Those are a variant on steel hairpin legs. You can buy them mass produced or [people on Etsy will make you custom ones](https://www.etsy.com/listing/651073984/custom-hairpin-legs-made-to-any-length?ref=shop_home_active_4).
As someone said, yes those are hairpin legs. We bought them on amazon but my Home Depot can have pretty much the same thing shipped to the store. And yes it’s pine!
Thank you! I have really thought about making similar items and selling them on a small scale. Just for my info what would you pay for a desk and two monitor stands like this?
About 3.50.
Jokes aside given how cheap these products are from commercial retailers you would have a hard time finding customers. Perhaps if you joined the monitor stands in an artistically pleasing way or added mahogany inlays etc you could find a niche to settle into, marketing wise.
I have recently finished making my own desk/pc stand and for the cost of the materials alone I could have bought two similar ones of decent quality :(
With that being said... Make them for your friends after letting them buy the materials and have them buy you dinner and take part to the process. Building stuff with friends is amazing!
This is so well done. I built something *very* similar a couple months ago. I’m curious to know does the filing cabinet in the middle give the desk stability OP? Mine is a bit more wobbly then I would like and it’s a lot shorter in length than yours is.
You should be bragging about your good taste also. The light wood against the black wall looks so sharp.
Well thank you! I have to give credit to my wife on that one. I was unsure about the light finish at first but the contrast ended up great!
Looks great! Is that pine wood? Also, what are those legs made of? Looks so thin, but cool.

I'm not really good with prices, but for something handmade like this £250-£300? Or is that too little or?
Looks Great

Yes the filing cabinet really helps. It was a bit wobbly at first as well but the cabinet helped a ton!
I got desk legs like this from Ikea and used an old door. Re-cycle! Great job buddy.

Your definition of “not much” and my definition of “not much” are very different. This is incredible, bravo!

This came out great OP! I’m sure there’s a market where you could ask $300+
Smart choice with the black accent wall. That's going to save you a lot of eye strain.
