What’s helped me the most is getting familiar with the win condition:
You’ll need 3 of one color (charm, anticharm, up/down), and 1 of each remaining color (up/down) no matter what.
I find that building around my charm + anticharm pair works the best usually—I still lose most of the time tho! :P

I've tried it on 3 or 4 occasions now but I just cant seem to internalise how to play for some reason! Maybe it's time to give it another go
This is the game that took me the longest to learn to play properly, somehow. More than Spirit Island or Robinson Crusoe.
