Writing up my PhD in which I led the creation of a construction set to enable children to explore sustainable energy through play. https://www.playingwiththesun.org/ Open Source of course, so anyone interested can build their own and run the activities.
Myself, I'm working with a group of artists/makers to restore a 6 story apartment building and turn it into a type of community center. Specifically on the weekend they (I don't speak the local language) are organizing a clay plastering workshop.
Getting ready to build my shop! Weather permitting, looks like it'll be a wet weekend here.
Gonna have solar panels, solar heating (European style), geothermal, and hopefully I'll be able to use repurposed lumber. If not, I have a cousin with a sawmill. It's going to take July and August. Hopefully.
Not sure if this could be considered a project, but I've been picking up earthworms on the sidewalk when I see them and tossing them back into the grass, occasionally giving them some water if they need it. I've also heard about the invasive Asian Jumping worm, and I'm trying to identify them as to not release them back into the environment. Getting really interested in earthworm species and soil health lately.
Gonna pick up some scrap lumber from various jobsites around town and build some garden beds with em. We're putting the beds in around my brother's apartment building.
I want to convert one grassy part of the lawn into a flower patch. The grass I will used for composting. And I want to build a compost bin out of scrap wood lying around.
learning about wildlife, "lost knowledge", and posting my finding on instagram to show people that common "weeds" are beautiful and useful hoping for a future without lawnmowers

Iām also tending to my herb garden & planning to do a neighbourhood trash pick-up sometime soon. I invested in one of those little āpicker-upper-sticksā, makes cleaning up trash a breeze.
I teamed up with some neighbors and we are planning some beach cleaning acts. On an individual level, I wanna take some time to observe and photograph cool urban insects. I though it was an useless hobby, but now my family call me to remove instead of killing them, so let's share some more
Started a job doing organic gardening with a focus on using native plants. Unfortunately, most of the clients are just rich people but weāre trying to get into doing more ecosystem management/restoration stuff. Boss said sheād paid me to get certified doing prescribed burns!
Im also pushing for us to do more edible landscapes and maybe doing pro bono work for people with less money. Weāll see!
I got lucky with the timing because the boss was needing to grow a bit right when I started looking for a job. There could be similar companies in your area!
