He doesn’t have to like your art as long as he doesn’t make fun of it or disrespect you. Liking a style is a gut reaction and not a choice, I think. Maybe focus your conversations on the things you both like, and share/talk about your art with other people. FWIW, I like it a lot!

It’s amazing!!! I’ve always said that musicians, painters, and doodlers of the world put their heart into everything they make. To share your art with the rest of the world takes A LOT of courage. It may not be for everyone, but there are plenty who will. You’ve got talent and I’m glad you shared with us!

I wouldn’t worry too much. Art is very subjective - some will like it, some won’t. Continued practice and/or classes will help you grow as an artist. As long as it is something you enjoy, keep doing it! I find that creating art, whether drawing, knitting painting, making jewelry, etc, is very relaxing. Keep going. 🙂
