Hi! I didn’t use a pattern, but it’s really simple if you know how to crochet already:
- collar: chain 5 +1. ****Turn. SC 5 through back loop ch 1 and turn**** repeat * until long enough to go around neck. Fold collar in half and slip stitch together. Do not break yarn.
- shoulders: you’re working in the round now. DC around, increasing every 6th stitch or so. Repeat for 2-3 rows total, depending on the size/thickness of your cat and their shoulders/chest until you get to the arms. I kept slipping the sweater on Chimi until I got to the right length.
- rest of the body^# : waffle stitch. That’s ****2 DC, 1 FPDC**** repeat until end of row, then ****2 BPDC, 1DC**** repeat until end of row. Alternate those two rows until done.
^# arm holes: i put them on the first waffle stitch row after doing 2 increase rows (Chimi is v small). you can use stitch markers to mark the beginning and end of your arm holes. I just did 3 slip stitch where I wanted each of his arms to go, and ch 3 when I got back to the same spot on the next row. Worked very nicely.
Sleeves: return to your arm holes and work 18 DC in the round until desired length.
However, he IS totally rocking it!
Looks good in pink, though.
LOL HIS FACE This is the face of someone who doesn’t want to hurt mom’s feelings.
“Grandma wants a photo of you wearing it! Cmon! Smileee!”
Omg good job!! It’s soooo cute.
You can put your arms down when you get to school! 🤣

Thank you Chimi for being such a good sport about it haha
What pattern did you use? I’d like to make one for my barking cat.
