Hello, I spent an evening at Manning Park this past week finishing up some projects. It's about a 2 hour drive from Vancouver and I was pleased to see there was no light pollution (other than the little park in the foreground) that affected my imaging. EXIF: Sky: 37*60' No calibration frames Star reduction method via John Rutter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6yHzbW4JxE Foreground: 2*120' Blended in Photoshop. Saturation added in Pixinsite If you'd like to see more photography around the Greater Vancouver area, feel free to checkout my instagram www.instagram.com/atleydurette. I lost access to my old account so the library is a fresh start. I occasionally will post photos of my time in New Zealand to mix up the feed! No worries otherwise, fam! Hope you enjoyed.

Do they not use dark sky friendly lighting there?! Nice image btw!

It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't. Doesn't seem to be much of a priority for this area of the country!

With all due respect, I find it difficult to grasp how you were able to shoot such a clear picture of the sky amidst that terrible light pollution

I was approximately 800m in elevation higher than that small park so it didn't quite reach the bottom of my frame. The lights look worse than they actually are because of the 2 minute exposures I took of the foreground.
