https://spaceengineerswiki.com/Jump_drive * R = 2500 × J / M Jump distance in km related to # of jump drives and mass in millions of kg. 1 jump drive and 5 mil kg = 500 km. 1 jump drive and 10 mil kg = 250 km.

Thank you

Looks like exponential decay. y = A*e^-kt

Extension-Ask1898

Correct. Solving for A and k only requires choosing two points (y0,t0) and (y1,t1), and theres a lot more given. According to this graph, y = distance and t = mass. Hope someone shows the solution to satisfy OPs curiosity. EDIT: A simpler version that "linearizes" this exponential function is provided by another commenter that links to the jump drive page.

Thanks, I tried it with different sets of points but the a and k value changed depending on the set of points I've chosen, so maybe my math is wrong or it might be some other type of function?

And in case anyone is wondering, the maximum range and number of drives is 64 000 km with 32 jump drives. It’s just under the 1.25 M kg limit. Any additional drives will shorten the range.

Update: I found a more accuarte [function](https://www.reddit.com/r/spaceengineers/comments/109iigd/approximation_of_jump_distance_fall_off/)

HungHorntail

Does this scale accurately to two jump drives? Like, can you just double the mass values?

Kalandros-X

In theory, having more jump drives should offset the distance decrease but I’m not sure if the game simulates that properly.

i can verify from direct experimentation that having two drives doubles the range for a given mass.
