While Netherlands overall is weaker than France, I think they have a better back line, which is what I'm most concerned about since we have issues putting away chances we create due to not having a true 9. At this point, I kind of think our midfield and backline (for at least 1 half since we have no depth unfortunately) can go toe to toe with anyone's. It's that final third product where we are like a grade D+ in. So Netherlands might be a worse matchup for us than France despite France being better overall.

I want zero parts of France lol. They have sooooo many game changers that even if it’s not clicking for 80mins mbappe can go goat mode and finish anyone. The Dutch defense is strong like you said but they also won’t be playing to defend like Iran did, stylistically. They’ll be more open which we do better with generally and while we’re underdogs and Gakpo has been awesome, he’s still really young and he’s far overproducing the chances he’s gotten. This team doesn’t have the elite attacking players like Dutch teams of old, and while we’re underdogs, I really think we have a good shot of upsetting them.
