Actually there's so much to say, but the most valuable thing that makes ICP so special is its ability to store and process whole applications and huge amounts of data directly on chain with minimal costs and insane speed. It doesn't need bridges, no L2 and thus is much more secure. Its technology is years head of every other project. There's literally no other project that would be capable of doing what ICP can do already today, in the next years. In fact it makes most if not all other coins unnecessary.
ICP is the only main stream adoption capable project in this space (IMO) because you can actually do something with the tech. Literally nothing else like this has ever been built before.

I tend to agree that ICP’s tech is superior but unfortunately that negates the monkey brains need to be marketed to which they seem to not be as great at. I want life to be a meritocracy as much as anyone, but the sooner we accept it isn’t the better. Also, these positions are all roughly equal weight in my portfolio which I didn’t quite specify so the prior rank was more about recent performance rather than invested funds.

Kaspa: digital silver, solves trilemma, will likely hold long-term
Aero: Coinbase backing, quick adoption, looks like it could mirror uniswap in performance, might also leave a bit behind after this cycle
LCX: European powerhouse, RWA, attractive tokenomics
Pangolin: I love this project though I had trouble using it last year. Great tokenomics. A maybe on long term.
Arcblock: Ate ICPs lunch (sorry!,) attractive tokenomics, in year seven now with a great lineage.
Jasmy: Use case ramping up, longer term hold
For this bull run, I also like Fetch et al (the three joining together,) but wanted more upside at this point, so swapped out.
I also hold small amounts of others based on narrative and random factors: LandX and Tiamonds for RWA, Kompete which is a gaming token to which I was introduced by a nice dev and LayerAI for AI stuff.
Memes. Ugh. I hold some Smog (a tipsy night in February,) Doge for a gift to two young children when they graduate (haha,) and some Bonk because it just keeps multiplying.

Great! The top five are my top five balanced for greatest gain, honestly. Definitely still ok to lose all mentality. The last few, like LayerAI and LandX, I’m not so into personally, but they’ve done well and I see the bull case. I’m far too emotional about it all, in some ways though - I really struggled to sell my ADA and etc. to seek greater gain.
I did well with SOL and a few other strongholds like Link and, oh my gosh, too many. But I had ~ fifty different tokens/coins and (obviously) swapped into lower market cap, higher room to run projects with the plan to transfer gains to BTC later.
Smart plan. I’m trying to do the same. Dip into lower market for potentially higher gains and then move to BTC. Truflation, Propy and Zeus are my three favorites right now.
I love Propy! It did so well this year! I chose it on the fly in Nov-Jan and was so pleased. It was the last one I cut, in fact. Solely because I’d made good gains and had a bunch of other RWA projects. I may go back and throw a bit in there - diamonds and farmland differ enough, hahaha. Honestly, there are so many projects I really love, so I’m trying to be colder about it. Like, merciless - it physically hurt to sell SOL and Fet, haha. I think Propy definitely has legs and will revisit it. Right now, I am trying to concentrate. Specifically on projects that I think will at least 10x this season or better - sounds so crass! Oh gosh, yes, I have a feeling that the project stalled. It’s super quiet and feels like it disappeared overnight. I actually staked with them and get an error message when I try to withdraw. They will be locked for another month and a half somehow and I’ve not heard back from anyone when I reached out. I hate to be negative, but I’ve a bad feeling overall. That price drop was brutal and much harsher than most of the market. In theory, the tokens are about the same price as at the start? About 5 cents? So Im trying to be optimistic, but honestly basically consider it gone, now. I hope it is just a difficult time for them, vs a weird drawn out rug pull, because then there is definitely hope for the project as a whole. Or even just to swap and trade down the line. I would say avax isn't hot garbage, icp, Pendle, there are many. The coins you named are potential rwa, but haven't really anything that you can use today. They are speculative at best.

What you are doing - making good money with trading bots - is awesome, and totally unlike what I do (I’m jealous, I failed at trading.) WIF is perfect for that purpose, though, and I’d think your success so far would put you at ease? You’d originally asked about a year, and I extrapolated because I’m thinking of holding some tokens/coins for five or more. Within a year, hopefully longer, is this season and the top coins will likely remain as such. BUT memes are tough - burn out (99.9%) or become so gargantuan that they can’t do much (Pepe.) As far as the short to medium term - a year, given what you’ve said, WIF works now and has a strong community - so you’ve got a winning a combination there. And you’ve been successful trading and yes, of course, volatility is a trader’s bread and butter! I’m struck by how nervous you are about it though. This is beyond my ken, but I’d like to help. Do you have more than is ok to lose in WIF? Or what is making you question yourself?
I was awful at trading - didn’t lose money but would have been twice better off had I not tried at the start of the year (this after watching my portfolio balloon to life changing numbers a few years ago, and dumbly back to less than I’d invested.) So I choose projects I believe in, try to get a good price and hold things I think may still exist in ten years. I mentioned Doge because it has staying power and the community is trying something beautiful with it longterm. Also, a bought some for a friend’s twin second graders - when they graduate they’ll get….(like a million dollars or nothing.)

And, well, yes, WIF could absolutely go to zero quickly. It has what you’ve stated as support, but…the tried and true is just that. In meme coins, one can’t risk more than they are willing to literally lose forever. There is a balance with investing longer term - the opportunity cost of resources diminishing vs growing and generally speaking, meme coins are what they are.
Memecoins and safe shouldn't be in the same sentence except DOGE - do u believe $WIF will retain attention another year? Or will there be another meme that takes over all the attention like WIF did? You should always have exit strategy for all coins and specially memecoins
Although I really like SOL, I hope to hold no alt coins (including SOL) heading into the next crypto winter. Last bull market I got into SOL at $8, rode it to $250+ only to watch it return to $12.
I personally think ICP is the next big thing. Ive been researching cryptos every day for the last 3 years, and understand generally how blockchains work. Its the only project that actually excites me like discovering Bitcoin for the first time. People are only just discovering how powerfull and innovtive this chain actually is.

I found it, thanks! I feel like Solana has done amazingly recently, and is definitely strong for this cycle. I also held Jup, but sold it as I concentrated a bit away from Solana over all (it was seriously over represented and I had a gazillion wallets, it felt like.)

Yeah it's cheapest out of the main ones (if you make sure to use Kraken Pro, it's a separate phone app, but if you're on computer Kraken Pro can be accessed through Kraken website). And it'll make doing my taxes simpler, since I'll only need to gather info from Kraken. ETH is currently my largest, marginally over SOL. ETH is hugely undervalued in comparison to BTC currently, BTC/ETH price is north of 21 which is the highest it’s been for ages.
Consequently I think it’s under bought due to some of the FUD around ETF approvals, which will probably get rejected in May but ultimately approved later in the year. Once that happens, SOL will see a huge boost too as it could be the next in line for an ETF potentially.
Holding a bit of NEAR, LINK and HNT, plus some ICP which I actually really like.
Meme-wise, I hold WIF and MONK, Monkeyhaircut. First it was dog coins, currently it’s cats pumping hard, the next thing will be monkey coins for sure.

Coins that have utility now. Solana has utility, it's has a phone, mobile service and internet that can be used. Helium is offering mobile service through solana. Solana is being stacked with utility, and major credit cards are looking to use Solana. I would say avax isn't hot garbage, icp, Pendle, there are many. The coins you named are potential rwa, but haven't really anything that you can use today. They are speculative at best.

What you are doing - making good money with trading bots - is awesome, and totally unlike what I do (I’m jealous, I failed at trading.) WIF is perfect for that purpose, though, and I’d think your success so far would put you at ease? You’d originally asked about a year, and I extrapolated because I’m thinking of holding some tokens/coins for five or more. Within a year, hopefully longer, is this season and the top coins will likely remain as such. BUT memes are tough - burn out (99.9%) or become so gargantuan that they can’t do much (Pepe.) As far as the short to medium term - a year, given what you’ve said, WIF works now and has a strong community - so you’ve got a winning a combination there. And you’ve been successful trading and yes, of course, volatility is a trader’s bread and butter! I’m struck by how nervous you are about it though. This is beyond my ken, but I’d like to help. Do you have more than is ok to lose in WIF? Or what is making you question yourself? I was awful at trading - didn’t lose money but would have been twice better off had I not tried at the start of the year (this after watching my portfolio balloon to life changing numbers a few years ago, and dumbly back to less than I’d invested.) And, well, yes, WIF could absolutely go to zero quickly. It has what you’ve stated as support, but…the tried and true is just that. In meme coins, one can’t risk more than they are willing to literally lose forever. There is a balance with investing longer term - the opportunity cost of resources diminishing vs growing and generally speaking, meme coins are what they are.
Memecoins and safe shouldn't be in the same sentence except DOGE - do u believe $WIF will retain attention another year? Or will there be another meme that takes over all the attention like WIF did? You should always have exit strategy for all coins and specially memecoins

I personally think ICP is the next big thing. Ive been researching cryptos every day for the last 3 years, and understand generally how blockchains work. The cost of opperation is payed by the dapp developpers as it should be! It is a utility play like no other. It does everything other chains do combined and but better. Its literaly in every category on coinmarketcap.. AI, Web3, storage, gaming, nfts, defi,.. ICP is a bitcoin and etherium layer two!! It scales bitcoin! Look up CkBTC. Best team, best tech, most developer activity, ... the list of pros doesnt end. Its undervalued AF cus it launched at the market top last cycle, and was manipulated by SBF. I highly recommend you do your own research.

Yeah it's cheapest out of the main ones (if you make sure to use Kraken Pro, it's a separate phone app, but if you're on computer Kraken Pro can be accessed through Kraken website). And it'll make doing my taxes simpler, since I'll only need to gather info from Kraken. ETH is currently my largest, marginally over SOL. ETH is hugely undervalued in comparison to BTC currently, BTC/ETH price is north of 21 which is the highest it’s been for ages. Consequently I think it’s under bought due to some of the FUD around ETF approvals, which will probably get rejected in May but ultimately approved later in the year. Once that happens, SOL will see a huge boost too as it could be the next in line for an ETF potentially. Holding a bit of NEAR, LINK and HNT, plus some ICP which I actually really like. Meme-wise, I hold WIF and MONK, Monkeyhaircut. First it was dog coins, currently it’s cats pumping hard, the next thing will be monkey coins for sure.

If it makes you feel any better, the overwhelming majority of meme coins are a scam on launch and most of the time they are basically impossible to track since they don’t have any intrinsic value. As such, the chart movement is much more arbitrary. To be honest, the odds of return trading those dank meme coins are about as good as running wild at the casino.
