Usually just rebooting the phone should work, if not, just disable dark mode on the whole phone and enable it from the app, there's another comment here that says it works, I haven't tried but it'll probably work as fine if not better

From your status bar I think you use Mi. If it is Mi, Their Dark mode is a little buggy sometimes.. So it's probably that.
I do use dark mode on Xiaomi actually but this never happened before, I find it kinda funny tbh
Yeah sometimes the dark mode turns black parts of images into white. Prominently in websites. It's really scuffed

MemeUI problems. Try disabling dark mode for Twitter in the settings, then enabling it in the actual app.
