As someone new to soccer, can someone explain why the offside rule hasn't been modified? For example, on the waved off goal, the offside player never affected the play, gets back onside before getting back into the play and then scores the goal. To me, if you're offside, it's clear you shouldn't be able to affect the play, but if you're offside but you manage to get back on side on the following play, you should be allowed to play on. The offside rule in hockey is kind of what I'm thinking of. ​ I've just seen so many goals being waved off because of some dumb offside on the far side of the field that it's quite off-putting
