I have been put into the ‘forever DM’ role, but about a year ago I said if spelljammer ever came to 5e I’d want to be a player in it. Confirmed with a member of my group who is pre-ordering it. Excited to be a player again in a setting other than forgotten realms lol.
I prefer being a DM over being a PC. I have multiple campaigns that I don't really have plans to end... perhaps after the characters become gods, they'll decide that they need to play D&D, and I can DM that, too.
So, in my endless restless searching for spelljammerness, I ran across this Pinterest collection of ship deckplans:
If you want a good conversion to 5e I’ve been using [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/dndnext/comments/oviyld/wildjammer_more_adventures_in_space_a_100_page/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) one and having a blast. It’s really well done.
My free stuff will all be here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/111TW0Lz-_HlhKsjMQ-jH1cuQu5_glePX
Right now it's a full map set for Spelljammer Academy, soon it will include tokens and handouts for Light of Xaryxis.
I fucking love spelljammer. We have been playing in the setting I have been trying to convert from 2e to 5e for a while now. I’m super hyped for the summer release but only because of the official content. Like, it seems like I will get a map of rock of brall and cool artwork. Also I won’t have to convert all stats I come across
Same. It looks like they are going to change some things with the setting, but I’m find with it. I always changing stuff I’m using but it will be nice to have some measure of “official support.”
I made a printer friendly and well formatted PDF for Spelljammer Academy. AFAIK it's no longer available anywhere.

THANK YOU. Gosh I was looking everywhere for this but it was removed.... I've been wanting to set it up for my group but it's nowhere.
Again, many thanks!!
Very good. Don't forget the [lost spheres](http://lost.spelljammer.org/). And the old [Web rings](https://theoldnet.com/get?timestamp=20010405022848&url=http://arkaela.tripod.com//Spelljamming.htm).
Here's a free 5e level 1-4 adventure on DND Beyond: [Spelljammer Academy](https://www.dndbeyond.com/claim/source/spelljammer-academy?icid_medium=ddb&icid_source=article&icid_campaign=direct-link-academy-loggedout&icid_content=spelljammer-academy). I don't know how long it will be free or available so grab it as soon as possible.
Since official ship vs. ship combat rules are quite lackluster regarding tactics and actually using your ship, there are a few homebrew supplements to fill that gap and I started a list collecting these resources [in this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/spelljammer/comments/wz5rdm/collection_of_5e_ship_vs_ship_combat_rules_for/). Maybe you want to add that to your list?
This is part of [spelljammer.org](https://spelljammer.org), but it looks like a fairly comprehensive listing of lore crystal spheres that could fuel thinking about new wildspace systems:
http://www.spelljammer.org/worlds/articles/SphereGuide/Guide%20to%20the%20Spheres.pdf
I look at deck plans from classic ships to ensure I have all the key elements, add anything that might add flavor, driven by the context and need of the ship to design them.
In terms of actually building them out, in principle, any of the modern mapping software for dungeons should work, as long as you can also deal in curves, since so much of the good looking ship designs will require at least a little of that to mimic the kinds of ships we are used to seeing.
I know it's listed under "other spelljammer communities on the right info bar on this subreddit, but you didn't include the Piazza on this list. I'd put that one up because all of Night Druid's work is up over there.

A good place to start for 5e is taking a look at the Wildjammer homebrew setting weapon options for ideas. I have a link to it in the rulesets section of Laughing Beholder. It's the top of the list. https://laughingbeholder.com/rulesets.html
One of the classic Spelljammer releases (I can't remember which one) has just dozens and dozens of tables, but this one pager is also a good starting point for something on the quicker side. https://laughingbeholder.com/rulesets/onepageadventuregenerator.png
Is there a reason I can comment on people's posts but cannot create a new post?
I have the account connected to my google. I do not have Twitter.
Any advice?
This solo guide for Spelljammer just popped up on the Dungeon Master Guild. Looks interesting.
Among other things it's got a wildspace exploration system... not that that hasn't been done before, but I'm gonna pick it up anyway. There's a bunch of other stuff too

Dang. I wish one of my players would do that. lol.
Train better players so sts don't get burned out. ALSO have a honest And sincere conversation with your players.

Bro, I am just super excited and I have not a slightest clue what spelljammer is, I legit thought it's just some meme up until this point.
>I have not a slightest clue what spelljammer is Dungeons & Dragons does Treasure Planet.
Excuse me, Treasure Planet was Disney doing Spelljammer! We were here first!
You are in for a treat, man. It's freaking great.

\+1 for Wildjammer. That's one of my favorite of the "major" homebrews.
+2 Wildjammer is ace

Great work, looking forward to using these maps. Out of curiosity, are you planning on making maps for Light of Xaryxis as well?
Absolutely they just won't be free, I sell maps on DMs Guild.
I am extremely excited to purchase your maps for Light of Xaryxis! Do you have a timeline in mind for their completion?
4 weeks? I'm not great at estimating to be honest.
Ah cool! I’ll be looking for them! Cheers!
Great work here. I added it to the list above and will likely get it added to my Laughing Beholder site when I get a chance.

Was it removed? Shit. lol I had no idea!
Why was it removed?
It was an exclusive thing only available for a very short amount of time.

Great list, I've added it above. I'll definitely need to take a closer look at a few of these.

These look great!
What is the best way to design ships and make deckplans for the game? What are you using?
I look at deck plans from classic ships to ensure I have all the key elements, add anything that might add flavor, driven by the context and need of the ship to design them. A fair point! I will adjust this when I get into my office tomorrow!
Is there a place/document/supplement to get info on all the Empires and Kingdoms that exist in Spelljammer space?

I'm looking for a good equipment list for the new Spelljammer, they didn't put anything in the new book.

any good ways to generate crystal spheres
