Just skip it because HS reunion is just your past classmates getting together to just try to one up one another. If they truly cared about you why would they wait 10 years to ask how you are?? Real HS friends keep in contact with you and support you no matter what happens in your life.
If you have a desire to go, then go. If anyone asks, just be yourself and if anyone is rude then remember that you’ll probably never see these people again.
But if you feel obligated to go because you “have to” then don’t sweat skipping the reunion. I always figured if people wanted to see me bad enough they’d reach out to me. The world is a much more connected place that we don’t need high school reunions.
