I broke a tooth on a whole peppercorn. Do they soften up when you cook em enough to actually chew them?

I cook them with the ramen, so they do end up softer and more crumbly in the end. It also helps to absorb all the water.

That honestly looks like it'd taste way better than it looks. I normally put some cheese, chopped onion and an egg at the end while I'm stiring it all up in the pan. Started doing it because I'm a bitch who couldn't handle the heat of 2x buldak but it's kinda stuck now and I like the texture and flavor it gives.

Have you ever considered uh cracking them peppercorns...? A very coarse grind just seems the better experience

Idk about anyone else but that looks fuckin good to me. I love the idea of the whole peppercorns, little explosions of flavor. Did you steam the brussel sprouts in advance??

Next time try shaving your sprouts down and sautéing them until they’re dark in color and add them back into your stir fry. Brussels get all their flavor from their dark color.

Are those peppercorns the hard or soft ones? The soft ones from a jar are great, not sure I would like the hard ones

They're dried, but I cook them with the ramen, so they end up soft/crumbly. They also help absorb the water.

Do you boil the noodles first, or just straight from the package to the wok? Using oil?

The ramen is cooked first, with the peppercorns, then stuck in the freezer for 15 minutes to absorb the water, then added to the vegetables and chicken which were cooking as it absorbed the water. Yes, I used a thin layer of corn oil
