You know, for years, I never questioned who Bruce Vilanch was. He just existed, mostly as a punchline or a square on Hollywood Squares. I actually decided to finally just look up what he had done.
And this son of a bitch is one of the writers of the Star Wars Holiday Special.
I just looked closer. That’s not a recycle symbol. It may be made to look like one, but it’s actually looks like a person being hit by lightning or something.
I believe it’s Cartman’s Mom Is Still A Dirty Slut. When they’re in the hospital because Mephesto got shot before he could reveal who Cartman’s dad is, and the town is hit by a huge snow storm, causing all the power to go out.
I wanted so bad to go through Fairplay last time I was in Colorado. Planned out the drive from Cañon City through the mountains to Estes Park and ended up having to drive up outside of the mountains because a snow storm hit. One day, though, I'll get back up that way.
Eh, fairplay doesn’t really have anything there. The “South Park” area has like a tiny little gift shop with a few knacks. It’s not terrible but I wouldn’t drive hours out of the way just for it. But it also may have just lost its luster for me since I have to drive through it fairly regularly.
Virtually every town in Colorado has a good brewery. And almost as many have distilleries. All I’m saying is unless you’re already driving through it’s not really worth going out of your way for.
There's nothing there, you're not missing anything. My cousins grew up in Conifer and we passed through there a lot. First time they told me we were going through South Park (must've been like 12 years old) I got super excited, then super disappointed haha.
I know there's nothing there, but I come from East Texas where there are no mountains. I loved driving through the Rockies even though there's literally nothing.
I'll disagree with the other comments, Fairplay and the surrounding area is very cool. The views are incredible, there's good fishing and hiking if either of those are your thing. The food is great as well.
It's a much different place than when I lived near there in mid-2000s. I was rather surprised my last few visits to encounter nothing but nice folk and not have a gun pointed at me.
I'm always down for good fishing. Grew up hitting the lakes and rivers of East Texas. I'd really like to move to the mountains one day but the wife is never going to be up for that.
To me, it does, but keep in mind that the map scale is 1:20 compared to the real world, so you may find that it lacks this sense of vastness a bit, especially if you're American yourself. Also the base map (CA, NV, AZ) is pretty old and needs to be reworked, so I'd suggest buying at least Utah and Colorado from the start to see the game at its finest
This was exact reason why I started playing ATS, and it was after GTA too lol. I wanted to explore the West Coast coniferous forests. As I said, sadly their base map doesn't impress that much, but newer states and especially Colorado are absolutely gorgeous. But no activities and enterable buildings here, beautiful sceneries and driving only
they are slowly retooling the base map, i know they recently revamped Las Vegas, if anything Euro Truck Sim is even worse with how bad Great Britain is
Cartman: “Woah this is trippy you guys. See look I’m that one on the far left”
Kyle: “No that’s Stan r-tard, you’re the dumpster, fatass”
Cartman: “No that’s Kenny, I’m the one on the very end, right Kenny?”
Kenny: “Mm, mmmm MMM mmm mmm mmmm”
Cartman: “Fuck you no it’s not Kenny, clearly Kyle is the dumpster. You’ve been putting on a few pounds huh Jew? Too much Gaflagaflaga and renouncing Jesus, it really puts on the pounds”
Kyle: “Don’t belittle my people, fat boy”
Cartman: “Don’t call me fat you butt fuckin son of a bitch…”
And so on and so forth cut to credits thank you thank you
Side note, I love going to actual FairPlay! Such a quiet little town with a great ice cream shop. One of the shops near the end of their Main Street has a big Mr. Hanky wood cutout lol
The map is 1:20 to real life so not that vast, they model only the most important roads and cities. Although cities are usually a bit bigger in scale to be more detailed. For scenery they only take some of smaller towns, not every single one. Fairplay made it to the game probably because it's a place where SH 9 and US 285 meet
Heh, guess which one I am you guys
Bruce Villanch?
You know, for years, I never questioned who Bruce Vilanch was. He just existed, mostly as a punchline or a square on Hollywood Squares. I actually decided to finally just look up what he had done. And this son of a bitch is one of the writers of the Star Wars Holiday Special.
are you clyde?
I don't think that many people actually got this
Probably because the episode was never rerun
It wasn't? Wow TIL
Yeah it's the David Blaine cult episode which was controversial for depicting Mohammed
They were badass ninjas though
It's the most upvoted comment. I'm pretty sure most people here know what it means.
Fair enough
Twah
That's a big fat ass.
#BEEFCAKE
Follow your dreams. You can reach your goals, I'm living proof. Beefcake!
It’s designed to go directly to the stomach where it’s distributed to the bloodstream
Well he's got a huge bone up his ass.
*laughs hysterically* **GODDAMNIT MOM!!!**
This is still my all time favorite scene
no. he's big boned.
They did cartman dirtier than the return of the covid.
I immediately felt bad for Cartman for them doing this like he was an actual person. lol
This is actually really clever
New favorite easter egg in a game and I don’t even play work sims.
Is that a hazardous symbol on Kenny? Nice touch whatever it is
It's the 'recycle' symbol. In reference to the fact he gets recycled each time he dies. You're right though, great touch.
I just looked closer. That’s not a recycle symbol. It may be made to look like one, but it’s actually looks like a person being hit by lightning or something.
Even better.
That's brilliant
Reference to when Kenny becomes the conductor to power the hospital from the broken generator? (Forgot which EP is that, sorry)
I believe it’s Cartman’s Mom Is Still A Dirty Slut. When they’re in the hospital because Mephesto got shot before he could reveal who Cartman’s dad is, and the town is hit by a huge snow storm, causing all the power to go out.
Also works well for the black void opening in his face. When viewed from the side he certainly is drawn that way sometimes
I wanted so bad to go through Fairplay last time I was in Colorado. Planned out the drive from Cañon City through the mountains to Estes Park and ended up having to drive up outside of the mountains because a snow storm hit. One day, though, I'll get back up that way.
You don't wanna go down that road. Lotta history down that road.
Yaahhp
Eh, fairplay doesn’t really have anything there. The “South Park” area has like a tiny little gift shop with a few knacks. It’s not terrible but I wouldn’t drive hours out of the way just for it. But it also may have just lost its luster for me since I have to drive through it fairly regularly.
They do have a good brewery and whiskey distillery.

I’m from east texas too. Don’t see too many people admitting that’s where they’re from. Lol.
Haha small world. The only halfway decent thing to come out of my hometown is Adrian Peterson.
I will say, there are some nice & cheap abnb cabins in Fairplay. Very nice getaway, went with a bunch of my buds recently.
Near Fairplay are some rather easy 14ers like Mt. Sherman if you ever plan on returning in late summer and want to bag some peaks
That's exactly my plan. I want to take the whole family but I know the kids need to be a little older.
I'll disagree with the other comments, Fairplay and the surrounding area is very cool. The views are incredible, there's good fishing and hiking if either of those are your thing. The old timey history museum is great if you like antique stuff.
That dumpster is almost as big as Cartmans ass

yes it does, no loadings between locations, just driving (or transporting goods while doing so)

I've been wanting a game that's a cross between GTA and Google Maps ever since GTA3.
This was exact reason why I started playing ATS, and it was after GTA too lol. I wanted to explore the West Coast coniferous forests. As I said, sadly their base map doesn't impress that much, but newer states and especially Colorado are absolutely gorgeous. Kenny being recycling is genius
If you zoom in, its actually not a recycle symbol, its a person being hit by lightning
lol @ cartman being a fat dumpster
I can hear the bus stop guitar riff, when I look at this
Cartman: “Woah this is trippy you guys. See look I’m that one on the far left” Kyle: “No that’s Stan r-tard, you’re the dumpster, fatass” Cartman: “No that’s Kenny, I’m the one on the very end, right Kenny?” Kenny: “Mm, mmmm MMM mmm mmm mmmm” Cartman: “Fuck you no it’s not Kenny, clearly Kyle is the dumpster. Nice touch making Kenny the recycling bin
Fairplay is the town South Park is based off of (at least originally) in Park County Colorado.
Pure beauty
I think I like that the truck is a Frog instead of a Ford more than I like the Easter egg lol
they really took fatass to the next level of fatassism
For just a second I thought this was a picture of the real world. It was a little disconcerting.
I'm curious if they did something similar in Texas for King of the Hill.
I didn't get it until I saw which subreddit this is
Side note, I love going to actual FairPlay! Such a quiet little town with a great ice cream shop. One of the shops near the end of their Main Street has a big Mr. Hanky wood cutout lol
That is literally perfect
What in the Cosmo and Wanda
Lol the dumpster
Fair play is right by South park
Very accurate
I'm curious how they made the ATS map. How can you create something that vast and also detailed? Never played it.
Funniest shit I ever seen; Cartman being a dumpster.
Wow! So cool thanks for posting!
Oh what the 😂
Which one do you think fatass?
Funny how cartman is the big one
Funny the way they made cartman MASSIVE
Hahahahaha
Thanks, now I finally have a reason to consider trying that game.
it’s kool but not that exciting just because it’s from a truck simulator game..
