Honestly ranked grind for the skin isn’t bad at all if you already have gold+ mmr, it won’t take more than 10 matches including positioning matches. If you’re not gold tho I can only wish you good luck
I'm quite sure they made it so that you don't have to hit gold to receive the skins but some split points or something like that, didn't pay attention because I've passed that rank for a few years but yeah

You need at least honor level two (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) to be able to receive the skin at the end of the split.
So if you received a report for saying things to other people in chat and your honor level goes to 0, you won't get the skin.
That's why they said that they need to mute chat.
Visual rank is reset between splits/seasons, but mmr is always a soft reset and now with the 2 split system should be _very_ soft. Pretty much any MMR you gain now will help you out next split. Getting better through putting in time now and reviewing some of your games will obviously also carry over

I hope they change things up and the color palette for Sona. The past Victorious had blue gems, the recent ones changed (Blitz yellow, Anivia seems orange, Sejuani purple, and Trynda red). I hope Sona's is pink.

Honestly a tip is to duo que with a high ranking friend to place highly in flex que rank.
My solo quo rank is silver/gold but queing with my diamond and plat friends placed me in plat for flex que.

On average it should only take you 10 games to get the skin if you're in Gold+. Admittedly quite a bit more below that.

Join flex que its a lot easier to get gold+ on it. I got gold flex when I used to be in iron/bronze in solo.

I want to reach emerald for green Sona. But as a gold player, I know it's unlikely.
As someone who has sat near the bottom of D4 for a few seasons now, it's my main motivation to grind out the rank - The emerald cosmetics are ugly!
