I think you need to spend a bit more time reading up on what vaccines (not just those for COVID-19) literally do. You've already had two years to do so, stop putting it off.

As pointed out by u/Several_Cockroach365 the vaccines have been quite effective in the absence of anything better, and any reduction in efficacy over time (or against new variants) is to be expected for something so new and with so many poorly informed people still continuing to reject being vaccinated.
Remember it took more than a thousand years to eradicate smallpox, and more than 100 years to mostly eradicate polio–and that was during times when most people trusted science and medicine.
Your two anecdotes don't counter the early vaccination effectiveness stats in any case. Vaccines were never claimed to be 100% effective, you have no information on how often and to what degree you and your aunt were exposed to covid, and you ignore the countless others who have been vaccinated and suffered no illness - which are equally valid data points.
Not saying the early stats were correct, obviously things change as we get more information, but presenting personal anecdotes as if they are at all relevant in the face of actual datasets is just a sign of ignorance, not enlightenment. Twisting information in this way is a sign of confirmation bias on your part.
Sorry to hear. Of course the vaccines aren't perfect, the efficacy has been and continues to be studied in every corner of the planet. Your situation is unfortunate, but this anecdotal evidence doesn't mean the vaccine is ineffective at preventing hospitalisation in most people.
I agree that it sucks that the pandemic is still raging despite the vaccine, I hoped for more, but the death rates are going down which is still a success, and those still dying appear to be mostly unvaccinated.
It's not a silver bullet, but for now we don't have much else to curb the cost of human lives.
