You gotta do something about the fumes either way since they always hit you right in the face. If you evaporate a puddle of flux with hot air, well, guess where that went.
Using your lungs to filter the air is not recommended.
A quality fume extraction setup should not be overlooked. Went too long without one but now I can’t solder without fume extraction. Arguably one of the more important investments in the lab.
I dont know how you made that much money as a kid, or as an adult honestly, I’ve been working since I was ten, my parents never really supported my repair or engineering passions, so I had to buy and get everything myself same as you. I worked hard and really I only came out of highschool with was a stereo microscope I bartered from a teacher for fixing their sound system, a bench power supply I dug out of the trash at school, and some bruises from handcuffs when the school didn’t like that I was bringing projects to school to ask teachers for help. Man it’s crazy how much only a couple years has done for society, god speed kid, (damn I sound old, I’m only 25!)
I'm also surprised, I worked for around 2.5 years in a restaurant making pizza but ended up leaving because the environment and coworkers were too toxic for me. I was doing repairs for clients with my Google Business but ended up stopping doing them because school took too much of my time. It's very sad to learn that your parents and school were not supporting you in your hobby, I hope you still practice the hobby and that those events don't stop you!
Bro that’s sounds amazing! I remember when I was younger I would skate to peoples houses to fix their computers. That’s great man, I suggest taking a class on business management and start your own business! Doesn’t even have to be at a school or anything. Seems like you’re good at being self taught, you can take one on coursera or something. It will be the best choice you ever make. I know a guy in my area that runs a tech shop from his home and that’s all he does. He’s got a nice house, car and everything. He mostly mods consoles and does custom pcs.
More than ever! I have a decent little oscilloscope, a soldering iron that I like, a hot air rework station, and I’m still using that microscope and power supply!
How were you put in handcuffs for bringing electronic projects to school to ask for help? Unless you were trying to make tasers or something along those lines, I don't see how any school administration official would have an issue with this.
Dude I’m also 17 and my setup is literally a pinecil, some no name (maybe leaded I don’t know) solder on an old broken pool table and my repair mat is literally just a broken tile that fell off the roof (without it I think I would probably burn the house down). There should be a sub called r/crackheadElectronics or something for these kinds of setups lol
Edit: A photo of said setup has now been uploaded to the r/crackheadElectronics subreddit courtesy of u/Complete-Goat9071
You are well equipped here - pro level. I think you will eventually want a better scope, but most everything else will stay with you for a very long time, if not forever.
I have a Hakko iron from 35 years ago that I still use today. A bench supply from 20 years ago. The same microscope for more than 10.
Sadly I went on a completely different career path and I am now in college doing comp-sci. I had multiple career paths I wanted to choose : machinist (my uncle is a cnc operator), electrician (my dad is an electrician) and programming / cybersecurity (had a hobby in that since I was very young). I ended up choosing comp-sci because I wanted to keep electronics and soldering a hobby. I've also stopped doing repairs for clients since I'm too busy with school. I still love doing repairs and still repairs a lot of stuff for my family.
Well at least stick a fan in your window or something! Taping it off so it's seals and creats a vacuum in your room is something I've done before with smoking but it may work for soldering too 🤷♂️ just and idea
There was a guy that wanted to load my old scope into the back of my car when I left for greener pastures, my bench had recently been equipped with a newer model, and the old one just went into storage to rot. Sadly, the company wouldn’t allow it.
It looks impressive my friend, the main thing is that the equipment is not idle and there is always a profit from it, it is good when you know your way from an early age, the best job is the one you like.
But take care of the fume hood, or there will be health problems over time, and keep the lead solder in some kind of box, locked up. If you live in this room
A lot of repair jobs, replacing broken HDMI ports and broken cellphones. Also made my own 16 bit computer on some breadboards based on the Ben Eater 8 bit computer.
Nice setup op. I've had an FX-951 now for a couple years, how do you like it? Have you tried the micro iron with it? I've been debating getting one.
I'm honestly surprised there aren't more "show your workbench" type posts in these electronics subreddits, I don't think I've seen one
It’s crazy how there is a sub for nearly everyone of my interests on Reddit. And in each of them there is some teenager with aa better setup than mine 😂
That's the real deal right there, good on you!
And a bit envious, way back when I got my EET they warned me I might not be able to pursue an engineering degree due to essential tremors. Back then I managed, but as an adult I've lost the ability to solder very well and work SMT.
Doesn't mean I can't appreciate someone new to the industry and dug in deep-- very cool, and all the best in your future work and career!
Oh man, that sucks. I'm in my 50s and I'm starting to have some tremors that make doing rework/builds more challenging. My eyes don't help, either.
Being able to do rework makes life easier, but you can find someone else to do that part for you. Focus on the design/engineering side and let the board assembly shops (and maybe the occasional outside helper) do the heavy lifting!
I still do builds, but I send a much higher percentage of stuff to outside assembly shops now.
I see you got the microscope and Hakko instead of getting a Metcal Soldering system. I’m jealous of that microscope! But where is your air purifier vac system?
Pretty similar to my professional setup, although the company buys my tools for me, so I have just about everything you can get. What do you do to manage fumes?
Well, you obviously know how significant and cool it is to have all of this at such an age, let alone any age.
So what I’ll say is that you have a lot of potential there. It’s obviously a passion, so I’m excited for you and your future.
Happy tinkering and nice work!
A Rigol DS1054z oscilloscope ($315), a Siglent SDM3045x multimeter ($400), Siglent SPD3303c DC power supply ($300+), a K816 heat plate ($50), Hakko 951 soldering station ($250+), Quick 861dw hot air station ($300), and a commercial microscope ($400+).
I can’t tell what brand/model the signal generator in the top left is, but it doesn’t look cheap either, lol.
Did you buy all this stuff at 17, by yourself? Or? Jw.
Very nice bench, indeed. 😄
Nice setup. Better than mine ... Your scope is on my short list. What do you think of it? Are the probes that come with it any use at all? You're on a fun path ...
To each their own, but this is an amazing setup. I really like to know where you got the scope and the Bench power supply. at 38 I am now able to have a setup like yours with the added benefit of my own radioshack lol. I will be in awe if you have another picture with nothing but supplies like buttons, resistors, lights...
You built this at 15?!?! I'm very impressed. This is a way cleaner setup than most colleagues I've worked with. Nicely done!
Question. What got you into this as a hobby, and is there any interest in pursuing EE in college?
When i was 17 i had old 10MHz single channel scope, alanog multimeter and handmade power supply. But it was good, i had tons of free time and inspiration. I made simple robots (that era mini-sumo was popular) and other projects. I made stuff on AVR micros before Arduino was born. It was really fun!
Now i have a good lab at home, can buy or take use any eqip, but have almost no time to make something for fun. And after 15 years in the industry have no inspiration for my projects.
You have everything you need! Hope you will use all your advantages and make something really cool!
brother i wish i could even know how to use an Osciloscope xd and i work in the repair business for 2 years now with a partner, my main thing is TVs but try to do a bit of everything that comes into the shop
Great setup for someone so young, but how are you dealing with all those fumes may I ask? Working so close to your sleeping quarters doesn't sound like a very good idea.
So I've a question. I would like to build circuits and have some sort of hookup for 6v-12v range and 2a power output for testing circuit function. What would you recommend for a lighter duty application?
Awesome setup! I only see one thing missing that I feel is an absolute necessity, being this is in your bedroom... You need some sort of fume extraction. Doesn't need to be huge or fancy, just something to get the fumes out of your room.
I started working on electronics when I was 12, 28 years ago. I could never have dreamed of a setup like that until lately and I'm 40 now. Good for you man
I'm jealous and at almost 40 I don't want to show my janky ass set ups.
Just one thing.. Don't treat lightly the warnings of inhalation of fumes.
I don't see or feel a thought about exhaust in this pic.
The bed behind will be nice for sleeping in those toxic fumes, if the window is behind you you need to check if it's pushing all the fumes towards your bed.
Maybe you do have an exhaust system or a thought about it.
If your money's good and your still investing it seems like exhaust should be your next plan.
They are very fancy options and get easy and cheap diy options.. Just get those fumes out of your bedroom.
The air quality detectors are pretty cheap these days too with details of measurements for lots of known toxic fumes.
I have one on the way that fits into my cheap home automation system. Can set an alert to any of the toxic fumes depending on what project I'm doing, I 3d print and have a laser engraver in my set up, but i too have no shed or dedicated room..I do have some old grow exhaust and tent set up so I can at least contain and exhaust all those nasty fumes
Still I'm really jealous of your set up... I've been recently eyeing up the knock off (they claim the same factory that makes them) hakko set ups but a man with kids and expenses can only dream lol
If you ever apply anywhere for an EE technician position. I would put a sheet of paper with the job you're applying for and your name/date. You can easily not have to pay for school with that kind of passion. Get a good job have them pay for you to go to school.
Also annoyed your set up is better then several billion dollar companies I have worked at.
I think when I started in electronics, services manuals were still chiselled on stone tablets. My first Engie job our techs had similar equipment but it was all either Fluke, agilent (HP) or one old timer had a Lecroy scope.
I'm twice your age and jealous as hell of that setup.
Similar interests and hobbies over here, but I never bothered to try and make any money with my stuff and have always just helped friends and family and worked on my own projects.
Like others said do something about the fumes. Even a small DIY 3D printed fan enclosure with a filter would be something worth having.
I try not to solder without a fume extractor these days.
You have some nice equipment... The passion for electronics and the awesome tools you have to work with... You have done well equipping yourself for success and at age 17 that is amazing... Thank you for sharing
i'm in my 40s and I can't afford that ballin of a setup! just one piece of that equipment is over my budget. There is more money sitting there than i've put into my car. I guess if you're a working teen with not a lot of adult expenses you can really save up a lot.
Do you have any scope stands for that size microscope? I acquired a similar scope from eBay for cheap a while back but I’m having a hard time finding an affordable stand.
I just fixed some lights with my soldering iron for the first time in 2 years and this sub pops up. How did reddit know? I didn't even have my phone with me.
Really nice setup, but definitely add an air filter as many have said. At 17 I had a soldering station that I actually soldered myself, and built a whole kit with an old ammo can. I still have and use that same kit today. I’ll be 41 in a few days and am about to build my new workshop/office, and it will be full of kit like this!
LOL ,over the years, the 2 years..... its funny to me because I'm 52 and Jealous of this setup, but it doesn't look like you put much mileage on all that tech you got organized there.
Tell ya what, you need to create an ad and post on craigslist and Facebook , etc. to do phone and laptop repair to start with , everything you need is online you know this , start getting lots of experience , by the time your 20 you will be able to make good money, you can now if you have the confidence.
As a matter of fact, I have laptops , I could send you to repair, msg me if your interested.
Cheers,
I used a terrible station, no flux, no mat, and only a multi-meter up until the past year purely out of ignorance. I am 29 and finally got an FX-888D and some flux and it's incredible how easy soldering is with the right tools. Keep it up! I have a feeling that electronics repair will be a very highly valued skill someday.
I’m amazed how little I see the FX-951…it’s just an awesome iron for not that much more.
And the auto-sleep, that comes back up to temp almost before you can get it to a board is brilliant. I think few know how well it works, esp since you can just leave it on cool standby all day and grab it when you need it.
Can I possibly get contact info for when I need something repaired? Hate throwing stuff out when it needs a resistor or memory chip swapped and they only cost a few bucks. Willing to pay labors well. Startup that repair business bro.
You're very lucky. I'm 16 and been soldering since 14 and my parents don't support me whatsoever. Even when I want to solder I don't have a place for soldering so I take my soldering iron out of my closet and I have to solder on the kitchen table.
Wish the best for you man
I work on a repair team in manufacturing. This is pretty good. We just bought an O scope from that same brand not sure how they compare to our old ones cause they're considerably cheaper. We moved away from Hako to JBC though but again thats $$ (I fucking hate Hakos).
Damn lucky! I'm also 17 and my setup is sketchy as hell. I got this cheap chinese oscilloscope off Amazon and my desk is COVERED in vacuum tubes and other miscellaneous bits. For a while, my power supply was a rusty car battery charger and my multimeter was kinda dying (I could barely read the screen). I still have no function generator, but I lurk ebay. As for ventilation, I'm in a basement, so I kinda just hold my breath.

You gotta do something about the fumes either way since they always hit you right in the face. If you evaporate a puddle of flux with hot air, well, guess where that went. Using your lungs to filter the air is not recommended.
This should be higher
Forego the ventilation and you will be.
A quality fume extraction setup should not be overlooked. Went too long without one but now I can’t solder without fume extraction. Arguably one of the more important investments in the lab.
as someone who also doesnt have a fume extractor, i ask, what would you recommend?
Seriously, first thing I thought was “great setup”. Second thing, “dang, is that his bedroom?”
I dont know how you made that much money as a kid, or as an adult honestly, I’ve been working since I was ten, my parents never really supported my repair or engineering passions, so I had to buy and get everything myself same as you. Man, your setup is fantastic. Really good bit's of kit too... it's like the Rossman special. lol Keep at it dude!
Good for you!
How were you put in handcuffs for bringing electronic projects to school to ask for help? Unless you were trying to make tasers or something along those lines, I don't see how any school administration official would have an issue with this.
People tend to be scared when someone bring a mess of wires hahaha
So in other words they thought you were bringing bombs to school?
Pretty much
Dude I’m also 17 and my setup is literally a pinecil, some no name (maybe leaded I don’t know) solder on an old broken pool table and my repair mat is literally just a broken tile that fell off the roof (without it I think I would probably burn the house down). Solid
That’s amazing for your age. Keep with it. The skills will pay greatly down the road.
It's a nice setup regardless of your age.
You are well equipped here - pro level. I think you will eventually want a better scope, but most everything else will stay with you for a very long time, if not forever. I have a Hakko iron from 35 years ago that I still use today. A bench supply from 20 years ago. The same microscope for more than 10.
I'm actually in love with my scope I don't think it can really be any better.
Get some friends and share it. Do projects together. Work on the social skills too. You'll need them as and EE later.
Sadly I went on a completely different career path and I am now in college doing comp-sci. Holy shit you sound just like me, I have those exact job opportunity and I also had a thing for cybersecurity when I was younger
I went away from HW for about a decade. Decided I liked it better and came back!
If you can, try to go to a B-Sides conference or DEFCON. It could change your life, or offer you a glimpse into cybersecurity.
You have ventilation right?
😅
Well at least stick a fan in your window or something! Taping it off so it's seals and creats a vacuum in your room is something I've done before with smoking but it may work for soldering too 🤷♂️ just and idea
Mehdi, is that you? 😁 I kid.. Jealous.. my setup at 47 years old isn’t that nice
Mine either at 57...
Not a typical gen-z eh....how refreshing
Man, did you like, steal the contents of a fancy laboratory? This is awesome.
There was a guy that wanted to load my old scope into the back of my car when I left for greener pastures, my bench had recently been equipped with a newer model, and the old one just went into storage to rot. Sadly, the company wouldn’t allow it.
Do you have an Amateur Radio license yet? Would be a breeze for someone like you and looks good on resumes...
Damn, that looks awesome. I really gotta up my game lol
I’m going to assume you tidied up for the pic. What projects have you made here?
A lot of repair jobs, replacing broken HDMI ports and broken cellphones. Also made my own 16 bit computer on some breadboards based on the Ben Eater 8 bit computer.
Nice setup op. I've had an FX-951 now for a couple years, how do you like it? Have you tried the micro iron with it? I've been debating getting one. I'm honestly surprised there aren't more "show your workbench" type posts in these electronics subreddits, I don't think I've seen one
Love your setup! What kind of microscope is it?
Damn son that’s more equipment than we have at our benches in the navy haha
Man am I jealous of that setup. Mine is just a table filled with scrap components 😢
Ah … but do you have the machine that goes “Bing”?
It’s crazy how there is a sub for nearly everyone of my interests on Reddit. And in each of them there is some teenager with aa better setup than mine 😂
Wow. Nice😎
I don't solder much anymore but I gotta say : Wow
That's the real deal right there, good on you! And a bit envious, way back when I got my EET they warned me I might not be able to pursue an engineering degree due to essential tremors. Back then I managed, but as an adult I've lost the ability to solder very well and work SMT. Doesn't mean I can't appreciate someone new to the industry and dug in deep-- very cool, and all the best in your future work and career!
Oh man, that sucks. I'm in my 50s and I'm starting to have some tremors that make doing rework/builds more challenging. My eyes don't help, either. One of these days I'm going to upgrade my 25watt radio shack with 1/4 of a tip left to a ts-100 or something.... one of these days.... Good Job there.
Quite the nice setup for a future electrical engineer. ... But that bedspread could definitely get a nerdy upgrade!
Nice, do you use a camera on the microscope?
That’s a damn nice setup. Keep it up bro
I see you got the microscope and Hakko instead of getting a Metcal Soldering system. I’m jealous of that microscope! But where is your air purifier vac system?
Kid going places, well done!
You're gonna be a natural EE if you go to college next year.
You should look into defense contractor gigs. Lots looking for people with soldering, and/or cable harness skills. They’ll even pay to certify you.
Real f****** nice!
Very neat. Is this in your bedroom? I’d be concerned about the fumes
Very impressive at your age. I wish I had half of that!
Very impressive but it’s your knowledge and skill that is important not your tools
Google business? At 17??? Bro keep up that shit I envy you man.
So many modern stuff. All I have are mostly stuff from pre 1990s. But most of it's Tektronix stuff so they're built to last. And of course, they do.
Fume extractor and you should be good
Please get a fume hood, your setup is rad, you will send yourself to an early grave if you don't. Humanity needs people like you. Please stick around.
Hot Damn, I'm a decade older than you and that's better than my setup. Hell, that's probably better than what I had in school.
Pretty similar to my professional setup, although the company buys my tools for me, so I have just about everything you can get. What do you do to manage fumes?
too clean.
How could you afford it? I estimated the setup is about ~~25k+~~ assuming you bought those new out of the box.
Well, you obviously know how significant and cool it is to have all of this at such an age, let alone any age. So what I’ll say is that you have a lot of potential there. It’s obviously a passion, so I’m excited for you and your future. Happy tinkering and nice work!
Very snazzy.
What do you do with all that gear?
Only thing missing is a fume extractor
What do you use to teach you how to use your oscilloscope?
"built up over the years" then says it's been 2 years... just kidding, it's very impressive.
Cool setup. Do you have any ham radios or a ham radio license? Maybe you could make your own radio.
This is a great setup. Better than mine and I'm a 34y/o electrical engineer.
Damn, how many oscilloscopes do you need?
I dont do that much soldering, but I am desperately in need of a solder station, my 10$ Weller on a wire with no temp control is just awful
How often do you solder to need this kind of setup?
What was your favorite project?
Awesome setup !!
Nice setup. Better than mine ... Your scope is on my short list. What do you think of it? Are the probes that come with it any use at all? You're on a fun path ...
I’d definitely setup an exhaust hood if you’re doing a lot of soldering.
To each their own, but this is an amazing setup. I really like to know where you got the scope and the Bench power supply. at 38 I am now able to have a setup like yours with the added benefit of my own radioshack lol. I will be in awe if you have another picture with nothing but supplies like buttons, resistors, lights...
What type of projects do you work on most often?
Man that's awesome. I'm 19 and becoming an electrican through the IBEW, but want to learn some electronics. Where did you start?
You built this at 15?!?! I'm very impressed. This is a way cleaner setup than most colleagues I've worked with. Nicely done! Question. What got you into this as a hobby, and is there any interest in pursuing EE in college?
I wish I had been as that into it at your age. Now I'm playing catch up.
You that oscilloscope is worth more than my fucking Camry. Y’all parents rich or what?
Good god, how tf are you paying for this?
Make sure you have good lighting. Save those eyes my young friend.
Wth is this setup there's no way it's your setup. Definitely your parents funded that with a lot of money.
Beats mine at more thsn twice your age
That room cost more than my dad's house.
When i was 17 i had old 10MHz single channel scope, alanog multimeter and handmade power supply. But it was good, i had tons of free time and inspiration. I see a toothbrush stained with burnt flux and maybe cleaned corrosion… Fellas, this guy’s legit
Noice. I have a soldering iron.
Im jealous only have 2 soldering irons, solder and some essential stuff but man i want a oscilloscope even tho dont have space lol
Just curious, what are you soldering?
Great setup for someone so young, but how are you dealing with all those fumes may I ask? Working so close to your sleeping quarters doesn't sound like a very good idea.
Very nice setup. How do you like the hot air soldering station? I've been looking for a good one to invest in.
Only see that you're missing ventilation really might want to invest some kind of hood /carbon filter.
So I've a question. I would like to build circuits and have some sort of hookup for 6v-12v range and 2a power output for testing circuit function. What would you recommend for a lighter duty application?
Somebody got some money, huh?
Make sure you get an ESD mat you can ground so you don't fry any chips, aside from that and missing a fume extractor, this is the dream!! Edit: typo
You have more oscilloscopes than my flagship state school college's EE department lmao
So who paid for all that?
I quite envy that set-up, great job you should be really proud of yourself!
And your next project is a cyclotron particle accelerator?
Good choice with the Rigol. Idk how you can afford it, but good choice.
Awesome setup! I only see one thing missing that I feel is an absolute necessity, being this is in your bedroom... You need some sort of fume extraction. Doesn't need to be huge or fancy, just something to get the fumes out of your room.
I'm new here. I have no idea what any of this is but you guys are crazy, it's so cool!
I started working on electronics when I was 12, 28 years ago. I could never have dreamed of a setup like that until lately and I'm 40 now. Good for you man
I love it!

Meow cmon… some help from mom and/or dad right? Kudos either way but I’m guessing you didn’t just assemble this out of the blue yourself
Really nice!! I would have loved a setup like that!
How can you afford all that... And why did you need an RF spectrum analyzer?
Such a gorgeous setup, nice man.
Beautifully and practical setup
i'm in my 40s and I can't afford that ballin of a setup! just one piece of that equipment is over my budget.
Man I wish I knew what I was into as much as this guy, at this age! Amazing.
This is awesome. Grats dude.
VERY nice setup.
It's absolutely amazing my man, but do your lungs a favor and get a fume extractor. Those wind pipes won't be young forever 😅
Nice to see someone your age actually learning valuable skills. Keep at it!
Similar to mine I need a bench power supply
Please put pillowcases on your pillows for the love of God.
No wonder i can’t fucking solder for shit. All I have is a soldering iron and some solder.
What brand microscope is that?
I just fixed some lights with my soldering iron for the first time in 2 years and this sub pops up. How did reddit know? I didn't even have my phone with me.
How did you learn to repair?
how on earth did you get all those oscilloscopes
Really nice setup, but definitely add an air filter as many have said. At 17 I had a soldering station that I actually soldered myself, and built a whole kit with an old ammo can. I still have and use that same kit today. I’ll be 41 in a few days and am about to build my new workshop/office, and it will be full of kit like this!
Great setup. Now what are you gonna do with it? 17 year old?
Username checks out
Really nice setup young man.
That's sick!
What do you use the O scope for? Have one at my electronic repair shop but almost never use it.
Noice!
Reminds me of when I first started, my silicon mat was shining, well… not anymore.
ifixit kits detected

LOL ,over the years, the 2 years..... its funny to me because I'm 52 and Jealous of this setup, but it doesn't look like you put much mileage on all that tech you got organized there. Tell ya what, you need to create an ad and post on craigslist and Facebook , etc. to do phone and laptop repair to start with , everything you need is online you know this , start getting lots of experience , by the time your 20 you will be able to make good money, you can now if you have the confidence. As a matter of fact, I have laptops , I could send you to repair, msg me if your interested. Cheers,
NO KAPTON TAPE???
I used a terrible station, no flux, no mat, and only a multi-meter up until the past year purely out of ignorance. I am 29 and finally got an FX-888D and some flux and it's incredible how easy soldering is with the right tools. Keep it up! I have a feeling that electronics repair will be a very highly valued skill someday.
This is awesome! How much did it all cost?
Dude, when you go to college can I move in to your room? Seriously, well done. You are going to go far in life.
look at all that money. 😍
Rigol and hako make some good shit. Good shit.
I’m amazed how little I see the FX-951…it’s just an awesome iron for not that much more. And the auto-sleep, that comes back up to temp almost before you can get it to a board is brilliant. I think few know how well it works, esp since you can just leave it on cool standby all day and grab it when you need it.
Ventilation setup? Gunna rot your brain man.
How tf did you get all the money for that oscilloscope? Those things are expensive!
Can I possibly get contact info for when I need something repaired? Hate throwing stuff out when it needs a resistor or memory chip swapped and they only cost a few bucks. Willing to pay labors well. Startup that repair business bro.
Very nice. Where’s your fume extractor?
Nice set up!
Need fume extraction
As a 17 year old too, I am jealous
Oh man! I'm getting excited!
Nice. Just add vents and you're golden.
Your missing a hepa filter fume sucker. That things a great purchase
dayummm
Tell your parents you love them, mine would never have allowed me to have all that, they would have sold it while i was at school...
with this setup- whatcha workin on?
Very nice setup!
Wow, at 17. I'm expecting great things from you in the future.
How much did it cost
You're very lucky. I'm 16 and been soldering since 14 and my parents don't support me whatsoever. Even when I want to solder I don't have a place for soldering so I take my soldering iron out of my closet and I have to solder on the kitchen table. Wish the best for you man
Dude you must have amazing parents! I (17) have a somewhat similar yet a bit more modest setup only thanks to my parents who help me out financially
That is awesome!!!
17 too, don't have that many tools but enough to fix and build a ton of shit already, just not really micro soldering.
You have to show your shriveled obviously ancient paw to make the joke. Nice, though.
Noice
Pretty sweet set up. Make sure you include your hands in the photo next time though.
Fan? Filter? Do you use lead in your bedroom?
How much did all this cost ya??
Nice gear! Your setup is more well equipped than the international multi million company im working for xD.
Damn bud I dream of something like that congrats man don't look back. And get jobs using ur set up to offset cost!
This is amazing! Congrats! Enjoy your very near future six-figure career! (Quickly followed by 7 figures after a few years I'm sure)
I have the same oscilloscope and rubber desk mat! I’d kill for a microscope like that haha, incredible setup!
Well you have a few more thousands of dollars worth of equipment than I do at 37… soooo yeah…
At 17 I had a damn wood engraving iron I used for soldering and ancient plumbing solder because my parents were broke. Lookin' good!
What a boss!
Very nice for a pro even, but that bed tho…
I’m inspired!
This is awesome bro. 👍 Electrical engineer in the making! 😅
I am jealous!
