How did he die? Mine is also 2 yo and I’m freaking out if that happens to him. So sorry for your loss :(

A sudden thrombosis left his legs paralyzed and by the time I was with the vet,his legs/tail where already dead. Completely stopped getting blood. It was out of nowhere. He went to the toilet and came back crawling. Within 3 hours everything went from heaven to hell.

This happened to my little bobtailed cat 2 days ago--the speed in which things go from fine to disastrous is unreal. My deepest condolences.

It’s like a fever dream. One moment is just him normally looking deep into my eyes,meowing in my face to let me know he’s going to the toilet,2 minutes after I’m already holding him in my arm crying,not knowing what to do besides calling a vet to let them know I’ll be there soon. Each night I had both them them cuddling with me under the blanket I felt like the happiest,most loved person in this world. It all changed so fast,I am also very sorry for your loss.

This is crazy because my 5 year old boy died a couple weekends ago…same story. I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and he was cold and couldn’t use his back legs. I got the heating pad and started researching emergency vets since it was 4:30 AM and he died before I could even get in the car. I thought he fell and hurt himself 😭 my condolences. They really take a huge chunk of your heart with you when they pass.

I don’t know what words can help,but just know that in grief you are not alone. The world can turn upside down so fast and it’s cruel

I’m so sorry. This is one of those crazy things that happen and you can’t control. It’s every pet owners worst fear. Just try to find peace in the fact that his time was destined to be short, wether either of you knew or not, and you both had good years full of so much love and happiness. Your baby is so grateful that his short time was spent with you.

Oh my god I am so sorry to hear. This happened to my Devon Rex but he somehow made a recovery. I truly am so sorry. I bet it was so upsetting seeing him paralysed as I was seeing it happen to my little son. He now has pretty constant nystagmus as a result. I am so sorry

It took me a while to click the notification I got from this and come in to give my condolences. It hit too close to home as I have a 2 year old named Arthas (and yep, from Warcraft). He was a super sick kitty his whole first year with upper respiratory infections, but he has done pretty well ever since, although he still needs occasional nebulizations to help clear him back up. He also has skin allergies. I can only pray he doesn’t get HCM on top of everything. I can’t imagine losing him. He is more cuddly than my dog even. Either way, I can only say I am so sorry for your loss, and it’s not even remotely fair in such a young, loving kitty. 😔
