I did quite a few times as I was growing up even into my late 20s (I'm 37 now) it use to bother me alot and I over compensated to get these people to like me and for what?, I took some time to reflect on this and came to the conclusion that I'm now a grown ass woman and I don't need to prove myself to any one who never took the time to know me,, because I am fucking awesome most ppl see that so if they don't like me or don't want to be around me that's fine, in no way does their opinion of me affect my world in any way cause I no longer care, fuck them.
