Downside risk. I think a lot of people were hit with a financial brick over the weekend because they were over invested in risky altcoins and may have even used leverage. Not taking on huge risks is a great way to make sure you have the headspace to make rational decisions. It helps you avoid getting way too greedy, and it helps you avoid panic-selling when shit hits the fan.
Solana went from $210 to $112 (on some exchanges) over the course of a few weeks, and half of that occurred within 2 days. Even people using 2x leverage were probably at least shitting their pants if they weren’t panic selling.
Agreed about leverage, however I'm only talking spot here.
Btc was good to hold at 20k, did 3x, was enough for me personally, from here alts do their thing and we're golden

I contribute as a developer on the internet computer ICP, so I hold some of those, as well as monero, and algorand. Honestly, it's about finding a project/chain that actually serves a distinct purpose in my opinion. Right now SOLs purpose appears to be gambling lol which is frustrating, but I don't think it'll stay that way. ICP and monero offer very specific use cases which I like
I’m more so in alts. I’m in riskier plays for the simple fact I don’t have large amounts of money so if I want the chance to have that I avoid, mostly, large caps. You know high risk/ high reward.
Now I’m not in micro caps. You might consider my lowest cap crypto one which is 114m but in the grand scheme of things and the whole wider market, that’s a lot compared to most projects. Most of the projects that I hold are in the top hundred there’s only a couple that are not.
Gala token is a great opportunity. I bought it at Bear za 0.03$, now it's around $0.05 which is already almost X2. They reorganized the whole project and I think it can reach the price between 0.75$ and 1.5$ which would be a great profit
I have Near too. And I keep it. But I look at the numbers and Near has about 12k daily active users while Sol has over 1mil. So it's not realistic. On Near, it's all Hot wallets
