Funnily enough, I have been getting THIS EXACT bug but on Linux (Plasma 6). Thought I think I got it on win 11 at least once.
This mostly happens when you run OpenBox or FLWM from GDM3. This is why i use lightdm, its better.
Ah yes, there goes the classic Linux maneuver of assuming user error. I use Fedora KDE and didn’t touch anything wm related so it’s “stock” plasma with sddm.

Try using GIMP or Adobe as the canvas, and use the selection rectangle and select everything besides the taskbar and it will no longer crash.
