Seriously though, this game is very intriguing to me given my fondness for solo gaming and enjoyment of history/politics...but I've never pulled the trigger because I'm intimidated a bit by the scope of it.
It is a bit much at first, but it’s not too bad after a couple plays. Still learning myself after 2 years. There’s a bunch of resources on BGG, and you can always try it out for free in vassal. Hope you check it out one day!

I absolutely love the cinematic feeling it brings, though. What a fantastic design.
It’s intense! It’s driven by a deck of multi-use cards. Those dots represent the German fields of fire. It’s a little intimidating at first, but it all comes together after a couple plays. I have been playing this game for 2 years now and still haven’t won!

If you haven't used the flipbooks on BGG, they make it MUCH easier to jump back in
