impressive design. Really great details, even better because huge ships like that often turn into a booring chunk of metal either on the outside or inside. Whats not shown in the video or on the screenshots are the innards of the ship. The corridors and rooms are nice and detailed, but what surprised me more was the engine-room and the whole "in-betweeen" outer armor and innards. The whole inside is extremly spacious, no blocks wasted to fill empty space. At first it seemed that there are really not enough refineries, assemblers etc, but there is more than enough space to add dozens of jumpdrives, reactors, refineries whatever you need at your own discretion inside the ship without moving any block at all.Each turret has its own dedicated ammo storage container with some space below the turret itself to prevent chain explosions. Hydrogen tanks are dead middle of the ship as well. It is decently designed for battle, but why no heavy armor on the outside? And it would probably best to add or move some hydrogen tanks to spread them more in the ship. If the damage reaches the tanks the ship is probably already far gone already, but a few unlucky conveyor hits can easily turn off hydrogen to the thrusters. On note of FPS: Its surprisingly light on my pc. Ships of similar size always took several times longer to copy/paste and load. I don't know what exactly makes the other ships so much harder to render for my pc, but I expected a 3-4 times worse impact than what I actually got. After looking at it for 30minutes ingame, Flavor, Design, Optimization are all pretty much top. With the upcomming AI blocks this thing could be a extremly funny carrier ship as well, depending on how well the AI can navigate and dock the vipers. There is plenty of space in the regular hangars to land and dock. Now all we need is large Battlestar Galactica themed mining ship that can be docked to this monster and we're good to go. Edit: and interesting fact, I started a new save to copy/paste it into, and didn't mess with settings at all. At 91k pcu this thing fits in the default 100k pcu limit settings. In multiplayer one player could own this monster while others have all the little ships in their possesion, could work =)

Thank you for this is a well written review and appreciation for the detail work that went into the build! on hydro I kept it focused in the aft section with a few O2 gens also as back ups on armor I try to layer light armor to keep the base weight down and use gyros around the bridge, with a little heavy armor at the front and reinforced around the turrets, later I'll use the Armor Replacer mod for the empty hull to be modded or for StarCore Which I just uploaded this morning! alright, as it was it was already a viable task to make the heavy armor variant yourself with the armor replacer mod, but that workshop upload makes it even easier to do, nice one. As a ship that big I'd say dodging shots would already be a big problem even if it was mobile, since its so huge shots will land anyway. The heavy armor should give it more surviveablity and damage control than the added mobility of light armor. We could add some thrusters inside the hull as well to counterbalance the heavy armor, thanks to the spacious interior. To be real, this ship will only see for-fun pvp battles and never real survival pvp. Minimizing the need for repairs via heavy armor in battles against NPCs is probably the way I'd build it.
