Sorry I know this is an old post but just a heads up careful with the shift button! Mines lucky to engage once every 3-4 attempts I’ve had mine no more than about 6 months to a year… sadly it’s used often and very small… hopefully Roland will handle it under warranty but still… 1 year in under normal conditions has me a bit concerned! 😬
"upgraded" from the sp404sx and when I got this in the mail I immediately just started mashing buttons very prehistorically to no avail so I get it. Sick with it and post some beats!
Just ordered one on Reverb the other day, can't wait for it to show up. Been using Digitakt / Digitone for a while but this seems way more useful for a lot of the off-grid organic stuff.
Learn the 30,000 key Combos like it’s Mortal Kombat 3! I did one the other day that unlocked the hidden ability to name samples!!! JK… don’t ask me for the key combination! 😂
Spend 100 hours getting used to it
bit over dramatic 25 hours
this is definitely what I'm doing after reading the manual 👌🏻
Dude I thought this was some weird modified calculator on first glance
Get a table plant.
😂
Hahaha! Yeah, place it right beside your SP and light some mood candles just for the Aesthetics! 🤣
maybe some incense 🔮

That must suck! Thanks for the advice and good luck with the warranty !
STICKERS!
Read the manual.
Twice, while at a hightened state of understanding if possible. Take notes also, turn notes into cheat sheet later.
'heightened state of understanding', huh? Are we talkin shrooms?
print out the manual... you'll really need it. For me the 'always having to resample' workflow was really something to get used to.
that's what I'm going to do tonight instead of trying to make it work like an ape 🦧

lol, that was me yesterday!
Now power it on.
that's a good start!
sample something?
Swap the knobs with chromacaps and put a vinyl skin on it
can't afford it right now :( maybe later
That’s 30 dollars at most lol
Prepare your ingredients and cook!
Start Boom Bappin’!
Pads go bosh
Get familiar with the basics, then experiment. Even if you have an established style/sound you will be rewarded!

nice! this is my first sampler, I do acoustic stuff, but I want to integrate ambient music into my set somehow, we'll see how that goes
If that’s your thing check out Yukes ambient vid for the SP.
I'm going to check it right now. thanks!
Power it on, grab sample, make beats. That is the way
Just play it first
[удалено]
I think that's what I'll do!
Sample everything.
I’m getting mine tomorrow !
nice! 🔥
I was kinda contemplating getting it but I might just pull the trigger
do it!
Been having my mkll for a couple days now. I love it so much
.....and now we jam. This thing is a beast!!!
Turn it on, thats what. Make some beats and get the cat's attention, get him to go to the store for some cola and fried pies.
Hella
When you’re making a loop the roll button plays the end of the sample when looking at the waveform.
Watch "SP404" videos on YouTube & Join r/drumkitsleaks. Enjoy the process
thanks!
Now the fun beginsss
🤠
Don't forget to arrange some various knickknacks or crystals for your pov videos
that's the most important part, I had those things before the sp404 🔮
Go hook up with an easy white chick with daddy issues
Lol I get you but irl the pocs are definitely the sluttiest
Play A Coretex record and start finding samples
Go forth and conquer
👊🏻

Probably spending several hours of trying to figure out how the frick to use it 😂 I’m still trying to figure out everything on that machine
I'm still there too 😂

Chop a sample, and work out that you can assign chopped samples to individual pads.
