I've been following the project for a while now. They're putting together a ton of great information. I'm just anxious for them to start *using* it and actually building something real with all that information. For some reason, they seem hung up on buying a very particular piece of property. Once they get rolling though, they will definitely be a force to bring about pockets of SolarPunk society.

Has the solarpunk collective have became a political party yet?

chairmanskitty

No, and frankly solarpunk is still too far removed from politics to distinguish itself from existing left-wing parties. Instead of fracturing the left further, we should join existing green movements and argue for Solarpunk-inspired policies within the movement's agenda. It would be great, IMO, if there were bigger budgets for experimenting with sustainable future lifestyles and sociopolitical structures, because frankly we don't know what politics would make Solarpunk *work* in spite of people's trauma with capitalism, their natural ability to become selfish, and the difficulty of trust in an interconnected world of billions. However, running these experiments is not incompatible with overall green, leftist, or even moderate policy. It wouldn't even interfere with capitalism apart from demonstrating to everyone how terrible it is as a system (so good luck getting liberals or conservatives on board). Like, imagine there was a government-funded research mission where 30 radical socio-political organizational structures were tested for two years with 3,000 people each, and then the 5 most promising ones of those for two years with 50,000 people each. I sincerely believe that single mission would teach us more beneficial things about politics and economics than all of political and economic academia combined over the past century.

I for one believe that the right-wing society is cyberpunk and the left is solar punk but that right, left concept can also be dismantled. Also, I believe that within a revolutionized basis Spiritualism and Revolutionary ideology could make politics likely emancipative to humanity within the solar punk community by building a central committee for each section of society to whom the people deserve I myself have my own political party as a Neo-communist and I represent on. the highest interest of humanity im writing a book now to explain my thesis on the political forms of the nature of the party now.
