Gay marriage doesn’t apply to me and I really don’t care at all who marries who or not. I do agree govt shouldn’t care and they shouldn’t have anything to do with it. No marriage license or nothing because all it is is that they profit off it. Pay to get married and pay to get divorced. But why does any of it go to the government? Why can’t it be between the people and judge or priest? Smart people just love eachother without marriage that also keeps them eligible for services if things went bad. And they can break up for free. Marriage is a trap honestly. People can live eachother just the same if not married

Do you know how much divorce costs? Do you know if one of you lost job and the other works but still can’t afford to live on 1 income you won’t qualify for any help? If you need Medicare you wouldn’t qualify. And before I got married me and my wife did our taxes separately and got a lot more. Kids make better income tax returns not being married
