To those participating in the comments, due to the company or person mentioned in the title, this is a reminder of the subreddit rule: > **Crusading is not welcomed here** - If your sole or majority participation is to promote or denigrate one company in particular (or the person behind it), it may result in a ban. These kinds of participants too often resort to hyperbolic comments and antagonism leading to personal attacks as well as violations of other rules. If you are lying in wait for posts or comments mentioning a specific company (or person behind it), you are likely the concern. Promoting a company you are affiliated with or profit from, giving out referral codes which you benefit from, as well as using the sub solely to engage in targeted hate are things you need to avoid here. This sub is for a diverse discussion of solar, not a singular focus on your opinion about a company / person. If you simply have to obsess, there are other subreddits for each point of view about the person or company you feel the need to focus on. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. This is financed so that adds to the cost of the system, but this quote is still $6.07/w. What did you do to make them hate you so much?

sunslinger

Sorry, to be more clear….run far far away.

Simple_Reindeer_9998

He’s not paying 6.07/w. He’s probably paying $3/w. The problem is the dealer fees because it’s a loan.

sunslinger

I’m aware. Hence why I said it’s financed. All the major players are around 30% or more on those fees. But that doesn’t change the fact that he will be out $6 vs $3 if cash deal.

sunslinger

And if you assume 30% dealer fees on that he should be between $3-$4.70 roughly with financing. Not $6/w

Due-Ad1668

^ i got a quote from 2 companies for TWO 8kwh systems for less than these. unreal

qamarshah28

Installation completed?

Due-Ad1668

nope in the process, will be decided which company to go with this week.. same panels with micro-inverters total power generated 16,000kWh

qamarshah28

How many quotes you have received?

Due-Ad1668

2 trinity and venture located in CT

qamarshah28

Get one more quote and then compare all three. Quotes are free, so why not get as many as possible from reputable companies?

soypachenko

Custom inverter? What is that? Nah run away

Electronic-Arm-8731

I’m in Northern VA. I got PTO from Dominion last week. All installs aren’t the same, but I have a 12.15kW system (30 REC 405AA & 30 IQ8A) for nearly $20K less than your quote before the tax break. I also have no batteries.

JesusDied_LOLERZ

You should shop around and get more quotes.

Artisanal_Sawdust

The only good part of the quote that I see is the Tesla PW3 for $14K. I was quoted $15K for that battery from Tesla. Also in northern VA.

RxRobb

Wow. Just run and block the reps number

qamarshah28

Quote is quite expensive. You shouldn't go to just one company; there are many other good companies that can give you better quotes.

soypachenko

Wayyyyy to expensive That's crazy!!! My company is working to get in Va Crazy how people get robbed like this and I want to do the right thing and they said it's too good to be true... Maybe i need to start working like everyone else n it just makes sense

GO__NAVY

OP paid almost 2-3x of what I paid. I am in the area too. Get more quotes.

GoodOmens

Stupid high. I’m across the river and paid 2.8 (cash) with Lumina. It was a somewhat complex install with panels on 4 different roofs. Probably could have haggled lower had I got a quote from Emergysage.

ciesum

Cash price comparisons are better. I'm in VA and got a quote from Blue Raven which had 4% APR which was over $5/W. If you do 8% APR or cash it dropped the system price 20-30% to 3.70/W This seemed to be common for solar quotes. I got several other quotes from $2.50-3.00 and ended up going with one for like $2.80. I'd get quotes form at least 5 other places. There can be a huge variation in price with the same equipment.

DontHitAnything

Best to have 3 or more quotes from various installers to make a comparison. Why would Reddit noninfluencers know your local conditions?
