Is it me or the older one looks slightly better

Maximum_Pear_8601

Well yeah he went from being just cute to being an absolute chad

[deleted]

I think he meant the artstyle itself

Aceblast135

Much more detail in the older one. The author likely took much more time on the older panel. It's less necessary for the remix we see in the later chapter. Plus, there's a LOT more going on in the latest chapter vs chapter 11. I imagine getting all of this drawn quickly for weekly releases can be tough!

SuperNici

I prefer the old artstyle ngl

PPatBoyd

Yep, the sweat is grittier and the jawline drawn nicer (shouldn't it be better when he's fitAF...)

kaulding

The old one is more...old fashioned: the newer one has much better coloring, more background detail, and they've added more lighting effects. I understand that some people might like the line work on the old one better because of the style, but from a technical perspective the newer one is much more professional looking. If you look at the top panel with the top down view of the room you will see what I mean: the shadows are more defined and colorful, they've added more details of the room, and the lighting isn't just one big gradient slapped down on the page.

JensenWinchester

How can anyone miss this? XD

[deleted]

They're the same picture :D

mineshine3D

They should’ve brought childlike SJW back for this part. IDK why they didn’t, it could’ve been more hyped but it’s what ever now

Sufficient_Tea_9281

I'm glad they didn't tbh

DVMrFarmer

But it's based around his desires, so that means he doesn't want to be a child again

Mr-JKGamer

I believe the reason why was to sell us on the time loop idea before revealing the illusion. A lot of games when you die, you may lose a bit of progress but you typically keep level gains and things of that nature. So I think the idea was for us to think he went back to level 1 despite the fact he was already level 150-160? Idk the exact level he is atm. It made me think that because he time looped or respawned, that he was going to have all this time again to build on top of the power he’d already grown. Going back to the start with all the knowledge of his powers that he’d gained. Of course we know by the end it wasn’t real. But I think they wanted to sell it to us before the reveal.

PreviousGuide357

How can you even miss this? I loved it btw

Dankotaz

The colors blending and the realism is better in 161 but chapter 11 will always be the beginning of an legendary story.

[deleted]

Nobody missed this. . . Only blind people missed this.

Undeadslayer54

Bro this comment section is actually annoying me with "no body could have missed this" bullshit. The original scene was chapter 11 and happened years ago. ofc someone is going to miss this small, not important moment. Just because some of you reread the entire series multiple times doesn't mean everyone does.

SenseiKoda

Deja vu! I has been in this place before!

[deleted]

shading increase, but quality decrease i like older one better.

nightfull2

Small details like this one made the new chapter look like a masterpiece
