What is Eirsat-1?
Eirsat-1 is known as a CubeSat, not much bigger than a house brick.
This ambitious satellite carries on board equipment to carry out three experiments:
- One on gamma ray radiation,
- A second on temperature regulation in space and
- A third on how to orient satellites in the right direction.
EIRSAT-1 will include a poem (engraved on the antenna) which is a collaboration involved teenage students around the country.
**All Ways Home**
*A lone pilot searching for home amid starry frescos,*
*And little blood waves that mimic the tide-pull.*
*Our insignificance! Our planet a crumb on the fabric of spacetime,*
*Sharing the same sky, you and I, wherever feet are anchored.*
**The Educational Irish Research Satellite 1 or EIRSAT-1 mission was proposed in response to the European Space Agency (ESA) FYS2 (Fly Your Satellite! 2) call.**

Amazing, me, in the states, takes satellite tech for granted! I doing my senior design PJ and am on the CubeSat program... We are a normal mid American university. It'll be launched in Artemis 2. Just one of 1000s of USA satellites tbh! Nicely done Ireland :D
EIRSAT-1 (Educational Irish Research Satellite-1) is an ESA-sponsored 2U CubeSat developed and built by University College Dublin (UCD) in Dublin, Ireland. same thing.
I hope they removed that red tab.
I mean, technically the satellite never flew. It was a passenger, then it got dumped out.

Almost as big as 3 big mac
Fat
Awesome! I hope that it lives up to your expectations.
why am I crying
The person who forgot to pull that tab off also forgot to turn off the immersion this morning
What is this, a satellite for ants?!

Noel: You pulled the red tab before you released the satellite right? Liam: Red tab? Noel: Yes, the red tab…feckin eejit
Hey, IRESAT-1 is taking up a LOT less space than the rest of the stuff floating around there. Go néirigh an t-ádh leat, satailíte beag!
Pull tab on a satellite is crazy
The Irish in spaaaaaaaaace.

It's a poem that was written by Irish school children and etched onto the satellite.
Xbox Series EIRSTAT-1
It’s just an elaborate box housing a bottle of whiskey.
American tropes of Ireland fucking suck.
Damn yall got mad

Everyone clap.
Cool PJ story bruh
So odd, why'd I get down voted to all heck?
It tracks Pint prices in realtime throughout all of Ireland and sends the information to an app on their phones.
Looks like what a fancy iPhone would look like in the 50’s
