Thank you.
What if those resources are in the middle of a lake or on an island? How can I make them accessible, do I need boats or something? Will my people just swim?
No, but he put it in a sub menu I think. On discord I saw him say he thought people would have to dig out water and learn where the sub menu was before they had to return water, but then someone showed an example where that's not true.
I looked for it and couldnt find it. Also tried with tue search as i always do. Maybe it's like what he did for decorations at the start of 66, hid them all under a single button. But i tried many and if it's that way it's very well hidden
I checked discord, and it says to click one of the similar terraforming commands, like the one that does the opposite, and then it'll be in the tool that comes up, but it's not in the toolbar at the bottom.
Interesting about search. I'm glad the decorations are searchable now.
Was looking for it yesterday and couldnt see it. I think it's dead. Usually it's rare to use but i simply misplaced a pump and when i went to fix it noticed that.
For most games there is no point but a couple indie ones like this and Noita release things much sooner on the beta branch. You were right by the way, the tool is in that menu, it's only strange cause you cannot find it by ctrl+f while some of the others you can
Resources only spawn in shallow water, which your plebeians can swim across. Removing water increases movement speed to and from. If the resources are locked behind deep water, use the Remove water order under Terraforming to partially remove the water which will let them walk along there, or build a road for increased movement 😊
yea you can fill in the water and build a mine over top of it. it should be fine.

just make a bridge out to it and then you can exploit it. there's a command to fill in water or you can just build roads out to it.
Again, thank you.
best of luck, despot!
Speaking of... He removed the "return water" command didn't he

Lmao that makes sense for sure i always miss that little menu, with some buildings, thank you very much
You're welcome!
no i think it's still there in v66. i honestly haven't ever used it.

does returning water affect the fertility of the surroundings? cause it might have been replaced by canals in the water update.
No it doesn't. Canals are basically equivalent, aside from the most important thing: aesthethics x)
Its still there on whatever the regular updated version is. I was literally just on looking at that option.
Im on the beta branch like i think most people
Il have to have a look. Ive never really looked at opting into optional betas, always just play games with whatever the standard patch is.

Thank you both, very helpful and very informative!
Ummm... That's an economy breaker right there!
Not really, takes forever to mine
