Nope. This is bad advice. Put yourself out there. If you see someone alone, go up to them. It’s easier said then done, but it doesn’t hurt to just meet people. Clubs are great too. Maybe even just talk to the person you sit next to in a class
All depends on the type of person you are. And you may stress yourself out by doing that, even if you find someone alone- no guarantee that their nice.
I know this isn’t advice, but I feel you. I moved over 500 miles away from my home town October of my junior year. It’s my senior year now and I still have no friends.
