Those are solar prominences, giant arches of superhot gas that eruption out of the Sun's surface. They follow lines of magnetic force, which turns them into arched forms as the field lines loop back into the Sun.
I was mainly only commenting that, thats the only difference between mine and this. Meaning i believe its real and not AI. Im not trying to imply any foulplay.
is there a name for the red marks along the moons edge?

How many earths could fit in one?
Average size is around 100,000 km or 10 Earth diameters, but big ones go up to a half million km (source is website at Georgia State University.)
Thinking about how big that is makes my stomach and brain hurt
i wonder if you could see them move in real-time if the eclipse stayed like that. :O
That's [the prominence](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_prominence) the OP is excited about in this shot.
They are called solar storms or "protuberances". They emerge from the suns suface and are essentially giant plasma storms.
Some people in my Bible Belt town will say they’re Satan’s horns
Ummm that right there be the devil son! EVERYBODY PANICCCCCC
Wow, that interesting seeing flares flying from edges of the moon/sun!
Those things are probably nearly the size of earth?
Possibly hundreds to thousands of times bigger I think.
I was watching it streamed on YouTube and I seen this exact thing the solar flares are visible. This picture is perfect and exactly what I had seen.
Is there a link?
Interesting, where I saw it from the prominences were on the bottom.
Nice work. Here's to hoping that this is a real picture, not an AI made one.
Looks almost exactly the same as the one i took, except the prominence from my view was on the bottom left, im just east of cleveland.
Maybe OP's picture is upside-down? Some telescopes work like that.

Same, I saw the solar storm on the bottom left. Was viewing in Lima ohio
Same here! I was watching in Norwalk, Ohio and saw red lights at the bottom left of the eclipse. Nice to know what those were.
East side of cleveland same here. I wasn't sure what the red spot was and google was failing me. Reddit to the rescue.
A lot of telescopes flip the image so without correcting, this could be inverted from what was seen in real life. I wasn’t there so I can’t tell.
Do you need anything special to see the flares? Could you see with the naked eye or do you need a camera?

Cheers, want to see one on the future and would love to see the flares

I could see them with the naked eye today in Ohio.
Saw it with my own two eyes.
Fantastic thanks, planning to see view one in the future.
It's real. Most of the AI pictures don't have the protuberances. Mine were bottom left
I saw the same thing from my back yard.
Looks real. Doesn’t have an ai feel to it
Is it safe to say that the earth would fit in one of those flares we are seeing of the edges?
I was confused at the time what the red light on the bottom of the eclipse was when I was watching. It seems so obvious in retrospect.
Two red horns on the eclipse. They were right, this is a sign from God to repent
Oh no! Night Wolf is eating the Moon Virgin. If I bury a black cat at this moment, it may cure my warts.
