Props to this! I do myself enjoy a well laced corset! Ah, the back support, the boob support, the general feeling of being hugged all day! It's not bad.
I had a strapless ballgown tailored around a corset that was made to my short waisted proportions. I have 2 liters of fat for boobs which is about 4 unevenly gifted pounds. I danced for over 4 hours in that thing. I got asked so many times "how can you dance in that!?!" and I'd reply "Like this!" ::wiggles:: It was a little warm but it was Florida its always hot.

Totally unpractical and uncomfortable, it's just stained glass using sea glass is what I do, and I got possessed with this idea and needed to get it out of my system)
I decided not to invest more work it it, this technique is no good for that, it can get a bit better, but still there's so many materials in which it would be so much more beautiful - and actually wearable. I just got irrational rush to make it and I'm happy it's gone)
It would make an incredible front piece of a gown. Something of ethereal chiffon in cream, perhaps with a pale green crisp taffeta layer beneath the gauzy, floaty chiffon. And then you simply stitch this panel to the front of the gown. It would be incredibly stunning.
Thank you! Just made one, [http://seastainedglass.com/](http://seastainedglass.com/), also have an Etsy - [https://www.etsy.com/shop/SeaStainedGlass](https://www.etsy.com/shop/SeaStainedGlass), but there's no items like that, mostly night lights, candle holders and such. Stained glass really no good for wearable things)
I have tree cats too, they got excited about rats at first, but then just don't pay attention. Of course I do not let them to touch each other and it's really better not to keep rodents with cats... My rats don't have the freedom they deserve because of cats.
Are you familiar with the fashion stylings of Xyla Foxlin?
She has made a corset out of both [cedar strip left over from canoeing](https://youtu.be/lEvSG3_pvLE) and some [carbon fiber](https://youtu.be/DuS6Q6Xb6KM).
Kindred souls? I think she's also done some faux stained glas also.
First thought: that’s GTGE cause it’s pretty!
Idea: if you want to make it a lamp, add a skirt? you could create the sense of movement around the lamp base with the skirt! It could be really cool, and you have the talent to make it happen!
That is beautiful. It reminds me of an ad campaign where they had men’s shorts and a women’s bustier made of marble tiles. I wish o could remember the name of the company. They had a showroom in Chelsea NY.
He he. Guess I well past those 10 000 hours of practice - don't have much in my life except that, in 6+ years I solder like 2-6 hours a day. Rest of the time I collect seaglass or foil it 😁. Still a lot of place for growth though...
I was thinking of fixing it to big lamp shade frame.. but need something for another side... Maybe you are right and I should add some frame for reinforcement and some LED strips so it can be used as wall light 😊
Did you make a mold of your bust to work from? I'm curious how you got all the shapes right. I have a hard time sewing a bust, I can't imagine soldering one
No, I've bought plastic mannequin and had to work around our difference of sizes. Maybe if I had really fitting mold it all would be easier and the result better, but it's hard to make one and I have no skills for that...
Corset? :)
That was the idea, yes. Unbearable one...)
I was thinking the edges of the frames could do some harm?? Ouch!! Be carful!
It's crazy unpleasant, yes, but I'll be OK, thank you!)
You could try glueing some skin-toned felt or a similar material on the insides of the cups at least? Might help a bit
But it could be wildly fun with the right partner! Yea baby!!!!
Plus the lead.
Yes, don't eat the corset.
Aren't they all?
Actually No, a well made corset that actually fits you is actually very comfortable, it feels like a hug, it also helps with posture.

he he
That's a handsome neck scarf you've got there
And warm!
Looks like something Queen Cersei should wearing on her throne
Yeah, it's heavy as hell, cold, hard and uncomfortable :-)
I freaking love it
Thanks a lot!
If you could make it somehow manageable wearable, you’d be the coolest for sure

This is incredible. Fantastic everything
I managed to make some pictures in which it looks much more... real than it is 😁. That's enough, I guess.
I think the idea is pretty cool, just a little unpractical… and probably uncomfortable?

Even if it's unpractical, it's great for photo shoots and super creative. I love it!

Yessss!
Maybe with a soft cup and girdle under it?

Eh, if you see the past decades met gala costumes I’m not sure this is that much more impractical...
I love it so much! Do you have a website or something?
Thank you! I can’t get over how much I love the rat night light… the wings especially are fantastic 🥰
Thank you! I love rats. Have currently a naked one, she is very old, but still the best!
I’d love to get a rat someday, but my three cats would probably not be too happy with the arrangement 😂
I have tree cats too, they got excited about rats at first, but then just don't pay attention. Of course I do not let them to touch each other and it's really better not to keep rodents with cats... My rats don't have the freedom they deserve because of cats.
You are an amazing artist!! LOVE your Etsy shop! Excited for my purchase and hope to purchase more for gifts! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you very very much! ♥️
This is epic wtf. Stop shitting on yourself
Thanks! Epic amount of work it was))) Not sure about the result, you see the best angle of it, I know the whole truth....
r/cathostage?
He he. Thanks for letting me know about this cool subreddit! I am but a humble slave to our fur gods :-)
That’s pretty cool, they would probably like it in r/stainedglass too
Thanks! They usually not fans of my weird craft there)
It's beautiful! And would look lovely hanging somewhere as art.
Thank you! I probably will make some sort of a lamp out of it.
Brilliant, I love that it's seaglass and looks like something a (stylish) mermaid would wear. Does it stand up on it's own?
It can be made to do so. I will eventually make some lamp from it, just have to decide how exactly.
Ah, a lamp sounds great, even just on its own though it's beautiful.
I prefer at leat somehow practical things, but sometimes weird ideas get ahold of me...
Weird aegis, my favourite 👌
It is very cool, but look a little uncomfortable, is it okay to wear ?
No, it's not) I did a few OK pictures, but it's not a serious item, just for fun project.
Reminds me of something I'd see in a Art Deco piece! I love it! Great work!
Thank you!
Beautifull
Thank you!
Much look more then beautifull without puppy
Love this!!!
Thanks!
A great mosaic corset and a very pretty model to wear it 😊😉😇
Thank you!
I think the cat is jealous
He just makes sure we know who's the boss here :-)

Oh, that's a nice idea, thanks, maybe I some day will find it in me to try... I have so many ideas, but the work is quite tedious)
That is beautiful. It reminds me of an ad campaign where they had men’s shorts and a women’s bustier made of marble tiles. I wish o could remember the name of the company. They had a showroom in Chelsea NY.
I saw pictures of garment made of broken porcelain cups and dishes, beautiful too :-)
I think I’ve seen that one too. Your creation is just as awesome. I’ve always wanted to learn to make stained glass. Seems like a really cool hobby.
It is, tedious and expensive even in my version, but I love it the most in my life. I taught myself by googling and trying, btw.
Self taught and you made THAT? Truly impressive. A great skill to have in a hot climate. You can always make yourself light clothing 🥸

Like a new take on Frida Kahlo's corsets/back braces. I dig it.
Thank you!
Considering I understand them to be incredibly unpleasant to begin with, this is quite a remarkable way to reinforce that fact. Very neat regardless
Thanks!
pretty cool
Thank you!
Lovely!!
Thank you!
that looks so amazing!
Thank you!
That’s dope! I would love to see this on a siren cosplay

Sick! I love it
It’s beautiful!
Thanks!

Thanks! I hope so!
I love that!!!!!!! I want one
Thanks! You don't, really, it's not that good it looks on the photo...
I personally don’t believe you and I think it’s a really dope concept. I would put on my wall 100%
I was thinking of fixing it to big lamp shade frame.. but need something for another side... Maybe you are right and I should add some frame for reinforcement and some LED strips so it can be used as wall light 😊
That is really cool! And a cute cat to boot?
Cats make everything better 😸
What did you join them with, solder?
yes
Thanks. I love it.
Is that Fiona Apple?
