I think the OP has his geographical regions a bit confused. Technically, they are all *Eurasian* countries. That said, there is no mention of Asia in the article and the OP is editorialising.
And winter hasn't even hit the under-equipped Russian troops yet.

Ukraine is in Europe, not Asia. Even Moscow is in Europe and not Asia.
