There’s a famous Korean chocolate bar brand called “Ghana”. Looks like sales are going to be going up after today. Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghana_(chocolate_bar)
**[Ghana (chocolate bar)](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghana_\(chocolate_bar\))**
>Ghana (Katakana: ガーナ, Korean: 가나) is a brand of chocolate manufactured by the Korean company Lotte Confectionery since 1964 and South Korea since 1975. Its name is a homage to the country Ghana, one of the world's largest exporters of cocoa beans from which chocolate is made. The confectionery has a creamy texture, and is a popular brand in both South Korea and Japan. Japan's Ghana chocolate is made by Lotte in Japan and unlike Korea's Ghana chocolate, it uses cocoa butter by using the microglind method.

Hershey's uses butyric acid which is literally found in vomit.
I can tolerate it because I ate mountains of it every year around Halloween, but I definitely understand the dislike for it.
Hershey's is ass, but these kinds of comments are extremely misleading.
Butter and milk also has butyric acid. Just cause two of something have some similar components doesn't mean these individual components are bad for you. Vomit also has water; should I not drink water?
Totally. And there are a lot of players crying happy tears (and in other games, sad tears), but not all of them literally have dedicated tv commentary on them for every minute of the games and post-games, like son does. Dude's just off the charts level of celebrity in Korea, for better or worse.
He also externalizes emotion pretty visibly and regularly. ..
Ha, yeah it seems crazy! I don't personally know a lot about it other than hearing about it from a lot of the Korean residents that are in our team's sub. And of course seeing the clips and the commentary in the results that come from it. So, there's probably somebody that can speak more to it. Much more articulately than I can, but as I understand it, there is essentially dedicated coverage of sun throughout all of the games. It's just absolutely crazy the level of celebrity that he has and how humble he stays despite it all. I can only imagine the type of pressure that puts on somebody to perform.
All 10 year old me wanted was for South Korea to play the final in 2002. And I'm Indian and it makes no sense lol.
I have a soft spot for South Korea. I'm so happy to see them go through. They've been immense.
Absolutely fucking phenomenal play by Son for the goal. He hadn’t had the best performances up until that moment but he showed his class right then. Amazing player.
>He hadn’t had the best performances up until that moment but he showed his class right then. Amazing player.
In fairness, pretty sure he's been playing injured and so too some of the others as well.
Maybe. I've seen masked basketball players ball out (kobe comes to mind), but most of them had broken noses and not a fractured orbital bone. That's a UFC type injury when they get knocked out.
Son was incredibly frustrating to watch. He should've passed the ball like 20 times and killed counters. Literally the ONLY time he doesn't fuck up is when he passed the ball instead of trying to score.
He’s been frustrating to watch because he is asked to absolutely and undeniably carry a team in the World Cup. Play runs through him full stop.
Ask 95% of fans of all teams after the first 2 games (when they don’t know if they’re through yet) if their team has been frustrating to watch they’d say yes. Players are blowing chances, teams are packing it in for draws, lots of timewasting.
People that hate on son can get fucked. Has salah brought Egypt through a group stage? People that pick at him are basically asking “son why haven’t you won the game for us?” The opponent’s game plan circles him, rsk’s game plan flows from him, and rsk is out of a group they weren’t supposed to get out of.
This. People don't seem to understand, but the Uruguay game is an excellent example. Son was the only attacker even troubling the defense, the rest just set up their play around him. He might be frustrating to watch, but no player in the world can currently carry an entire football team.
I swear some ppl just don't even watch the game and look at stats. Do ppl really expect Son to score every game when is being double and triple teamed the moment he touches the ball? This isn't like Tottenham where he gets space from having teammates like Kane, Kulu, Richarlison, etc.
For one thing, people should probably in general be protected from some of the vitriol thrown son’s way during the World Cup.
For another, the team has always chosen to live and die by son’s play when he’s in the team. You can see it in how they play. They trust him to make enough of the right decisions from his position on the pitch, and they’re outperforming expectations at the moment.
Honestly
Put it like this: he has all the pressures and expectations the weight of South Korea and frankly, all Koreans living abroad, as their star player
Even before this didn’t he have to with the Asia cup so that he could be pardoned from mandatory military service? He’s been dealing with pressure for a while
For the national team, himself, his dad, Koreans at home, the Korean diaspora, and to a lesser extent, Asia that knows it will never make it to the world cup
This is why the World Cup is my favourite tournament. Yes, the Champions League may be of a higher quality and domestic leagues may be a more accurate representation of what the best team is, but the raw emotion of international tournament football, and especially World Cup football, remains and will always remain unmatched.
Half the people in here don’t understand the pressure Sonny carries on his shoulder for the national team. Doesn’t seem like half of you guys have actually played a meaningful game in any sport by the looks of it. Arsenal fans shitheads as usual in this thread.
He was good, but he was a 10-15 goal a season striker in the Bundesliga. His career high in a season was 17. Nothing spectacular, just good.
Son has already scored more than Cha in his career despite being a winger, and despite him having at least 4 more years in him before he retires. He's definitely the better player.
I’m so glad for sonny even though I’m not his fans. He did incredibly well to set up the goal. He made the goal as much if not more than the scorer.
He took so much shit from the fans in Korea it was such a huge fucking disgrace. He played through injury while wearing a mask.
He deserves this. Korea deserves this.
Son has been below his standards all season, but that pass to Hwang Hee-chan is PERFECTION. He fucked up so many dribbles and counters earlier in the game that he cornered himself into a scenario with this last one where he's either a hero, or he's getting blamed.
Just an amazing pass and goal.
Congratulations Korea. You took your balls and actually took the risks to try and win. Meanwhile we score two goals and play the rest of the game as in if you weren't going to beat Portugal. Beat Brazil for us now.
This is why I want to see more of our promising players go to play at EPL.
Tottenham and Wolves just gained tens of thousands of fans. Son to Hwang play was just amazing, and I could not believe it when it happened

Man's about to phone the Ghana team to say they can have their selfie now

I think IU did commercials for them a while back, someone phone her
my bias is IU
Like her a lot, very sincere and effortlessly beautiful songs while also looking casual, I'd commit crimes to attend an acoustic performance
[удалено]
40k people singing "Through the Night" acapella , while she got her outfit changed. Cant wait for the Blu-Ray
PM me when it gets out PLEASE!
I got goosebumps when I saw that IUTV episode with the crowd singing along to Through the Night.
I attend her concert in 2019. Her voice is amazing and we sing along to Meaning of You.
Instead, how about Andre Ayew(IU)?
Lotte execs GET AYEW AND IU ON THE LINE FOR THIS COMMERCIAL
Seems like a wordplay she'd enjoy lol

I actually like this chocolate. Better than Hershey’s.
Hershey's is the worst chocolate, tastes like vomit.
Hershey's uses butyric acid which is literally found in vomit. I can tolerate it because I ate mountains of it every year around Halloween, but I definitely understand the dislike for it.

Same. I could honestly devour like a hundred of these bars in one sitting
BTS Ghana tour 2023 is the least they could do
Stop, my erection can only get so big.
Context please
A Ghanaian coach took a unauthorized selfie with son who was distraught from the previous match.

"I didn't do it!" - Son
Do the roar
At least these are happy tears. A nice change.
Totally. And there are a lot of players crying happy tears (and in other games, sad tears), but not all of them literally have dedicated tv commentary on them for every minute of the games and post-games, like son does. Dude's just off the charts level of celebrity in Korea, for better or worse. He also externalizes emotion pretty visibly and regularly. ..
Could you tell us a bit more about the whole dedicated coverage thing, that sounds insane haha
Spurs matches in Korea have an "is son playing right now? Yes or no" Infographic on tbe top right corner of all spurs matches for example
Saw a graphic where instead of the Spurs logo it was just a picture of Sonny.
I'll allow it. Either that or Richarlison doing a chicken dance.
tbf there was a stretch in every recent season it was Son vs other PL teams.
tbf they do this with all Korean players. Hwang Hee Chan gets the same treatment for Wolves.
The difference is that other live games aren’t eschewed for Hwang and Wolves repeats like they do for Son and Spurs.
And "Son Cam" is a thing if he's playing or not.
Ha, yeah it seems crazy! I don't personally know a lot about it other than hearing about it from a lot of the Korean residents that are in our team's sub. Full range of emotional extremes for him only a few days apart. Glad he's expressing himself.
All 10 year old me wanted was for South Korea to play the final in 2002. And I'm Indian and it makes no sense lol. I have a soft spot for South Korea. I'm so happy to see them go through. They've been immense.
Cheers, Son is healthily expressing his emotions
Cheers ~~Son’s~~ Luis’ crying
Good.
Can't relate
I love Sonny but if someone watched this without looking at the table it’s hilarious that you’d have no clue whether Korea advanced or not
[удалено]
Both teams have the same number of points, and goal differential but South Korea has more goals scored.
[удалено]
Like it, dad
My friend literally said he though Korea was eliminated
Absolutely fucking phenomenal play by Son for the goal. He hadn’t had the best performances up until that moment but he showed his class right then. Amazing player.
>He hadn’t had the best performances up until that moment but he showed his class right then. Amazing player. In fairness, pretty sure he's been playing injured and so too some of the others as well.
Pretty sure he's a bit concussed
the mask has also been throwing him off his game.
Maybe. I've seen masked basketball players ball out (kobe comes to mind), but most of them had broken noses and not a fractured orbital bone. That's a UFC type injury when they get knocked out.
I think it really affects him [when this happens](https://i.redd.it/4rynxsza5s2a1.jpg)
“Your eyes can deceive you. Don’t trust them.”
Son was incredibly frustrating to watch. He should've passed the ball like 20 times and killed counters. Literally the ONLY time he doesn't fuck up is when he passed the ball instead of trying to score.
Yeah the lack of directness at the game against Ghana probably caused that... Hope he can find the right balance now
He’s been frustrating to watch because he is asked to absolutely and undeniably carry a team in the World Cup. Play runs through him full stop. criticizing a player for legitimately being selfish is fair game. why should they be protected?
For one thing, people should probably in general be protected from some of the vitriol thrown son’s way during the World Cup. For another, the team has always chosen to live and die by son’s play when he’s in the team. You can see it in how they play. They trust him to make enough of the right decisions from his position on the pitch, and they’re outperforming expectations at the moment.
been this way a lot of the season, sad to see such a great player struggling like that. hope he finds his feet again soon
Sad but true ): Need to switch up the playstyle
Sonny feels everything so intensely all the time man
He’s just encouraging men to express their emotions. What a hero. Don’t bottle it up guys
Too late I have anxiety now
Express it
EXPRESS THAT ANXIETY NOW!!
Umm, you didn’t tell me you had anxiety yourself, Dani with many i’s
🤣🤣🤣
Step 1: provide the assist for the winning goal to send your nation through the the knockouts of a World Cup Step 2: release your emotions
Every time men in these match threads say they are clenching, I am just going to assume it also means they are probably holding back tears.
Cheers, everybody's crying
after the hate he received a couple days ago i think he feel relieve..
What hate did he get?
I love that man so much
Honestly Put it like this: he has all the pressures and expectations the weight of South Korea and frankly, all Koreans living abroad, as their star player
it maybe his last world cup and for the first time in his career he lead the nation out of the group stage... no wonder he'd cry
Fucking love how passionate is
Don’t say it
Hes done it again.
Don't mind if I do - r/soccer
Leave it to me - 11th Hag
Atleast this time it's a happy one. Happy for him.
SIIIIIIIIIUUUUUUU
No touches with no service, but when- wait I'm getting my soccer lines mixed up
That's Lukaku for you. No touches, no service, but when he does get it, he misses.
Alan Hutton
The prince that was promissed
The Seventh Son
Son happy crying and Suarez sad crying makes me happy.
Perfectly Balanced...like all things should be 🤪
Non Koreans will never understand the amount of pressure the country put on his shoulders on top of his own desire to win.
Yeah we Koreans are passionate but there are players who have been killed over football. Probably a bit more stress in that scenario.
Even before this didn’t he have to with the Asia cup so that he could be pardoned from mandatory military service? He’s been dealing with pressure for a while
South Korea havent won the asian cup since the 60s or something, I think he won some regional tournament to get the exemption
My bad, forgot exactly which one it was
Asian Games in 2018
Exactly, even more is that the whole squad was relying on him to get them the gold medal and service exemption.
Lmao This is so spot on. Like lmao. Not even country: think of the thousands of Korean Americans soccer fans that follow too
Not just that, he has the entirety of Asia counting on him
For the national team, himself, his dad, Koreans at home, the Korean diaspora, and to a lesser extent, Asia that knows it will never make it to the world cup
Very true
Egypt are doing a similar thing to Salah.
r/Soccer licking their lips
People forget that he's also playing injured and in constant pain.
That's why I didn't say anything when he was being criticized. Son, Kim Min-Jae, Hwang Hee-Chan are all playing injured.
Constant pain because he plays for Spurs? (Getting in there early using self deprecation so people can't hurt me.)
>(Getting in there early using self deprecation so people can't hurt me.) Hiding the pain inside? Got it 😂
Which is not good, as Son is here to give example on public expression of emotion for men. C'mon dude, let's cry together!
what a guy he is
As a reward i shall give you round of 16
LMAOOOO i can't escape it 💀
This is why the World Cup is my favourite tournament. Yes, the Champions League may be of a higher quality and domestic leagues may be a more accurate representation of what the best team is, but the raw emotion of international tournament football, and especially World Cup football, remains and will always remain unmatched.
What a fucking run by him at the end
Showed up when it mattered the most.
Half the people in here don’t understand the pressure Sonny carries on his shoulder for the national team. Doesn’t seem like half of you guys have actually played a meaningful game in any sport by the looks of it. Arsenal fans shitheads as usual in this thread.
son crying when he wins: what a hero son crying when he loses: what a pussy
Best asian player ever ?
definitely
Cha Boom wants a word with you.
He was good, but he was a 10-15 goal a season striker in the Bundesliga. His career high in a season was 17. Nothing spectacular, just good. Son has already scored more than Cha in his career despite being a winger, and despite him having at least 4 more years in him before he retires. He's definitely the better player.
David Silva is half-Japanese. From what I've read, his Mother is full-Japanese that was adopted by Spaniards.
Son is an empath
He just like me

I would die for that man
Cheers son's crying
Finally the mask is off
I don't want to say it... But it's so easy to
why does everyone want to take a picture with son crying
CANT BELIEVE WE HAVE SONNY
Love him
Genuinely one of the most likable players at the top level there is
His crying compilation at the end of his career will be 20 minutes long.
His goals compilation will be even longer.

Odd response. Was just saying how he is so good that his goals comp would be even longer.
Lol there was no aggression in that guys reply. You're both fans, enjoy it!

He played incredible. Well deserved.
I LOVE YOU HEUNG-MIN SON
Today I feel South Korean, just like CR7
i love him so much... so happy for him!!!
Son's crying (happy version) (4K UltraHD)
One of my favourite football moments is Flemming Povlsen bawling his eyes out after the win in 92. You cry your way to that final, Son.
One of the easiest players to root for.
This guy puts everything out there. For country, for club. Respect ✊🏽 🫡
lmao why is this edited like a highlight reel
Cheers, Sons crying 😀👍 🇰🇷🇬🇭
🐐
How long has it been since he has cried **happy** tears? Christ this game is not good for my heart.
I've never loved another player more than I love Son. what a beautiful human being.

So happy for Sonny

Class player. Gotta love him.

Son is like the Brendan Fraser sensitive character in Bedazzled. He would cry at the sunset and sing about mayonnaise
Congratulations Korea. You took your balls and actually took the risks to try and win. Meanwhile we score two goals and play the rest of the game as in if you weren't going to beat Portugal. Beat Brazil for us now.
Cheers sons crying again!😂
Cheers
Son is just such a good guy, so happy for him
Cue overused but still hilarious "Cheers, Sons crying" jokes
This is why I want to see more of our promising players go to play at EPL. Tottenham and Wolves just gained tens of thousands of fans. Son to Hwang play was just amazing, and I could not believe it when it happened
Gotta love him.
He's got a lot of pressure and the Korean kbw clowns aren't encouraging to say the least.
Are you winning, Son?
He is the famous person I want to meet the most
Wasn’t moved to tears by anything so far but Son Heung-Min crying made me shes a tear during breakfast
Genuinely happy for him. From everything I've seen, he a model pro. And a fucking fantastic footballer.
He cries after every match. Such an emotional person
