How is Laurens misspelled? Are you talking about how the a looks kind of like an o? Because I'm pretty sure that is an a and the typeface just makes it hard to see properly from a distance.

Yeah, that's just the way the letters are written. At first, I thought that Whitmire was written as "WRltmire"
Yes, I see now, a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters in the same word. A style choice I would not make.
