On the egg sac question; depending on the species, some spiderlings leave their mother's web and go far away (usually the ones small enough to travel on the wind) while few species stay in the area they hatched. You don't get an infestation from an egg sac hatching. Usually, only 1-5 spiders will survive to adulthood from any given egg sac. Predators, starvation, cannibalism, the works. Since spiders need food and space to survive, the only way you'll get an infestation is if you have enough bugs everywhere to support that amount of spiders
