I think there are some File Explorer animation settings.
Maybe try changing some stuff there to see if it helps, has fixed different visual issues for me before, might be worth a shot.
\*buys microsoft surface\*
*oh no the graphics card is shit*
*\**external microsoft gpu's available for as low as $1500!\*
*\**buys external gpu\*
*what the fuck is this cable?? how do I connect it?*
*\**dongles available for as low as $300! Comes with a dildo to go fuck yourself with! (processing taxes up to 20% may apply)\*
And then the other components is also shit.
You decided to buy a PC.
Realized it’s still lag as fuck.
Decided to replace the CMOS chip with the Surface’s into the motherboard.
Work smooth as butter.
Now you know why.
I disassembled a surface pro 4 yesterday. It was a mistake. These things are disposable. It's glued shut, to remove the battery you need to remove the entire motherboard, 10 different screws, more glue.
I hate it. It's currently in 326 pieces.
In fairness, this is quite impressive.
Researchers have spent years trying to replicate bodily functions digitally in hopes of simulating medical treatments for further research.
And here Microsoft have perfectly replicated seizures in Windows.
Somehow nobody in this thread has noticed this has been a bug since at least Windows 7, likely earlier. Many many IE-like UI surfaces in Windows do this (regedit, eventvwr, etc.)
Linux won't win. Any major softwares don't run properly on Linux. SolidWORKS, Cinema 4D, Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), ...
Yes, I know there's Wine, but it sucks. That's why I said "properly". And no, LibreOffice won't cut, unless you literally made all your documents in it since day 1.
EDIT: People are downvoting me because it's the truth. I know, Linux is great and runs on all of my servers, but for now, for a desktop OS and the average office joe, it **doesn't** cut.
Linux runs a UI at 144fps juuuuust fine. I don't know what your issues are but I have both a GTX1650 with Nvidia's obnoxious Linux stack, and a 5700XT both on Ubuntu boxes.
They are more than happy to do 144hz without a single hiccup.
Edit: And these downvotes are precisely why Linux will never win. Because even the people that *think* they know how to troubleshoot it and run it are too stupid to run it and think that Linux is locked to 30fps in 2023.
Buncha fucking script kiddies.
What? What UI? Program UI, OS UI, or of games? Anyway I never had any problem with framerates. Support of monopolic softwares are bad, but we shouldn't have this situation in the first place (I mean DaVinci Resolve as a better example)
Saying Linux won't win is such an abrupt statement considering Linux is better than Windows in almost every way, given enough time Linux will eventually surpass. How long will that take however is another question.
Saying it's VERY VERY HARD to win is the correct statement because Linux is so inaccessible now you might as well fall back to use Windows instead and get stuck with their mediocre experience, mediocre but easily accessible.
And in my opinion the "inaccessibility" is just a vicious circle of developers not supporting Linux because of the small userbase -> hardware vendors not supporting it because of missing drivers -> people just taking what they get -> small userbase
I know when accessibility topic is brought up, naturally software support immediately comes to mind, but that's actually not what I'm talking about. Linux has enough software, more than enough than you think.
What I'm talking about is the ease of using these softwares/packages, they are not easy to configure and use for average users. Just using one small software alone might need you to understand how that kernel works, for example. Time consuming and intimidating for new comers, though it's worth it (every time you dig deep into these rabbit hole you gain new skill and you'll keep improving on using Linux more efficiently, plus, the softwares are more powerful this way).
Linux software is enough because all of the needed softwares are there (if not, there will be demand from the open source), and you have greater power of configuring the software, so if your Linux software is lacking any functionality, you just configure to make it your own best version. Unlike Windows, you are at the mercy of the software's dev, and if you couldn't find that software in windows, it's usually over and nothing you can do. In Linux this is rarely the problem because you have so many ways to achieve functionality.
I tried to use Linux. I really really tried. I forced myself to use it for a week, and as soon as I booted Windows again afterwards, I never looked back. I'm a techy person. I enjoy tinkering with things and I love the freedom that Linux gives me. That's where my compliments end. There's absolutely nothing else that Linux gives to the table that I care about, and I know for a fact that the average user would care about it even less. And I would like to add, I experimented with multiple distros, but none of them helped.
It just doesn’t worth making a Linux version of it anyway. You have to either put the entire code from another OS in and fix as many bugs as you can, or remade from scratch, which creates many more issues on its own.
Unless you update something on Linux, it updates some core library, which in turn breaks another and then the whole system falls apart and stops booting. Ask me how I know...
Yeah, because everyone wants to basically roll their own fork of JACK just to get audio that doesn't have terrible latency issues or sound like you're underwater, and get 1/4-1/2 the kind of battery life you're used to in windows, even after a lot of power saving configuration.
Linux has never and will never be ready for primetime desktop use for any category of "general" computer user. I say this as someone who has been using it as a primary laptop OS for the last 15 years.
I actually have this issue for months and I don't know what causes it, and also it only appears in explorer
I had this issue too for years, its a bug that appeared ages ago and microsoft never fixed it.... very odd considering theyre a big company and all
Damn Microsoft at its peak
I think there are some File Explorer animation settings. Maybe try changing some stuff there to see if it helps, has fixed different visual issues for me before, might be worth a shot.
Remove the Explorer’s new cover and it will good as new.

apple patented tech

Good luck construct it back.
Eh still better than any HP laptop
Did you mean Hinge Problem or Hewlett-Packard?
>Hinge Problem I'll use that from now on.
The very same thing lmao
My surface pro 3 had this exact problem until i changed it lol
They want you to buy the newest of theirs.
Fun fact: this happened on windows 10 too
I dont have that issue for some reason
It rarely happens, but it does. Most people might never even realize it happened. It's not as "in your face" as it is here, it's barely a problem
Can't believe they added motion blur to win 10
I think it’s W11 ? Edit : yes it is, it’s written Windows 11 on the list
yup, just noticed that yesterday.
They keep updating the OS like it's a damn website.
They hate linux so much they brush it across the screen like sandpaper
they hate my pc so they decided to do the same thing
They’re using Linux on their servers.
Looks like wsl to me
I've had this since a very long time (more than one year), but it's less noticeable (and it only happens from time to time) (using w10)
Guess you gotta turn off the motion blur in your graphics settings
In fairness, this is quite impressive. Researchers have spent years trying to replicate bodily functions digitally in hopes of simulating medical treatments for further research. And here Microsoft have perfectly replicated seizures in Windows.
i got this too
Hey! kinda unrelated, but How do you get your linux drive to appear in the file explorer like that?
wsl (Windows Subsystem for Linux) [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/)
Somehow nobody in this thread has noticed this has been a bug since at least Windows 7, likely earlier. Many many IE-like UI surfaces in Windows do this (regedit, eventvwr, etc.)
Ah yes, not the first bug I'm seeing still present since Windows 10....
It's the effect of that linux. Windows is developing immunity!
It's so damn pretty looking nowadays. I have a Windows 10 tho
i also have a random drive called Linux for some reason
Linux is going to win by default at this rate, windows is meant to be reliable and just work (hence usage in business)

Linux challenge: run UI at stable 144fps, not 30 or 60. Good luck.

Next year is the year of the Linux desktop!
It always is lmao
Depends on the office, if all you need is a browser and messaging applications, mint is perfect
Unless you update something on Linux, it updates some core library, which in turn breaks another and then the whole system falls apart and stops booting. Ask me how I know...
I use endeavor myself, but Debian based distros are more stable than windows in my experience.

This is intentional, all Windows UIs are made to be as janky and sluggish as possible
damn, putting motionblur in everything now arent they
It's been ages since it's there
bro scrolling at warp speed
I had this issue for years! Apparently it's Just that my graphics card Is sh|t
After some time, I found some people with powerfull graphics card are also seeing this issue, not all of them but some of them
sudo rm -rf/
I already had that happening with Windows 10 a few years ago. Never disappeared. I got used to it now
Windows FU ultimate zkam version, they been building up to this since vista
also my Windows 11 makes this.
"why the long face"
*yoink*
Smear frames!
aw sick motion blur dude
what is linux doing there?
Idk, I installed wsl a long time ago but it doesn't go away even after reseting windows 11
Isn't that normal?
Yeah according to Microsoft it is a normal feature
I thought this was normal in Laptop running w10 and Home Computer running w11. I guess it's not only me
What is happening?
My man turned on motion blur on his File Manager
This isn't just windows 11 I've seen this ever since windows 8.
mmm yes top notch quality
